Dr. Adkins, has been my sons assigned doctor since he was put on Arkids, and I have never met a more incompetent Doctor. In the several times we have been including when my son had a 103 degree fever he simply told me that Kids get fevers Today was the last straw, I made an appointment because I didnt feel like sitting forever at the hospital just to get a doctors note saying my son cant be at school, because Im pretty sure its chicken pox. I got there at around 9:30 and my appointment was for 10:00 I checked in with Stephanie, acknowledging that she talked to me earlier about my son possibly having Chicken Pox and she told me to take a seat. Around 11:00 after the waiting room was empty except for my son and I, I asked if they forgot about us. Stephanie hadnt checked us in, coming up to me with form to fill out apologizing that I would have remembered if someone came to my window. Finally after an almost a two hour wait I get called back (by a different doctor but no doubt the same results I expected) they look at my son and yes he has had all his vaccines for Chicken Pox So for two minutes I get it might or might not be Chicken Pox, because we dont want to cause panic in the school system here is a note saying he is excused from school, bye. Maybe Im being harsh but if it is Chicken Pox, okay it can only run its course, but if it isnt, shouldnt you ask questions? Have you changed laundry soap? Has he eaten anything different? Has he gotten into Poison whatever? Just to have okay its a rash, bye does not make me feel like my son is being cared about. As soon as I got home I put in a request for a new doctor. I would not recommend this doctor or this facility.

Dr. Adkins is one of those Drs that makes you feel like youre doing something wrong by actually going to the Doctor. His partner is AMAZING if there is any reason I cant get in to see her and he is my only option I either go some where else or suffer.

I went to Dr. Adkins and was very pleased for years, then moved away and was thrilled he was still practicing when I moved back. Some medical needs and tests had fallen through the cracks with another provider, and Dr. Adkins moved on it quickly and had everything cheduled within a day! He is very comprehensive, knowledgable, and efficient. I very highly recommend him and his wonderful office and nursing staff!
