Our mom has been a resident here at Sunrise View for over ten years. The caring, efficient staff is always there for Mom and immediately updates us on any concerns or changes in her well-being.My brother and I have lunch with Mom every week and are always treated like family while we are there. The food is always good...a salad bar with a wide variety, from fresh greens to jello and fruit, and always two choices for lunch entrees with some of the best homemade soups ever!Sunrise View Villa is an excellent choice for your loved ones.

Oh my gosh is this place a nightmare.Dont take my word for it - check their Medicare scores to tell if I am telling the truth! I can only guess many of the positive reviews by the way are employees or owner/s - - in fact, the first 3 are from the same time frame and in the current review responses posted (which I suspect they may now edit), the owner ADMITS that at least one 5 star review was from a current or former employee. Another was from someone who admits their father isnt even a current or former resident but that Sunrise simply took their lost father in - something all but required by law - until they could get there. And a third was from someone who never even visited there; they just donated some plants to them and Sunrise was willing to pick them up - giving them a warm fuzzy but no insight into what its like to stay at the place whatsoever.I did stay here, about 3 1/2 or 4 weeks in fact. At one point I could have died unattended (see below.)This place was truly awful. Scary awful. Questionable safety is an understatement. Poor management / money-grubbing ownership: a near certainty.A very good friend of my daughter worked at another facility in town and said they have a number of this places former employees and they have some awful stories. But again, dont take my word for it on a decision this critical; check their Medicare scorecard! - On this or ANY place you are considering, do NOT just go on potentially slanted online reviews.I sure wish I had!!!My own personal experience:I had to stay here after a surgery- as a non-elderly, middle age male. It was horrifying. In my first 2 weeks alone, I:- was unable to get a shower for 9 days.- was left in my own feces 2 days.- had broken glass from a vase on my floor for 3 days despite 2 half-hearted attempts by staff to clean it up... and then cut my feet two or 3 times, having to pull out glass slivers.- then when I complained about the glass again, staff said I was unreasonable and was being too picky!- had my oxygen supply tube cut off in the raise / lower mechanism of the bed; called the nurse alert button and as most often happened, the assistant came (in almost a half hour as was usually the case, especially on the latter shift), who then shut the alert off but forgot to tell the nurse, leaving me without adequate oxygen for over 2 hours until I finally made an emergency call to my wife who raced there and found me turning colors! - even then, apparently as they didnt want to get in trouble for it, they said we had to let them try to restore my O2 levels first because if they didnt authorize my leaving they said insurance supposedly wouldntt pay for my ambulance and hospital stay! Fear mongering to avoid responsibility.- apparently 3 people died there in the 3 1/2 or 4 weeks I was there - and this is not a big place!- elderly people were left screaming almost every night, frequently for hours, at the top of their lungs. Why are they so short staffed at night? Well one reason might be that at least 1 employee that parked next to my room would leave for either 2 or 4 hours like clockwork every night, then return just a few minutes before the next shift, most nights - maybe 4 or 5 nights per week. I reported that too to the supervisor and apparently nothing was done as the person kept doing itYes, there are 2 people in middle management here (the office supervisor and the nursing lead/manager) who were gems. But the rest of this place is horrifyingly bad. There are better places by far, even in the same area. I would strongly encourage you not to put your loved ones here!I had to stay here after a hospitalization

Although my father does not reside at this facility, the caring professionals who took him in one evening when he showed up at their doorstep lost was beyond a Godsend. If were not for their intuitive eye for the needs that come as an individual begins the difficult, and often times resistive, transition to memory care is what separates the true care-givers from the rest. They made my father feel safe and centered until they found me to come gather him. Thanks to especially Rhonda and the evening staff for their kind efforts.

Had to get rid of some house plants while moving but didnt want to just toss them. Called these guys and they were more than happy to hand them out to residents. Wonderful!
