Okay, soo, at first I loved this place. Employees were cool. Everything was great. Heres the thing, during the year of waiting to get my cornea transplant, the lady doctor that was helping me began to slip as a doctor in my eyes. Okay, in not saying she is a bad doctor by any means. What Im saying is that it got EXTREMELY frustrating for both my mom and I that every time I had an appointment, it felt like I was a brand new patient all over again.. Getting asked questions that clearly should be in my file. In my opinion, at least skim over the notes before starting the appointment, you know? I guess my only complaint is the staff needs to brief themselves before they go into ANY appointment. Then at the very least, they would know the basics of that patient. I know for me, it made me start to question my trust in this facility. I really dont want that to happen.. My cornea transplant went REALLY well by the way. I guess my advice to the staff there is make your patients feel as if they were your ONLY patient. Read up on them a little bit before the appointment begins. We all know that you guys know probably the day before, who is coming in and who isnt for the following day. I know it would help me out a lot. Oh, they do have handicap everything. They have public restrooms. You cant get fitted for contracts here, unfortunately.. Overall, yes, Im going to continue to keep going to this facility. Unless you need a transplant or something along those lines, I probably wouldnt recommend this facility. They are in the second floor. There is an elevator for those who dont want to take the stairs. And they have a balcony in their waiting room.

Dr Richheimer did my cataract surgery (both eyes) about 5 weeks ago. I had put off this surgery for almost 10 years because I have extreme nearsightedness & myopic degeneration, which increases the risk of retinal detachment following cataract surgery. I was afraid of going blind, but my vision eventually got so bad that I felt I had no choice but to go through with the surgery. Dr Richheimer kept telling me that I would see great after the surgery, but I didnt believe him. I was extremely nervous before the first surgery. After both surgeries my vision was very clouded for a couple of days, but when it cleared I had gone from 20/200 to 20/50 in my left eye. My right eye turned out even better, going from 20/125 to 20/30. Optometric testing showed that the surgery had given me the best possible vision I was capable of achieving, and that contacts would not be able to improve it any further. So now I dont have to wear any corrective lenses and I am very happy with the result. I had been told by other cataract surgeons that I would still have to wear contacts and that my vision would not improve more than 20/100, so I am very glad that I found Dr Richheimer because I truly believe he gave me a better result than I would have gotten elsewhere, and so far, no retinal detachment.

I am eagerly looking forward to my cataract surgery with Dr Richheimer next month. All the information I need to be fully prepared for this surgery has been provided to me in a clear and concise manner.

I had glaucoma surgeries on both eyes performed by Dr. Vest. Everything was great and successful from scheduling through rehab. I am happy to be safe now with my vision. Thank you, Dr. Vest and staff.

I saw Dr. Richheimer for Refractive Lens Exchange surgery. My vision has been poor since I was a child and, as I have been told, I have oddly shaped eyeballs. I was really nervous about the whole process - the devil you know versus taking a risk at better vision. The entire process was amazing. Dr. Richheimer took the time to meet with me, do a thorough evaluation and answer all of my questions. He let me know that I could reach out to him at any time if I had any additional questions or concerns. The rest of the staff was also very helpful and pleasant. The visual experience during the surgery was definitely a little weird, but I love my new eyeballs and am thrilled at the outcome.

Dr. Richheimer is really the best. Everyone says that about their doctor, I know, but he really is. The staff explained everything to me beforehand. No surprises on the bill. The best thing about it is…oh yeah…I CAN SEE NOW! Don’t put off cataract surgery any longer. It’s beyond worth it!!!

Dr. Vest and all the staff at Mile High Eye Institute are extremely well versed in patient satisfaction. Ive had no problems since my catarac and gloucoma surgery. Appointments were easy to make and I expereienced no wait time issues. I would recommend Mile High Eye Institute for all your eye care needs.

