I had an appointment at this place last week and it was canceled last minute because my primary doctor was not available to see me. They rescheduled the appointment with my primary doctor for yesterday and when I went there I was told I have to see another provider because my primary care doctor was not available once again. In all fairness, I have been going to this place for over 10 years and I never had any issues, but it seems that lately they cannot get their appointments straight.

I use to work here several years back. I was Jim Hienes nurse. Im a pt there and see miss Hall. Jim Heine is the best. Miss Hall is great too Summer , who works up front is very sweet and I never have anything to complain about on her. My husband goes there, I dont care for the pharmacy D. Since capefear has took over I can say I see a huge difference. Seems the staff are not as happy. They appear over worked. I think it was a mistake to partner with cape fear. I know most of the providers and they are all great. I have mixed feeling about Dr kurahna after the way he treated my poor mother. I recommend any anybody there but him. Everyone is nice but there is a difference for sure. Cape fear definitely changed this place. I miss Dr Rucker.. I would recommend this facility. Ify ou can get Jim Heine as your provider you will have done extremely well.

Since being bought by Cape Fear the clinic has taken a steep dive. Now add COVID-19 into the mix. Simple tasks such as just checking in to be seen is a pain. There are no signs except on the floor which the check in line is 6 feet from the other people in the checkin line, however it is literally next to the check out line which has been moved to the front and it runs in front of the doors to enter the doctors office and the main entrance so there is no social distance. They have multiple windows but open ones next to each other instead of skipping to allow space. No hand sanitizer in the dispensers and want you to use common pens to sign, without any sanitizing in between people. If it wasn’t for my actual doctor and her nurse I would have left. Also they have had this digital checkin process for over a year and don’t use it. This could help with the issues above. If you use the digital processes you currently still have to wait in the long line and answer the same questions in person. They are not helping the process of keeping people safe in the simplest of ways. Very disappointed in how it is currently set up and ran.

If you like sitting in the waiting room for 1+ hours after your scheduled appointment time, then this is the place for you! Also, if you like being seen in February, never receiving a bill in mail or phone call and then suddenly getting a letter in the mail in October from a collections office for $25 then you should definitely become a patient here! Yes, they have my correct info. Address has been the same since I first started going there when I was a kid. This place really has their stuff together! I work in the medical field (with insurance and billing) so I know how this stuff works. And I know about good customer service and professionalism, which this place definitely doesn’t have.

I was a relatively new patient to Dr. Mitchell. My first appointment went well; Dr. Mitchell was friendly and attentive. I was excited to have established care with a new physician after moving to the Fayetteville area. Upon leaving my first appointment, I scheduled another appointment for a full physical with the front office staff. I confirmed this second appointment several days prior. I arrived 10 minutes early and signed in. Several minutes later I was told that my appointment would have to be rescheduled due to time constraints and double booking. The next soonest available appointment was nearly 1.5 months later. I understand that mistakes happen but Dr. Mitchell and her office staff should have the courtesy to notify patients of scheduling changes prior to them arriving for their appointments. I feel that this office is either extremely disorganized or completely unconcerned about their patients. For this reason, I will not be returning as a patient and I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I brought my husband to the clinic complaining of extreme pain in his wrist. His wrist was red, swollen and painful to touch. Ms. Lightner, PA, examined him, said she didn’t know what was wrong and told him to go home, take Tylenol and put ice on it and come back in a few days if it still hurt. She didn’t bother to ask anyone else, including a physician, for a second opinion. My husband was in so much pain, he asked me to take him to the ER at Ft. Bragg. I did that and after being examined he was seen by an orthopedic surgeon who performed emergency surgery shortly after. She said that his wrist was extremely infected and if he had waited much longer, as Ms. Lightner suggested doing, his entire arm would have been infected. After being discharged from the hospital, we contacted my husband’s primary doctor, Dr. Fleming, at Fayetteville Family Medical, to tell him about the poor care my husband received. He didn’t apologize or suggest that procedures would be reviewed. He only said they “would try to do better next time.” Because of this incident, despite being patients since 1996, we left the practice.

