Been coming to this club for a while because their deli team actually knows how to use the slicers. Falls Church (closest to me) has had 2 people who know how to slice correctly. Unfortunately, they are rarely on when I shop. The guy who is usually there manages to botch it somehow every time.My deli joy is overshadowed by BJs frustrating problem with their inventory system. For some time now, things it says are available in-club arent. Their team sees the same thing, get flak from annoyed customers who get confirmation of their pickup orders only to arrive and be told something wasnt there.Please, get it together.

Good place to go if you a member(or family is)get a lot good deals at cheaper cost items are mostly bulk by for most items

I don’t know what happened to the Fairlakes Bj’s, the service is horrible. I wish there was another one near me. All the employees in this stores act like there being force to work here. You literally have to wait to get help in any department. I tried calling the headquarters and left a long message and no response what’s so ever. Whoever is out there listening, either CLOSE this store down or replace all your employees. I finally drove to falls church Bj’s that took me 40 minutes, but it was worth it. Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CLOSED THIS FAIRLAKES BJ’s, and fire everyone in it. Don’t mess up other stores by moving them over. IT’s time to do some clean up. Start at this store.

Got conned into an AT&T switch at the warehouse. Got lied to and additional charges added and not the services offered. BAIT and SWITCH. Warehouse contacted and said oh they are a third party and we are not responsible. What a crock. They are there working as an agent of the company and ripping off their customers.

I have been a BJ’s customer for decades and have always been happy with their service, but I’d like to recognize today’s service especially. I am the only member in my family, and my husband and I had gone out on a shopping spree. After placing all of our items on the belt, I noticed that my wallet, along with my membership card, were missing. We were directed to customer service, where a very kind employee spent time helping me look up my membership, and proceeded to let my husband and I check out. My wallet was also later found and returned by very generous members. Considering that this all happened on my birthday, it overall was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

Joined March 22 and bought a bluetooth speaker on March 24 for 100 dollars. I saw yesterday it was on sale for 74 and according to online you can get a price adjustment if bought within 30 days. Called yesterday to find out if could get adjustment without receipt for they could use my number and get the receipt. Went to store and was told it has to be done within 7 days and the lady at customer service was rude and talked to associates before she had to ask manager. I showed her the policy under their site on Google stating 30 days and was told anyone could write anything on Google. Store is understaffed and self check out is a joke for always long line and wait forever for service. Going back and canceling membership tomorrow and will never go there again and just stay with Costco for much better customer service. I would give this place minus 10 if I could.

I hardly write reviews but i had to after the service i got from a worker named Shakeya. These days its hard to find anyone who hussles and cares about their job like Shakeya. I drove 30 minutes to buy rubber mulch because it showed they had 50 in stock. When i got there it wasnt on the floor and i had to wait an hour until someone could bring it down from the top shelf since loaders dont come in until later. Shakeya assured me as soon as they get in, they will pull it first thing and she sure did. She is fantastic.

10 stars for Gregory on the Member helpline who was a Rock Star to walk me through a password reset, and an order to be shipped. Gregory was The. Best. in working through a straightforward order that became much more complicated than it needed to be. Gregory patiently helped make it happen.0 stars for the BJs automated telephone system that gives unhelpful options, then repeatedly looped me through credit card information submission over & over at payment, the most frustrating, exasperating, crazy-making experience.Awful. Good thing you have a Gregory who saved the day!

Prefer this BJs location to ANY Costco location I’ve been to in the area. Self check out if you only have a few items, feels less chaotic than Costco inside AND in the parking lot.Well priced bulk organic + gluten free selection!! However at times poorly stocked on other items & not tidy.

As usual, my husband and I come to this store quite often. Every time before we go on our vacation we come to the Deli department to buy plenty of cheeses and meats. People in this BJs Deli are always very polite and friendly, especially MAGDA! She is best of best!But a few weeks ago we had the worst visit to this store in our life. What a rude and grumpy person! Very bad! I couldnt believe my eyes that it was possible to encounter such a nasty employees behavior at BJs in Fairfax!I even asked that person to tell me her name. She was shaking with anger and hatred but she wrote me her name - Roxanne. Each letter from her writing was at least 2 inches high. She even did not try to hide her wrath!Of course we left that store immediately and we went to Harris Teeter at 3905 Fair Ridge Drive. At least their employees are smiling and do not want to eat the customers alive! This is that piece of paper she wrote on...

