ZERO STARS. Im in disbelief about my appointment. How does this man have a license? I have been in pain for years, Ive waited well over a month and a half to see this man and this was my experience?! Dr. Goins is rude and very dismissive. After he looked at my MRI and gave me his quick thoughts, that was it. After that his attitude was well, I did my part. Bye.I had questions about whats going on with my back and my pain, and he just starting walking out of the room. I had to say please to get him to stay in the room. To him that meant Ok, one question, then Im leaving because this man literally WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM after I got ONE question out. He didnt even really answer the question. I have never met a more dismissive doctor in my life. I am genuinely shocked at his behavior. He couldnt even pretend to care. Please do not see Goins for anything, see Dr. Harvey instead.

I gave 1 star but I would put 0.... Im beyond disappointed with the overall experience, I seen Dr. Goins one time and he seemed genuine and concerned. He ordered MRIs stat and then called me with my results and referring me to an Emory neurosurgeon prior to continuing treatment, come to find out this neurosurgeon hasnt been at this practice for years. I contacted his staff and never received a follow-up as I called 2xs and informed them of my symptoms becoming worse. Im a single mom with 4 girls so this situation has been taking a toll for a few months. Bed side manner and communication is of the utmost importance to me, I dont want to be a FILE name if someone has to go digging in my spine. To let obscene amount of time to go by without a follow up is frustrating. Time is of the essence and I didnt experience that... from Resurgeons either as he was not my first doctor there.

The place is ok but Dr. Goins, I think is unprofessional. After completion of surgery on my wife, he did not come out and give me the report on how everything went and later I found out he went home. I watched all the other Doctors come out and speak to their clients but he fell to do the same. I sat in that waiting area for 10 hours and still dont know how my wife is doing. The nurse said she appears to but okay but shes not the doctor and cant give me any information. They paiged him and left my number and I still got no answer, I then called his office and once again no answer.

Been dealing with Dr Goins for well over a year and hes very professional and will do whatever he can to help you.

I have seen Dr Goins on and off with my back issues. He over time has performed 3 separate surgies on my back. Dr. Goins has been wonderful and caring to me. He listens to what I have to say and genuinely seems to care. His staff have always been very curtious. The only negative I have is when I started seeing him back in 2009, 2010 you actually saw him ever appointment know 2019,2020 you have to see either his NP or PA to get an appointment in timely factor. I like his NA Kimberly but I never want to see his PA Shane after his poorly personal treatment of me in the hospital the day after I had surgery. I have also had many appointments with Dr. Kelly for epidural back injection, and he is fabulous, caring, listens, and he is very gentle administering the injections. And if I dont get relief with injections he gets me back over to Dr. Goins. I would not have any second thoughts in recommending Dr. Goins or Dr. Kelly.

Dr Goins is an exceptional surgeon. My husband had pain daily for the last 10 years. Thanks to Dr Goins he is pain free today. We thank God for Dr Goins.

Dr. Goins seems personable and knowledgeable but I didnt feel as though he had any interest in actually being a part of my follow up and longterm care. His staff is equally detached and not very helpful. Pretty distressful for me as I now have to start my search for a physician all over again.

If i could...i will give him no stars. About 6 months ago I took my mom with him because of a recommendation from another doctor who said he was a great doctor. Well, I took her with him a couple of times and some of them..he didnt even show up and they didnt took the time to give us a call so we wouldnt drive so far. He clearly said to my mom she could have surgery in one of her appointments...but that he wanted for her to try physical therapy and more injections for pain...and he said that if that didnt help, he would start sending her for blood work and cardiologist for the surgery.My mom did everything and nothing helped...she reached the point where she could barely walk. We went to see him to plan for the surgery and he just said he couldnt do it because it was very risky because of her medical conditions ( diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension) and he never said that at the very beginning, he didnt even send her with cardiologist or for the blood work. He gave my mom hopes and nothing else. He just wanted money I guess...made us waste our time...my mom felt very disappointed and hopeless after that visit.But, guess what? My mom didnt gave up and went to Mexico with a great doctor who has cured a lot of people who have been told they have no cure or that they cant do surgery on them.My mom had surgery days ago and she came out perfect! She looks so happy and she can walk and looks much straighter. I cant thank that doctor enough. Faith was strong too...but the doctor you choose is very important. Keep your self from going with Goins. And no matter what you have to pay, you health is more important than anything...so search well to find your Angel.

The support staff at Resurgens is really personable, and very courteous. I even brought in chocolate for Valentine’s Day to show my appreciation to them. After seeing PA Spencer for several visits, he passed my case on to Dr. Goins for continued care. I had paperwork from my job for him to fill out and he was very rude and dismissive in regards to the paperwork. Because I am a law enforcement officer and need to be fit for duty, I wanted to explain to him the nature of the paperwork before he actually had the time to fill the paperwork out. He cut me off immediately and rudely stated that “an office visit is to address medical issues”’. So tell me what visit would it be where I could offer an explanation for the paperwork my employer needs filled out for me to be “fit for duty”? Dr. Goins acted dismissive, detached, somewhat annoyed to even be dealing with my case. Furthermore, after having dealt with about 3 other specialists for the past 8 yrs because of being relocated due to employer mobility requirement, this doctor didn’t even request for past treatment and MRI’s from prior doctors, nor did he even entertained any information I tried to give him from previous specialists. He arrogantly bragged about his own credentials and cut me off. I will not ever go back to Resurgens because of this treatment specifically by Dr. Goins. I would drive an hour away if I had to receive at least the “basic” curtesy I deserve for the treatment I need for my injuries. If I could give Dr. Goins a negative 2, I would.

Dr. Goins and his staff are exceptional. He had tests done to make certain of the diagnosis before proceeding to do surgery even though information was sent to him from another doctor. His staff is expedient, kind, and professional as well. The love for his patients flows through to his patients. Thanks Dr. Goins and staff!!!
