I’ve never had a bad experience with their customer reps. I’ve had three bills sent to collections due to an error with the coverage date but it was fixed and they dealt with the collects agencies for me. Always been friendly and helpful.

This is a terrible company, perhaps even worse than Time Warner, which is saying a lot. The bought hospitals that are so bad they have to force you to go to them by making you have to choose their providers. Spin it however you want, this is wrong. Maybe if you invested in improving the people who work for you instead of building new buildings, people would actually willingly use your services. Sometimes doing the right thing can put your company in a better light than the constant greed and childish arguments with UPMC that define you now.

You guys were rated best insurance two years ago. What happened? You guys steal from everyone that doesnt have state insurance and none of your network is even in the area. How companies get away with selling your insurance is beyond me. I think its time to cancel and do private insurance. Your company is the worst.

New customer and so far this insurance which isnt cheap by any means has been terrible to deal with. Wait times, employees seem unresponsive and unwilling to resolve issues. Things that other insurance companies can accomplish the same day or at most in one day Highmark seems to take a week, a week and a half. First impressions, they only care about their money and damn everything, and everyone else.

After 23 years with this company, They provided insurance in Pennsylvania and Florida......Im a Snowbird.... it was perfect....and this year, I call call to confirm all the details and they inform me (without any notice...December 15th) that they will not cover routine doctor visits in Florida anymore (Whats the difference if Im in Pa of Fl, Highmark still has to pay)......This is a great way to treat an effin 23 year customer....They are down to 6 plans in Pa anyways......GOOD LUCK EVERYONE IN PA NEXT YEAR!! Corporate Greed at its finest........

Its quite simple - their customer service has next to no follow-through, their systems are out-dated and out of sync with each other, and they have been randomly stating to doctor offices and pharmacies that my insurance was cancelled... but when I talk with support on the phone, they say thats a mistake on their end and that it will be corrected. However, its been 6 months, and these issues continually happen. Incredibly time-consuming and frustrating, because sometimes Ive had to pay out-of-pocket up front and then be reimbursed after talking with Highmark support. Stay away from them unless you have no other option. Keep careful watch on the amount they bill you for - their system messes up and can overstate how much you owe (which their customer service admits to).

DO NOT TRUST these people. They have a core practice of telling you, YOu have zero copayment than 3 months later billing you. I have turned them into the US A.G. twice, and twice the Attorney General contacted them, and twice the removed the 800 dollar bogus bill. DO NOT TRUST Them. They are not a good company, at one time maybe. but they are predators now.