Normally i love BJs, but when i opened a package of black olives i bought there, there was a hair in them. I wrote to the manufacturer and nothing. Im quite disturbed at the lack of quality control.Updated to reduce rating to 1 star. I would give negative 5 if i could. The customer service is awful, the app is completely broken, and they constantly try to sell expired dairy products.

There is opportunity to improve their curbside pickup service. It shouldn’t take 30-40 minutes to bring my scheduled order to my vehicle. They need to hire more people.

Having had a Costco, Sams club and Bjs membership before, BJs is by far the worst of the three. This store has a much more limited selection, no food court, and poor customer service, and this is for the same membership price. The only benefit that you would have going to BJs is parking, since the lot is always half empty.

BJs is improperly using COVID as an excuse not to accept returns on diapers that we incorrectly purchased for our grandson. Well be cancelling it our membership today.

Its a hassle cancelling their membership, since we moved away from BJs store we never needed their membership anymore unfortunately as we had by default enrolled in auto renewal it got renewed without our intervention and forgot to cancel our membership until a week before its expiry. Its been over a month since the membership been requested to be cancelled, still following up for the refund of membership fee. We paid $55 for renewal while they sell their membership for just $25 over social media promotions. The worst part is we got charged twice ($55+$55) when it auto renewed and had to dispute one of the transaction to get the money back. If you dont need their membership cancel it right away

Its amazing whole sale place to buy all sort of products are available.its better than costco.wide range of products.every single category they have different brands.so it is easy.to choose from.price is also reasonable.

Helpful and quick in-store experience. The gas station was well below expectation of everyone attempting to buy gas; I watched all the pumps while I was in line for 15 minutes; it appears the gas flow was very low and took exceptionally long to fill a car tank; I was fortunately in a position that allowed me to exit that area - without having the opportunity to buy gas.

Nice location and it had the items I came for... for the most part. BJs has been lacking in certain products recently, all locations.

Went this morning and they were not supervising the limited items. For instants the Lysol wipes. One women had more then allotted and would not share and a man also doing the same. We came at 9am sharp and missed wipes by literally seconds because people taking more than allowed.

They sold me hand sanitize which is on FDA black list. Instead of giving me refund on unopened item, I need to contact manufacture directly. Are they kidding me? Why can I return and refund if it was regular item? Also store supervisor was so rude and she would not care if I return this store again. They should be shame on quality check of their items being sold and should take care this issue by themselves.

Her name is Magda and she’s my number one BJ’s representative person to me because her kindness and friendship made me to go to see her every time I am at BJ’s shopping. Long time customer. I was sold on their higher priced membership and told I could cancel at any time within the membership year. Since I dont spend enough to justify it I wanted to cancel. Only then was I told since Im on my husbands membership account he would have to come in to make any changes. For reasons that most can sympathize Im the primary shopper and it would be extremely inconvenient for him to come in. Perhaps make your policies more transparent up front?

If youre into associates being rude to you and saying rude things to members and the managers allowing it, this is the place for you.This BJs location is terrible. Each time I go, I have a terrible experience. I am not sure why someone works in customer service and is shocked that they have to actually assist a customer...I have tried to cancel my membership and they cannot even do that.

Over priced. Not competitive with Costco or Sams. Closes too early. BJ’s...um no. Store layout is decent, parking is never available up front. You have to drive a bit to find it in the plaza, kind of annoying not to have it in the entrance. Customer service is somewhat ok. They don’t like to honor online deals from competitors. Hostile to groupon memberships.

Staff is horrible. Not even a Hello , thank you, have a nice day. It seems when I was checking out the staff had better things to do and to seem bothered by my presence. Unfriendly as it gets.

BJs taxes the amount before the discounts, not the actual sales price. When you buy a $1,000 TV at a discounted price of $700, BJs is charging you sales tax on $1,000. This is a deceitful and shady business practice that needs more attention. If you see identical sales prices from BJs and any other business, choose the other business because their sale will ultimately end up cheaper.

