Less than one star. Very very frustrated. They are doing false and duplicate claims to insurance. One year after the procedure they are still sending bills with different amounts and every-time different amount comes on bill. Do not engage with them in any procedures.

LESS THAN ONE STAR (if that were a choice)! Do not walk...run to another office! ANY other office. The client service has been terrible from the beginning. The nurse concierge lacks communication and patient service skills. Have been requesting to speak with her supervisor for over a month...nothing in return. Waste of time and money. Please dont be taken in, you will not receive the care they promise.

WOW, I just called this office and said, I need to make an appointment I was immediately told, We dont have any availability. He didnt even ask me what I needed an appointment for.... just told me no. I said, Okay, so you have no appointments available? Then he VERY RUDELY said What do you need to be seen for! I could literally hear him rolling his eyes. I replied, If you are going to be rude to me, Ill go somewhere else. and I hung up. Ive never heard such a rude person answer the phone at a doctors office. Glad Ill never been stepping foot into this place.

So have been trying to get an appointment for a while now. The first time I called, a male answered and as he was looking for availability he hung up on me. I know the line did not disconnect bc when I tried calling back it said their office was closed so I knew he hung up so he could just clock out for the day. Very rude. I decided to try again this week but this time I keep getting sent to an overflow line where I leave my information and am promised they will return my call. Days pass...no response. Call again and the same thing occurs...leave my information hoping they will return my call...nope nothing. Awful customer service. Have never had to deal with this much disorganization at a medical practice.

Ive been seeing Dr. Tan on and off throughout the years since 2011 and more steadily since 2017 due to increasing GI issues. I cannot speak in regards to the other doctors with Gastro Health but Dr. Tan has been a saving grace for me. When all over doctors are narrow sighted and pass you off if your situation is too complicated, Dr. Tan has worked with me and kept an open mind. If I ever need to reach him or his awesome nurse (I believe her name is Vicki) its super easy to do thru the Patient Portal and they usually respond back very quickly. Im so thankful to have found a knowledgeable and caring GI doctor! Highly recommend Gastro Health & Dr. Tan!

Wish I could give 0 stars. This office is completely disfunctional. I have been trying to schedule my routine colonoscopy since NOVEMBER 11...it is now December 10th and every time I call I get the run-around. I completed the fast track form online as requested in November and waited for them to call me to schedule the procedure as directed, to no avail...the last 2 weeks Ive spoken to at least 5-6 different individuals, been hung up on and transferred, then disconnected. Ive left messages and they are not returned. The last person I spoke with said, I now have to do a Tele-Heath visit first (why no one else I spoke with told me that is beyond me) SO frustrating!I AM DONE!

This place is the worst. Never again. Im a healthcare professional, and I was shocked at how poorly organized they were. After waiting an hour to be called back, I was placed in a large room separated from other patients by a mere sheet. I could hear everyones personal medical details being shared with the nursing team. The person next to me was on seizure meds, and I could hear all of their personal information because there is no privacy whatsoever. #norespect Then I received a bill from the anesthesiologist after the procedure for $5K, which I had to personally resolve with my insurance company. They dont tell you that the anesthesia provider is out of network until you arrive and are on the table. Worst experience ever. As unpleasant an experience as a colonoscopy is, this only made it worse.

Please don’t waste your time or money. The appointments seem to be very rushed when it comes to trying to talk to at least one of the particular doctors that I dealt with. Even some of the staff that I’ve talk to admits to that particular doctor is very rough around the edges very little people person skills. I had a great experience with a different doctor but this last time was extremely disappointing.

I think its fortunate that you cant schedule an appointment. Just avoid starting with them and save yourself time and frustration. I finally came on to Google to check out the reviews for Gastroenterology Associates of Northern Virginia because 1) It took two months from the time I submitted my information to them to the time they called me back. 2) Like other reviewers, they would leave a message, and I would call back immediately. Every single time - not the vast majority - but every single time it went to voicemail. I finally looked at the Google reviews and am not surprised. I give up.

