This was my first time visiting the salon for a cut and I couldnt have been happier with it. Since I am new to the area, I was nervous to try a new place, but was thrilled with my decision. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere of the salon is very pleasant and relaxing as well. I cant wait to return. Highly recommend!

Tiffany did a great job with my mom. Her hair was beautiful. Friendly staff made me feel welcome as well. All around a great experience.

I was very extremly happy with my hair what I thought was impossible they made possible! The workers there were very nice and they made me feel very comfortable & welcoming by offering homemade cookies and coffee! Ive been looking for a good hair salon for a while and sassafras salon is just right for me ! Definitely recommend!!

I had just moved to Erie back in September and had been going to the same hairdresser for the last 7 years back at home so I was very hesitant about where to go for a cut. Right from the beginning, my experience at Sassafras was more than great. I had MaryLyn as my stylist and she did not disappoint by far. Very friendly and constantly asking me how I felt about this or that. She listened to everything I asked for (Im pretty particular when it comes to my hair) and even made suggestions. I was more than pleased with how my hair came out. Going back for my second haircut. Such a professional and friendly atmosphere.

I had the BEST experience at, Sassafras Street Hair Company & Spa! Ive had a lot of trouble finding a stylist that could do exactly what I asked for, but, Hillary, was able to do that and more!Ready for a drastic change, I scheduled a cut & color with, and I could not be happier with the results. Not only did she do a great job on my hair but she told me a lot of useful information about the products she used on my hair, why she choose them, and they worked great! I would recommend this place to anyone, and especially Hillary!!!

MaryLyn has been cutting my hair for almost 3 years now. She has been with Sassafras Street Hair Company for the past year or more and my entire experience there has been amazing! They are very flexible with scheduling and it is always a pleasant experience. MaryLyn is very talented! Once I had her dye my whole head of hair to match my roots (after dying it for years) and she matched it PERFECTLY! I havent had to dye it since.I highly recommend Sassafras Street Hair Company & Day Spa :)

I would never recommend anybody to go to the hacks on peach street!!! My wife went in to get her hair trimmed and colored, and the stylist Marylyn Lessnau, took over a foot of her hair off. When my wife talked to Marilyn she explained to her that she only wanted 2 or 3 inches taken off, and colored. I dont know how the stylist ended up taking 12 inches off, instead of 2 to 3 inches... their shouldnt of been any miscommunication when it comes to that. When my wife noticed how much was cut off, she started to cry, saying you cut half of my hair off. In response Marilyn said to my wife I dont know what you want me to do, we dont do extensions here, with an attitude. My wife has been growing her hair for many years to get it to the length she had it, and with four snips of her scissors she hacked half of it off. After watching my wife cry herself to sleep that night, I decided to call the owner myself the next morning. I got the owner on the phone, only to find out that she was in the salon during this situation. Upon finding this out, my anger rose to an even higher level. How do you own a business and have a situation like this occur, and never once get involved? The owner stated she heard the whole situation, until I quoted some of the stylist statements, and then she said she didnt hear those parts. At no point did the stylist or owner show any remorse for hacking her hair off.Charles T.

I have been going to Therese the owner of Sassafras Street Hair company...When my husband passed away she opened her shop to cut my sons hair. She is the best..and best colorist around..I know because I have been going to her for 15 years!

I called three times Friday afternooon (6/9) to schedule a hair appointment. No one answered any of the three times. I ended up leaving a message and didnt receive a call back until today, Monday (6/12). This is terrible business and Ive already scheduled elsewhere.
