After my old dentist quit accepting my employers dental insurance, my wife and I were in need of a new dentist. Everything happens for a reason, and because of this we were able to find Dr. Dunn and her staff. This crew is awesome and they take great care of me and my wife.

Do not go here, I have a fear of dentists as it stands and she only reemphasized my worst fears. My cleaning was a painful massacre, and I have regular cleanings. They do not have up to date equipment on site, panoramic x-ray only available on select dates so you need to make numerous appointments, where other offices only need one. When I went to get work done she injected Novocaine directly into my vein which caused, tachycardia I became diaphoretic and felt as though I was going to faint. When I expressed this she brushed it off and told me it was a normal reaction and than left me alone in the room. Thankfully I am a young healthy with no preexisting heart conditions because it is not normal if you inject it into my nerve. I feel it is always best to be truthful with your clients, rather than try to cover up a mistake. Than she began the work and I felt every minute of it, with tears coming down my cheek, I tried to be brave but it was awful, and she said it was normal because she was so close to the nerve. Also untrue, according to another dentist she could have injected my tooth directly at this point which would have helped. Than she placed a temporary filling in case I needed additional work done in 3 months, which is also unnecessary according to another dentist. She also advised the secretary to charge me in advance for the rest of the work in case the insurance did not cover it. Why bother having insurance? I spent the next 15 minutes arguing with her that 40+55 was 95 not 129, while she kept repeating it is 45 for the pulp cap and 50 for your portion so that is 129....while my mouth was swollen and I was in pain....the whole thing was awful, I refuse to go back, and I wish someone would have warned me

This was the worst experience Ive had at a dentist. First, Ive never been to a dentist that took at least 20 (not an exaggeration) x-rays at one time. It was ridiculous. Second, after my cleaning, which was the roughest Ive ever had (I get cleanings pretty regularly too. Its not something that happens once every 5 years or anything like that), Mrs. Dunn asks rudely, Have you ever been told you clinch or grind your teeth? Im in my mid-20s, yes, of course Ive been told that by now. I respond, Yes, Ive been told I grind my teeth in my sleep. Her response, I thought so because you have really flat teeth! Uh, thanks? Ever heard of bedside manner? I already dislike going to the dentist very much, and you think that would make it any better? Lastly, she told me at the end that I had two cavities. She said she had time to fill one today, but I would have to come back to get the other one done. (How convenient that she had time to fill one, since my husband told her we were about to move back to Texas...just making sure she gets a little more money from us before were gone.) Well, the rest of my interactions mentioned above had made me feel so uneasy, that I told her, I havent had a cavity in years, so Im going to get a 2nd opinion. She said, Ok, well you have holes. I can show you the holes in your teeth with a camera. I have very big grooves in my teeth, she couldve showed me that, and I would not have known the difference!Dunn does not do honest or pleasant work. My mouth usually hurts for a few hours after the dentist...my mouth hurt for a week after visiting her!Well, fast forward a year. Im in Texas going to the dentist Ive seen since I was a child. He tells me I dont have any cavities, and all he sees is the big grooves hes seen in my teeth for years.

This dentist sees dollar signs when she looks in your mouth. They would not clean my teeth stating I needed my whole mouth scaled after insurance pre approval.I called my old out of network dentist as soon as I left her office and told them what happened. Had an appointment the next day with her and she told me there was nothing that would warrant my whole mouth scaled. So Im sticking with the out of network dentist whom I have been to for 3 years and trust.I go to the dentist regularly , floss, brush. After this incident I called the insurance company and informed them of my experience. Most people dont get a second opinion with dentistry. Im glad I did. The next week I was relating my experience at work and One of my co workers said that is why she and her husband haven t been back to Dr. Dunn because they suspect she does prodedures that may not be warranted