Dr. Asma Khopra was incredible! Easiest prep ever ~ I recommend highly the white cranberry juice - It actually tasted great! Do not use Gatorade - salty mess and makes you want to throw up. Great treatment - Done at Fair Oaks Hospital! 5 STARS She knows her stuff! By the way ~ Did I have to book way far in advance - Yes, I did, because everyone wants to use a great practice! I care that the people who are going to actually perform the task are the BEST at what they are going to do! I dont care how long I have to wait to get the BEST! My mother died of colon cancer at 59. Trying to prevent colon cancer is my main objective here. Thats my priority!

Terrible customer service, terrible back office for scheduling and appointments. I had to call three times and leave 2 messages online and on the phone until someone called me back to schedule the initial appointment. Its been a week since they were supposed to call and schedule actual procedure and nothing. When you call good luck trying to get anything other than receptionist who transfers you to voicemail.

I saw Dr. Hegab and he started out nice but when I started asking questions he started to get annoyed. By the end of our appointment, his voice was quite raised and he threatened to not refill a prescription if I didnt do the procedure he wanted me to do. He obviously is also not a good listener because I already told him my insurance wasnt covering that medication and that I was purchasing it online... I would highly recommend any woman who is smart enough to think for herself when it comes to medical decisions (with expert advise - obviously) to NOT see Dr. Hegab.

Not recommended. I never meet doctor Peter L Scudera despite paying him two visits, only to be seen by his student and they dont allow you to switch doctors. They said my wife condondition wasnt severe but it was to us and we didnt like waiting so long to be treated. We put up with their schedulers attitude and waited 3 to 4 weeks for our appointments because they are always busy. I decided to get a new doctor when they give me us an appointment 3 weeks later in an office 15 miles away.

It takes you forever to make an appointment. I called 5 times, still won’t be able to speak with a person who can schedule me an appointment. Very frustrated! After a long wait, I finally got a message from Brooke, asking me to return her call for the appointment, which I did just a minute later. But the receptionist insisted their office was closed, asked me to call back the next day. Every time I called, I need to spell my first and last names, DOB and phone number. Why??? How many more calls I need to make?

While not a client, my mother is, and since I take her to every appointment, I have been treated with professionalism, and taken to the back quickly. While sometimes it does seem to take a while once we get in the back, I have not experienced any negative communications from the employees. This was posted in response to two 1 star reviews. I was not asked to post this, I just think we have had way better service than 1 star. Maybe things have changed.

I have reflected on my experience with the doctors at this location extensively and have determined in the most unbiased way that I can (also based off of conversations in the ensuing years with other MDs) that I was taken advantage of by exploitative and overzealous medical doctors at this practice who did not exercise due diligence in creating a diagnosis and determining appropriate treatment steps. In short: I was suffering from rapid weightloss and repeatedly informed techs, nurses, and doctors that I suffer from a diagnosed severe mental health problem and thought that it could be related to the physical symptoms I was experiencing. They never once asked me about my diet, exercise, or nutrition. Instead they proceeded to continue escalating screening tests (that kept showing that nothing was physically abnormal) and eventually had me undergo an unnecessary colonoscopy (I was in my early 20s at the time). Once results came back completely clear the doctors continued insisting that I perform more screenings to be safe. Now realizing that something clearly was sketchy with this medical team and seeing my weight loss only continuing to worsen I consulted with my psychiatrist who immediately recognized that I was displaying symptoms of anorexia nervosa and referred me to a nutritionist who was able to stabilize my weight and overall health over the course of just several weeks.I have never felt so taken advantage of by a medical provider, the doctors at this practice should be ashamed of themselves. Before seeking a diagnosis/ treatment here i strongly recommend you solicit outside opinions from other medical professionals/specialists.

If I could give zero I would.. The staff is rude and disorganize. The receptionist and another member of the front exchanging words about anotger patients appointment. The receptionist being rude towards me and once I brought it to her attention she made me sit for 1hour while she said quoted I called to verify your insurance. The same information she called me the day before to verify. By the this they called me in the back. Im asked the same question from survey and sent back to the waiting room (within 5 mins)to schedule an appointment. This was not a good referral especially after driving an hour for the appointment. Very disappointed.