You dont pay a membership fee to add another app on your phone or be forced to register to get coupons, seriously. As a paid member It should be MY CHOICE if I want your app on my phone or register on your website. Bring back the coupon books. COVID19 has allowed many corporations to use it as an excuse, at the same they are saving money on printing the books and distribution. I WISH I COULD ISSUE A ZERO STAR-COSTCO will always rule, they respect the members and membership.

This location has lots of verities for each item. I am a member of BJs since 2012 and I love it more than Costco or Sams club because they accept manufacturers coupons plus their own coupon book has many more coupons. Also gas is cheap compare to Costco and Sams club and sometimes they offer $0.05 off/gallon if you make purchase in the club.

Favorite place for the bulk purchase of lifes necessities. Costco hangs in there, offering stiff competition. Costco has the best butter, and nuts. BJs is faster.

I had a good experience at this wholesale club. Using coupons helped me get much for my buck. And, oh! Their gas station saved my life. Refilled the tank at the best price in the area. Love it.

This is one of the better BJs Ive been to. They have plenty of self checkout kiosks which helps getting out much faster. Good selection of produce and meats. They also have a gas station which can often times be crowded but has the cheapest gas around.

The store is fine, you can always find a good deal in store. The best part is the gas! Always 10 - 50 cents cheaper than any gas stations in a 10 mile radius. The membership price is more than worth what youll save on gas.

Propane refills here are a good value. Great hours of operation. MasterCard, Amex, Discover accepted as well as Visa. Some warehouse sized items are intended for families instead of for Paul Bunyan. Store branded credit card has an easy to understand reward system and the reward is available whenever the threshold is met. No need to wait a year. 4 stars given as there is room for improvement, for example, a competitor has a much better system on coupon books and redemption.

Found all the things we came for. They take manufacturers coupons. They are handicap accessible. The bathrooms are clean. Cant really ask for a whole lot more from a big box store.

Great place to shop less crowded than Costco. The best gas price in town

Its a wholesale club - like a grocery store but everything is sold in bulk. They also have vegetables and fruits...everything is sold in big quantitites. Theres a deli and meat counter. They also have clothes, toys, electronics, stationery. There is a gas station with this BJs location which is a plus. Also theres a tire and auto center at this location.

I prefer BJs over Costco any day. The selection may be a little better at Costco, but the quality is just as good. Additionally, BJs is never as crowded as Costco.

This place is very understaffed. Lines to check out often 3+ deep. Not enough checkers. Lines at deli counter are the norm. Unpleasantly crowded at key business times. Once a checker refused to put my purchases in the bag I had brought as she rang each item up because she wasnt allowed to! Had to call the manager.UPDATE: DECEMBER, 2018: The store has reduced checkout staff even more and increased the number of self - checkout lanes. With customers buying massive amounts, the checkout process has gotten even worse.

Usually well stocked and much easier to checkout than Costco. Less crowded. Good gas prices. Its convenient to have Walmart next door, for things that you cant find at bjs. And the best advantage - open till 10 on weekdays and Saturdays. Sundays, it closes at 8.

They have someone to spray the cart off AFTER you get it....seems pretty pointless at that point. Sanitation needs to happen before the next person uses it

Dont even bother trying to contact the store or the tire center by telephone, they NEVER answer. I had to call the main BJs customer care number to get them to reach out to this location and have them call me for an appointment for tire install. Even then, the employee who called me back was beyond rude and unhelpful.

I tried to cancel my membership about 2 or 3 weeks before its expiration date (i tried to buy something and the self checkout told us that our membership almost expired and i cancel it that day). but they already charge my creditcard to auto renewal before the membership expired date and when i realize it few months later, they said it was expired already and i have no proof that it wasnt expired before.Its very hard to call the bjs tire to make appointment. And even you come on time to the appointment, they makes you wait pretty long time and never called when finished as promised. But when you are just less than 5 minutes late, they ask you to wait for 1 and half hour as walk in customer and keep saying its our fault to be that late.Even with coupon the price per lb or per item still more expensive than many other store that is not wholesale.Many of the staff arent nice too. They are so arrogant even yell at us if we try to return something more expensive than other store on the same day we bought the item.

Not too crowded, yet have good varieties of products. Their gas prices are as competitive as Costco, and usually the lines are much shorter.

