This doctor and his associates and their arrogant boss treated my son for nine months thinking he got Crohn’s disease; and because their diagnosis and treatment were wrong and did nothing to improve my son’s condition, he ended up in the surgery room, where they discovered he didn’t have Crohn’s disease and all he had was an inflamed appendix!!!I wonder why their boss is that arrogant!! I wish I meet him again to tell him what I think of him

I should have read what other people said about this doctor before I decided to visit him. He did my endoscopy. Ordered some lab work and prescribed treatment. I had to call his office multiple times until I got my lab results. After treatment I tried scheduling a follow up appointment. The earliest appointment was in three months.

My primary care physician referred me to this doctor, I was hesitant because of the bad reviews, but decided to go any way as I trusted my primary care physician; huge mistake; I should have gone with my first instinct and declined; I would not trust my body to this man and neither should you.He has an official reprimand from the Virginia board of medicine and for good reason: making fun of a patient during a colonoscopy when he is in the most vulnerable position of his life, what a despicable act, where do they find these people……I am also done with my PCP, she should have never referred me to him, “what was she thinking”, it confirms that we are just dollar signs to these people. Just makes me mad that’s all……

I can vouch first hand that Dr.Shaw is one of the best in his field. If not for his knowledge, experience, and persistence in communicating with my husband, my husband would definitely not be alive today. Dr. Shaw has been our Dr. for over 10 years now. He gives us all the time we need in appointments, is thorough, and direct with his explanations. I cannot give a give a higher recommendation.

Please dont listen to these negative reviews that are not from real patients but saw something in the news about Dr. Shah. He is an incredible Doctor and was one of the only people to help me when we moved here from Ohio. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced. Ive been going to him for 3 years now and I would recommend him to anyone. I am having issues again and his office got me in quickly for an endoscopy and now I am just waiting for results.

I almost avoided Dr. Shah until I Googled the articles that others refer to. So this review is written based on my actual patient experience. I arrived at INOVA Fair Oaks on time and the team for Dr. Shah greeted me and prepared me for both a colonoscopy and endoscopy. The team was professional, friendly and caring. I was told all about the procedures and what to expect. Dr. Shah came in to meet me prior to the procedures as well and was kind and discussed what would be occurring while I was anesthetized.Following the procedure, while in the recovery room with my spouse, the team explained the recovery time and what to expect the rest of the day. Dr. Shah met with us to provide an overview of the results of the procedures and what to expect as far as future test results and follow-up. He was thorough and reassuring.I have no hesitations whatsoever in recommending Dr. Shah.

This was by far the worst experience I have had with a doctors office and then a doctor. The amount of anxiety that I experienced on my first visit to their office for being three minutes late to my appointment in which I was waiting for for about two months was unacceptable. They were overbooked and for me to be turned away was very frustrating. They have no cell phone service or any way to communicate if you need to gather any information that you have stored on the cloud. With all of that being said now I will speak about my experience with Dr. Shah. He was extremely abrasive, rude, and had no and showed no genuine concern after conducting colonoscopy and endoscopy. Did not even ask how I was feeling immediately after the procedure. His arrogance was shocking.

In all fairness, from my experience with Dr. Shah I can say he is a great physician. I have gone through two ERCP procedures with him and he has been nothing but very professional in explaining what is going on before and after the procedure.I would also like to share a good word for one of the nurse practitioners in his office, Lois Lee. During my hospital stay for my first procedure, while I had a blocked bile duct, she was excellent in explaining in detail what was going on and what to expect. She was also very professional and friendly. The admin/office staff, however, is a different story. They give the impression of lack of training/knowledge and normally not knowing whats going on. In preparation for my 2nd procedure, they never sent me written instructions. The day before my appointment I called for instructions and a person from the office gave me very vague instructions, including the time at which I needed to show up at the hospital. As a result I showed up 30 minutes late and was questioned about it. Recently, I had to call again for a third appointment and the person who picked the phone didnt even know what an ERCP was.

He is not a very friendly doctor. Also it took almost more than a month to get my colonoscopy result. He did not make any follow up to explain the result. His office crew is he worst I have been experiencing in my life time. But you know, that is how they do business ,can not change it. All you could do on your side is, find a better option. Good luck.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Shah for over 20 years. This Doctor is brilliant, professional, compassionate, and takes the time to talk with his patients -- both pre- and post op. His staff have always been professional, informative and courteous to us. Please, those of you who are spinning an old story, ask yourself if your staff, children, family, or colleagues have ever done anything distasteful that you could not control in the moment. This Doctor is a good professional individual. Please refrain from your attacks from behind your electronic devices.

Terrible awful doctor he deserves less than one star. He treats his patients like trash and ] only wants money. Does not know how to diagnosis or understand conditions, he memorized the whole textbook to get through medical school and only chose the profession for salary. If youre going to spend $$$ in this countrys awful healthcare system at least do yourself a favor and find someone half decent.

Most (if not all) of these reviews of Dr. Shah are not actual patients or even people whove ever known or met him. I can say with all certainty that he is a brilliant, compassionate, and extremely ethical physician.

He should have lost his medical license. Trust and respect are critical when it comes to doctor patient relationship. If you cannot understand that, then become a pathologist. Shame of Dr. Shah!

This guy is the worst. Combine all of the bad experiences you may have had at other docotrs offices and you will get it all here. I have seen Dr. Shah more than one time and just spews the same simple medical knowledge everyone already knows. He acts like you are lucky to be talking to him and frankly I think he is a jerk. I will never go back to him and couldnt recommend you find someone else more. Hearing that his staff had to pay $500,000 for unethical medical practices and patient treatment doesnt surprise me at all. The medical board needs to look at this quack more in-depth so he doesnt sully the name of ethical doctors.
