Dr. Cox is excellent. he communicates very well and answered all my questions. The therapy dept. is very good and well equipped. My therapist Andy Glidewell is very good. I did have to have a talk with him early on to get him to focus at the job on hand. Big problem is they dont take the Delta variant very seriously at all. UAMS protocols call for EVERYONE to wear a mask. They do not enforce this protocol. A week ago Tuesday a person I know was in the facility w/o a mask. Wednesday she tested positive and notified the facility. I walked in for my Thursday appt. and first thing I saw was 2 people w/o masks. I brought it to the attention of the manager and the therapist. The response was people are doing high intensity workouts and cant wear a mask. And I could go somewhere else if I didnt like it.I also do high intensity workouts there and I wear a mask. The people not wearing masks are teenagers or in their 20s. It is not like they are running a marathon. They might be on a treadmill or bike for 5 minutes at a time. The last time I went in for therapy when I was finished I was doing 15 minutes on the ice machine right next to me was a young man on the other ice machine not wearing a mask. Clearly not doing anything high intensity unless playing on his smart phone counts. I have numerous phone calls and texts to Little Rock to get the situation resolved to no avail. I was told that I could go to another facility. I have now missed several therapy sessions because the therapists refuse to require patients to wear a mask. Washington county is having anywhere from 250 to 300 new cases a day. I find it more than disappointing that a UAMS facility would completely disregard its own protocols and endanger its own patients. Facility gets 5 stars. Doctor gets 5 stars. Therapy staff gets a zero. weighted average 1 star.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Balle and I was very impressed from the minute I spoke to the front desk to the time I saw Dr. Balle. The clinic staff and scheduling department is top notch and very caring. Dr. Balle was excellent and very knowledgeable. I am in the Healthcare industry and the compassion he shows along with his extensive knowledge is something you do not find often. I would highly recommend this office.

Not only have I benefited from Dr. Songys knowledge but he is focused on the patient as a whole. Joan, the nurse that works with him has been helpful as well.

Dr. Cox and Kelly are great. Their office staff are woefully inadequate. Made me pay $1200.00 when my insurance cover it 100%. I explained that my job was physically demanding and they would not allow me back till I was 100% back to normal. When the office filled out my temporary disability, they only filled it out for 6 weeks. Six weeks is when I was able to get out of the sling. Physicians assistant and doctor said I would be out of work for 6 months. Office would only fill out my temporary disability for 6 weeks at a time, delaying my checks. Uncooperative argumentative would not listen.

Dr. Cox is awesome! He really knows his stuff! I had a MRI from another doctor and all of my system lead to surgery! I cant be more happy with how I have been treated there.

My 15 year old son had to have a labral tear repaired. He was beyond terrified of being put to sleep and operated on. I cant even begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful Dr. Cox and his staff were. There are no words how grateful I am at the compassionate care they gave to him. They talked to him and answered his million questions. The anestiologist Sean McCarthy is a gem. The nurses are top notch and Dr. Cox gets my highest recommendation to anyone looking for shoulder care.

Dr Cox is one, if not the best shoulder surgeon in the southeastern US. Not my opinion, he was recommended to me by a board member at a hospital in LR, who is also a surgeon and founded the hospital. Cant get a much better review than that. Please dont mistake me for these patients who worship their surgeons, I FIRED two surgeons for bad interpersonal communications skills before I saw him. I am extremly critical of doctors because Ive had a separated shoulder misdiagnosed, a broken neck AND a broken back that previous doctors missed, so when I say he is the best, I know what Im talking about. In my humble opinion, he is as good or better at interpersonal communication than any doctor Ive ever been to see. Believe me, I would relish giving him a bad review if he deserved it, but he deserves the best!!!I noted a one star review below, I cant help but think that person only heard what they wanted to or werent listening closely. When I came to Dr Cox I couldnt sleep more than 30m-1hr a night because my shoulders hurt so bad. Evidently I had been walking around for years with torn tendons In both shoulders, doing extreme kayaking, mountain biking etc. Yes I was in terrible pain, but if you can fight MMA in a cage, going in w 2 broken ribs, torn tendons, severed tendon etc as a white belt and TKO a black belt with those injuries, you may be able to relate to the pain I can absorb. After, the Xrays, MRI etc, It was determined I had 4 torn tendons and a severed tendon In my right shoulder and 3 torn tendons with massive scar tissue on my bicep tendon. I couldnt lift a 5lb weight without being in excruciating pain.Dr Cox healed me!!!! I have since torn my bicep tendon in my left shoulder and he caught a tear in my right shoulder as well, but thats nothing compared to what I endured before recovering from my surgery.Since then Ive had, knee surgery, hernia surgery and back surgery. Although those surgeons all did a great job......Dr Cox is on another level altogether!!! I would trust him to perform surgery on my 86 year old mother, thats how much I think of that guy!!!!Oh, and the physical therapists at the shoulder center are far above the norm. I should know, ive had 10 surgeries in the last 5 years. Andy Glidewell is a cut above any Physical Therapist Ive ever encountered (i lost count after 10).More importantly, Dr Cox and the physical therapists there actually CARE about you!!! Damn Im tearing up, but after the terrible care Ive received at other practices in NWA, I am proud to shed a few tears of joy and gratitude, because Andy and Dr Cox have given me another chance to enjoy life and be happy again. When I had knee surgery recently, the nurses couldnt understand why I wanted to go to the shoulder center to get my knee rehabilitated, after the 7th time they tried to sign me up with their physical therapists, I had to let them have it straight out, Im sure your guys are competent, but I dont want someone who is simply competant, I want someone who thrives on taking care of people, love their jobs and is the best at what they do.There you have it. In my sometimes humble opinion, there is no other surgeon or physical therapist that are on the same level as those guys!!!