I have been going to this office since 2007, since then I have had two doctors leave and a nurse leave all which I were close to, that should tell you something. They have obscure drama and incompetency issues including not ordering medications on time to have in the office. The front desk is the main issue. They are rude, impatient, and do not take their jobs seriously. They have no regard for patient privacy and will yell out certain matters while the lobby listens. After they refused to see me for a follow up from the ER, I got my medical records, and left. They blame the staffing issues on the patients and the office manager is unwilling to acknowledge they have problems. They need serious reform before they put more patients in danger like they did with me. The doctors and their nurses are fantastic! That is a plus! But the good doctors eventually leave. Please do not go there! There are so many better doctors and front desk staff in town. I can say a lot more about their horrible treatment, but it would be a novel.

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I had a 6 month check up scheduled in January which they confirmed and when I arrived for my appointment, they said oh we cancelled that appointment, the doctor is not here. My 6 month follow up for a physical was scheduled for August 29, 2019, got my confirmation call 2 days prior and then today, all of a sudden, this afternoon, not even 24 hours notice that the Doctor will not be in again, and my appointment has been cancelled. I will be finding another Doctor. This place has gone way down hill since CFV took over. I am also sending them a bill for a broken appointment fee, they did not give me 24 hours notice. I receive a bill on some labels from a physical that I had done in March 28 2018. I receive the bill Oct 26 2018. I called the billing dept of Cape Fear Valley (who now owns Faye. Family) I was told that they had no insurance info on file. My insurance info has not changed in years. Same employer same insurance info for over 2yrs now. They Im also informed that they can not file it for me know because my insurance company has a 90 day filing policy. How is this my problem? Cape Fear Family or whatever the name is now didnt do there job correctly and Im expected to pay this $515 bill. Like I told the young lady on the phone. Good Luck Sweetheart getting this bill paid. The Patient and family of the Patient are assigned one primary Dr and also a PA (team). Our family has a history with this clinic for over 3 decades. I would not go anywhere else! They have grown and done so much to improve and provide even better service for their patients. They have extended care that is open with most Dr offices are closed (7days a week) They have full service so one does not have to run all over town to get things done (most of the time). They have their own radiology dept, their own lab, and until recently had their own pharmacy. Unfortunately they just chose to close their pharmacy and understand why it had to be closed. It was nice while it lasted. :)I sincerely believe they have the best PAs in the country!!!!They know all their patients personally, even the personnel that do not work on the patients assigned team. They are very personable to each and every one. They are just a big family for us all!If you want top care, you should choose this clinic!God Bless.

They are some of the very Best Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners (at least ones that have been there the longest and I know well) in the area/NC. Dr Sampson and her assistant Phae(?sp) are my assigned Team with a PA/NPI have used Me. Heine forever. I also use Ms Lightner. They give back to their community in so many ways. They do a lot of volunteer medical services at public assistant clinics on their off times. Real down to earth people. We are Longtime patients for decades(yes have visited and researched others at times but cannot compete).First Grandmother was a patient no longer with us on earth. They did so well with her that after hubby retired from military we began using them. My children now grown also use them that live in area(even one and spouse for the longest time came back themselves and brought their children back for medical needs even after moving out of town over hr+ away for almost two yrs until they found one in their area they were satisfied with). Now grandchildren some now adults use them. They’ll let you know they trust them with all their heart. They bend over backwards to care for their patients going the extra mile.First, One has to remember they are humans too.Second, not very often do you have to wait long to be seen after your appointment time. Please remember, if you do and you do all you can do ie. If longer than 15-20 min go up to front desk and let them know you were just checkingThey usually are on top of it and are aware. Now, before you get attitude, think about it...if you are scheduled a particular amount of time for your medical appointment and your Physician finds you have a bigger medical issue that needs to be taken care of(handled) ASAP while taking care of you. You should hope they do it rather than saying all out of time, later. This clinic wouldn’t allow that. They will take care of their patients! It may be more time over your scheduled time into someone else’s time.Every Life is important! I would hope you realize if they go over your time, someone already in the back has needs that were found at their visit ASAP, very possibly an immediate matter of life or death. This doesn’t happen often, but please understand that you would pray if it was you that they would take care of you as well.Don’t get an attitude and act without thinking such situations out, placing you as the patient that needed the treatment(s)/service(s).You will have no regrets if you become their patient(s).I have had some personal feelings and issues about them merging with Cape Fear. That’s for another day. This is about the people they service my family and me.Pray all is well with youGod bless