If I could give zero I would be doctor is good but the staff is horrendous multiple times had to cancel colonoscopy for their mishaps and disorganization. They forgot to provide with the prep info then came to pick up the items and it was not ready made me sit for 20-25 min while they dilly dallied to get it figured out! Very unprofessional and disorganized!

This place makes me angry every time I think about it- I don’t understand why people go into a profession that is supposed to help people feel better, and all they do is treat the patient like garbage. Im going to try and not rant, but it’s difficult- let me tell you the reasons why I think GANV (Chantilly) and Dr. Kim are worthless:1. They scheduled my colonoscopy & endoscopy “double feature” for 2pm on a Friday- but I wasn’t supposed to eat after Wednesday night. Every single person I’ve talked to since confirms a different/better practice gave them a morning appointment.2. My appointment was at 2pm but they didn’t take me back until AFTER 4:00pm. Are you kidding me? They never apologized or acknowledged the inconvenience they caused myself and my driver (because their policy says a driver has to be present and wait the entire time in their lobby). Also, you’d think they wouldn’t be so heartless as to turn their tv to a network channel (and have a sign posted saying no one can touch the tv) that showed food commercials every 10 minutes. That added insult to injury (no pun intended).3. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for the copay and wouldn’t bother to explain why.4. They berated me when I started waking up from anesthesia - they said I didn’t prep properly and they had to stop it and I would need to make another appointment. I tried to explain that I followed the directions on the prep medicine, but they didn’t want to hear it (and oh yeah I was groggy from the drugs they pumped me full of). I’m pretty sure that it was more likely that since they didn’t get me back until after 4/didn’t likely start the procedure until after 5pm, they just exaggerated the first thing they could think of as an excuse to end the procedure early.5. Dr. Kim basically just smirked and informed me I had internal hemorrhoids (sorry for the TMI), tossed the printed report on my chest, and walked out. Now yes, I was coming out of anesthesia, but even my driver mentioned it. They didn’t bother explaining anything or following up the next day to discuss the results - I didn’t know I had a hiatal hernia until I read the report later! I didn’t get to be informed by the doctor that I had it, what it was, whether or not mine was severe enough to require surgery, etc.In conclusion? GANV-Chantilly and Dr. Kim suck and not only will I never go back, I will throw a party the day that terrible place closes.

I took my father to this facility (Chantilly) & received the WORST service from Dr. Kenneth Mirkin. The staff was extremely cordial & the wait was barely 15 minutes in the lobby. Once we were in the room it took less than 2 minutes for the doctor to arrive.Due to a language barrier I always take my parents to their doctor visits to translate for them. When Dr. Mirkin entered the room, he was cordial, shook both of our hands. He asked us what brings your father here today. I had provided the doctor with my fathers medical information & advised him that my father needed a colonoscopy.Dr. Mirkin did NOT examine my father, instead he looked at my father & asked him When did you come to the United States?. I translated his question to my father & his answer was 1967. When I relayed the information to Dr. Mirkin, his response was Wow, since 1967 & you still do not speak English?.First off, what does that have to do with his office visit? Will that question or answer help with this doctor when he performs the colonoscopy? The time spend with this doctor was no more than 5 minutes! Which clearly tells you that this doctor did not socialize with us to ask that type of question. When Dr. Mikrin guided us to the scheduler, I over heard him saying It is an older guy while pointing our direction!Dr. Mirkin has NO bedside manners & needs to understand that my father came to this country when he was in his 30s. It is common for folks like himself who did/do not have the time to learn a 2nd language especially if their jobs or daily lifestyle does not require speaking another language. Thanks to the scheduler, Emily, who was a saint for scheduling my fathers colonoscopy with another doctor. If your PCP refers you to this facility, make sure you speak perfect English or else DO NOT schedule with Kenneth Mirkin!
