On behalf of my therapy session treatments involving Dr Whitehead, she takes pride with her professionalism of helping clients in need. I highly recommend Dr Whitehead and sincerely appreciate her dedication to help others in need. Leroy Stanley Sr.

It seems Dr. Whiteheads credentials need to BE VERIFIED. Its interesting that everyone that says something specific that happened all you get is emotionless were sorry about your concern..... I dont think your sorry about any of it. I also believe like another person here that YOU HAVE HAD FRIENDS AND FAMILY LEAVE REVIEWS. NO ONE BELIEVES YOU. IF YOU DONT REALLY GIVE A DAMN, GET OUT OF THE PROFESSION. Ive met people like you Whitehead. The kind that are constantly late with no professionalism about them. I dont think youre real therapist. That is all.

I have been seen by Dr. Whitehead since 2015 and I have nothing, but amazing things to say about what she has done for myself and my family. She has helped with my VA Disability and also helped me be able to better manage my PTSD. My family and I are better for it, and I have trusted no one else. As a Veteran herself, Dr. Whitehead, really devotes herself to understanding military folks and Vets so that we can get the help we need to feel better.

(Update: regarding the complaint I filed against Dr. Whitehead with the NC Psychology Board, the NC Psychology Boards Probable Cause Committee determined that there is probable cause to believe that ethical and/or legal violations occurred and on August 23, 2021, the committee issued a statement of charges against Dr. Whitehead, including a charge for endangering the welfare of a patient). If you want to report Dr. Shenae Whitehead for any alleged unethical, unprofessional, and/or illegal behavior, etc., please contact The NC Psychology Board at ncpsychologyboard.org. Her license # is 5489. And also please contact the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors at ncblpc.org. Her license # there is 8992 / S8992. Both boards will kindly help you with the complaint filing process if you contact them. I would NEVER, NOT EVER, under any circumstances, recommend Dr. Shenae Whitehead or Heart to Heart Counseling and Wellness Center to anyone.

Dr. Whitehead will reply to message saying she doesnt know me and she hasnt had new patients, but dont believe her. Believe me and the other people who have been brave enough to speak out about her.- She doesnt believe her clients and blames them for their mental illnesses- She does not protect client confidentiality (she conducts virtual sessions with family or friends present)- She is unprofessional (late, cancels without notice)- She violates LCSW code of ethics in the above ways and more.Stay as far away from Shenae Whitehead and this cetner as you can.

Mrs. Ashely was so wonderful with my son who is 5 and helping deal with his social anxiety and selective mutism. He was seeing her for a little over a year and has such amazing progress. She was so instrumental in his progress we are so happy we meet her. If were not having to pcs we would have her as his therapist. She really focused on his needs and found different ways to help him which I know is hard when the child will not talk to you. My son was talking to her on his 3rd visit. This is a child that will not qnd did talk to anyone other than the 5 members of his family. The facility was nice and very clean and even during covid they made sure to follow all of the cdc guidelines. Love this place.

I was a patient of Dr. Whitehead’s a few years ago & had an amazing experience and rapport for almost a year and things started going down hill when I requested virtual appointments. She would schedule me for an appointment when she would be at home doing her child’s hair. I should have said this made me uncomfortable because I never felt able to open up about sensitive things. Fast forward a couple of months and I had moved away to go back to college within two months of college I was homeless due to negligent housing and requested an appointment. She said she could get me in later that afternoon and I haven’t heard from her since and that was in 2017. I haven’t been to therapy since then and I’m only writing about it now because I see some recent and not so pleasant reviews while I was looking to see if the counseling services were still open in case I needed records to finally seek therapy elsewhere. I will say around the time Dr. whitehead was going through somethings with the lost of a close family member but I even asked if I could be seen by another therapist if she wasn’t available.

BEWARE!!! Dr. WHITEHEAD is disgustingly unprofessional and is useless unless she is making you feel guilty for having a mental illness. She has no problem violating patient/doctor confidentiality when I was on a phone call with her someone else had commented on my remark. She continues to have a whole conversation ignoring me.

I can’t believe that I had such a garbage experience with Dr. Whitehead that I had to use a different name for this review. She must have bought her credentials and degree because there is no way that she should have ever be in her position. If you care about your children and mental health don’t do it

I really like this place, Jason has been helping my husband and I through the difficulties in our marriage. Id definitely would recommend this place. My only major pet peeve that would and has made me consider finding a new marriage counselor is the receptionist.. You can try to call ALL DAY throughout the day and NO ANSWER. You can leave not one but TWO voice messages and she takes forever to get back to you. My husband and I went to our appointment one day and stood in the lobby waiting for someone to greet us and what not. She finally came out after being in a room and told us to sign in then went back into the room. Its extremely unprofessional there the receptionist is not seated at the front, answering phone calls or even greeting people as they walk in. The receptionist REALLY needs to do better. And pick up the phone. If it continues the next time our appointment comes up, we will find another place to go. I truly feel bad for the therapists here because the receptionist is going to end up running away business due to her lack of professionalism.

LaTonya is extremely unprofessional and does not conduct herself as a therapist should in all aspects of her life. She runs a facebook group that exploits people who suffer from lupus, lets people post about suicidal ideations, ignores it, and has no protocol in place to deal with them. How is that professional or becoming of someone who claims a career in the mental health field? Not only is it irresponsible on her part, its unethical in every sense of the word.

Me and my husband are a military family and Dr. Whitehead is very relatable to us. I love all the staff here. We see more than one person here for other therapies, but this is the best place to go in town.

I have been going to therapy for years and this is the first experience I have had with my children going to therapy. Kristine is one of their workers that my children saw and she was very rude and disrespectful. She not only make me feel bad as a parent for seeking help but she made it clear to me and my husband that we were not liked by her. If you go here I would advise you not to seek Kristine as your counselor!!!!