My doctor tests for one thing and if that comes back normal thats it, doesnt bother to look at anything else, I have stayed due to my loyalty to the place but Ive had enough, the last draw was when they refused to see my husband who was clearly in distress due to the Flu and strep throat infection, running a fever and they said they were closed but the sign said their closing time was 10:30 am and we got there right at 10:20 am. I told the lady at the front desk he needed treatment as after the third day treatment for the flu does not work she said yeah thats right but we are closed, cant help you thats it, its time to find a new practice. Thats too much extra work for someone that took a half day off of work and had other things to do. Its a shame places like this try to get over on you. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I have been a patient at Fayetteville Family Medical for 5 years, my husband for 15+. Since being picked up by Cape Fear Valley, every interaction I have had to have involving making an appointment or getting an Rx re-written has become more complicated, less effective and generally frustrating. This is particularly important b/c i take a medicine which needs to be re-written every single month (cannot be written for multiple months). I love Ms. Hall as my healthcare provider and she is the ONLY reason there are 2 stars instead of 1. The level of patient care has dropped dramatically. I used to rave about this practice to my friends and family who were frustrated with their current healthcare providers... Now? Cant do it. Really disappointing.Update: it is now Monday and still no call back. I called, apparently during lunch hours, and got the answering service. Which is basically no more than a paid message runner (One way, of course). I still dont have the med I left a message about last Thursday and have no idea if that message was even received! This practice has gone from the best service ever to the worst service ever. Hope it was worth it, docs... your reputation is sitting squarely in the mud next to your buddy, Cape Fear Valley.

I turned around, headed towards Ramsey St. and called HPN.I was placed on hold. I literally made it to Ramsey from Hope Mills Rd. before someone andwered the phone to speak with me. After repeating my problem to 3 different people, I was informed that they wouldnt see my son today, he had to reschedule. The man actually thought I would try to reschedule after that teain wreck. I came for my appointment today and mistakenly had the wrong date, I apologized and asked if any other doctor would be available to see me since I NEEDED to be seen, and she tried to say no but another employee working alongside her spoke up & corrected her saying that actually another doctor was open ALL afternoon. She then tried to act like that particular doctor didnt accept my insurance, and again, the other employee said yes, he does take her insurance. She basically didnt want to help me which really doesnt sit well with me seeing as how I also work in the medical field and take my patients health/well-being VERY seriously. Also, the nurse that brought me back wasnt nice, she was short with me, when asking what I was here for, she pretty much made me out to be stupid. I missed work on Friday called him up and he was very rude to me and my husband stating if you have been following my instructions you should be better ! Finally I was taken to a gurney to lie down and he came in and touched my back, told me I was having back spasms told them to do an x-ray and left. I was in so much pain I could hardly stand for the x-ray. He prescribed a muscle relaxer and gave it to a nurse to give me. I went to another doctor the next day, they ordered my x-ray for Dr. Khurana to see what happened. My back was broken.I called the office manager to complain and fire him as my doctor. She called him in, he insisted he did a full exam on me. That was not true. He said I was in too much pain to remember. I would remember having my BP checked, temp, ears, eyes and a stethoscope on me! Dr. Khurana said it was not a bad break and he was going to talk to me about it at our 30 day follow up. He never asked me to schedule a 30 day follow up. Wait 30 days to tell me my back was broken! The clinic switched me to a PA. I have had so much better care from this PA.