Had a horrible experience when went to collect refund for Wellsley Farm Organic Mixed Vegetables and Organic Peas recall initiated by them. The Customer Service asked for the receipt. I informed them that I had discarded it & wondered aloud who keeps grocery receipts after 3 weeks. I was informed by the clerk that she personally never throws away any receipt for years. Thanks for teaching your customer about receipts!The recall notice says that if receipt is not available, they will look it up & issue a refund. To look up they have a printout running into several pages with names of customers in random order. I flipped through the sheets & located my name but it showed only one item instead of the two recalled items purchased . I was refused refund for one item. I asked for the Store Manager, Rhonda. She was busy but as a favor appeared after 5 minutes and the attitude that was shown left me shocked. I informed her that I had got the 2 bags of produce in the car but had not carried them in since the recall instructions specifically say that the packages are not to be returned to the store. Understandably so, its a matter of a listeria bacterium recall. I told her that I could get the bags for her to see. I was surprised at her reaction; she asked me to get the bags in! Rhondas attitude was one of utter disdain and very condescending. Was hurt to see her behavior, insinuating that I was trying to cheat BJs out of $10!! Instead of looking up their database, the burden of proving that I indeed had purchased the recalled item was put on me.By the time I came back with the produce she was on her way back to her office, since I sure was such a waste of time for her. I called out to her & was informed that the clerk had been informed to give me my refund! Thank you for giving me my big bucks back.Perhaps the staff at this location needs corporate training to be reminded that we customers are the reason for their presence at the store.

Store is not safe. People steal my coupon book when I talked to the sale associate. Coupon can be used once not like Costco and coupon booklets are not available. The prices are same as Costco and coupon priceless compared with Costco unless we could use manufacturer coupons

** update.. district store manager did contact me to resolve my issues.I go to BJs because the location is close. I bought a mattress set. I rented a uhaul to pick it up. When I got home the box spring was complete broken and the fabric backing was removed when I took it out of the plastic. I called them as soon as possible. They said there was nothing they can do. So I asked to speak with a manager. She said I could bring it back but I must wrap it in plastic and I have to bring it back. Do not buy big items here. They will give you the run around. I wasted money renting a truck to pick up and bring defective their merchandise. It was a very bad experience

Had 70% of the items we came for this evening. Although this is a nicely layout warehouse it did not carry items that other branches carry.

A pretty good bjs. Overall the store is clean. At times the produce can look a little old. The stock things the Costco and Sams club dont. Their Berkley Jenkins brand is usually good. This store has gas and if you use a bjs card its cheaper than costco

The store is very well stocked with a variety of water not available at other BJs in the northern VA area.

We got a coupon for 3 month membership for free and the only stipulation was its invalid in Roanoke Virginia and they refused to honor it. First time customer last time going there

Considering how the BJ staff members saved me from my fate, I believe BJs customer service is stupendous!The special senior bus that brought us to the shopping center neglected to put my purchases on the bus which is the standard practice.My basketful of groceries was left on the sidewalk.A diligent employee brought the basket back into the store. When I called to ask whether they had seen the basket, they made sure I could list many items and then put the basket in a safe place until I could locate a volunteer to drive me from Herndon, VA to BJs.I presented my receipt and they immediately located the basketful of groceries in tact. Every item was still in the basket.The store Manager, Durelle, and two other particular employees, Toni and Marshra were especially diligent when they held my groceries until I could locate a volunteer to drive me there.Thank you all. . . The thought that someone could have taken the groceries home was foremost on my mind. So when I encountered such kindness at BJs, I felt compelled to broadcast this tremendous series events.Everyone should shop at BJs store in Fairfax, VA!Truly, sooo grateful. . .

Those who try to compare to Costco are missing the boat, I think. IMO, BJs is going after a different type of customer, one who wants more optionality in a given product class. Their in-house Wellsley and Benson brand is good, especially on foodstuffs. Loses a star for the cumbersome (painful) couponing requirement/experience. .

Tire center should have told me right away that there were no openings for service. I spent 45 minutes waiting with their slow customer service before that critical detail came up. Only one car in 5 bays? They couldnt log into their computer and system showed they didnt have tires that other guy said were in stock.