Dr. Richheimer did cataract surgery on both my eyes spring of 2021. The first eye seemed to go well but it appears the Toric lens for astigmatism upgrade may not have been positioned exactly right so my distance vision it that eye isnt quite as good it was the before with eye glasses.With the second eye, all of the old lens wasnt removed first go, as I understand it. At he 24 hour follow-up the morning after the surgery was in the 40s in stead of the healthy 8 to 12 range like it should be. A second surgery, in the doctors office, was performed the next day after the original surgery. That eye seems fine now.That said, the overall experience was very good, professional, efficient, well done. AND the main reason for my getting the cataract surgeries in the first place was serious night driving difficulties. The results for that part borders on miraculous. My night driving vision is so vastly improved I can hardly believe it.So all in all, not sure Id recommend Dr Richheimers practice but I wont be overly concerned about it either. I would skip the upgrade if I had it to do over. And Id definitely get the surgery.Kind of a mixed bag, no?

Most of the doctors are pretty good, and Dr. Richheimer is very responsive and knowledgeable. The front desk however is rude and very abrasive. They dont treat you with respect or if you are the customer. I own and operate my own small business for +20 years. If we treated customers like MHEI we wouldnt have any left .

Six years ago Dr. Richheimer did my cataract surgery. Recently I noticed that my eyesight had deteriorated. After visiting my optometrist, I was told that I needed the YAG procedure. Having recently moved to New Jersey, I felt that I wanted Dr. Richheimer to perform the procedure since I had the upmost confidence in him. I flew out to Colorado one week ago and had the procedure done, which only took about 15 minutes. I was absolutely floored by the results. I could immediately see crystal clear. I would absolutely recommend Mile High Eye Institute for any eye surgeries even if you have to travel 2500 miles. The staff was wonderful and very attentive to me on my visit.

I have worked closely with Dr. Richheimer on my cataract condition and finally had both eyes done. He is a kind, responsive and good listener and excellent surgeon. His pre-op and post-op care were exemplary. There is a great working relationship evident in the office of Mile High Eye Institute and confident and comforting services provided by his surgical staff during the procedures. My husband had Lasik done here several years ago and had really great results. So when I decided I was done with contacts and glasses my doc referred me back here. I was so pleased with how caring they are, they run a very clean well organized office. They suggested I try out a monovision and I did and Im glad I listened to them. Very little discomfort during the super quick procedure. I was able to see perfectly the next morning for my early follow up. Highly suggest!

Dr.Vest and his staff are absolutely amazing. For anyone who is looking for a glaucoma specialist Dr.Vest is your guy! Great bedside manners. I was referred to him for a tube shunt surgery. He acted fast from day one. Within a week I had my surgery and was on the road to recovery. Really can’t say enough about them!

Im 51 and my left eye was going blind from a cataract. Like anyone I was a little nervous about eyeball surgery because I had 20/20 vision my entire life. Dr. Richheimer replaced my left crystalline lens with a Symphony Multi focal lens. In the evening after my surgery I took off the patch and my vision was all messed up with halos and tons of other visual artifacts because my pupil was still dilated. Twenty four hours later after my pupil went back to normal I had 20/20 vision with zero artifacts. Its truly a miracle and I couldnt be happier with the results!!!The surgery took about 10 minutes. I opted to do it without anesthesia and I would recommend that to others because it was completely painless. They immobilize your entire eye with a big hunk of tape which is a pretty ingenious method and that instilled confidence in me during the surgery. I paid extra for the multi-focal lens and it was probably the best investment Ive ever made. If you need this surgery you can take comfort that the Mile High Eye Institute, Dr. Richheimer and his staff are world class experts with mad eyeball surgery skills!

NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND HONEST. I was informed I could get an ICL surgery for later this year and as long as I scheduled by the end of the month, I would receive a special discounted price. Once I was scheduled for the surgery,I was informed that I no longer qualified for the promotion even though the doctor and two different techs told me that there would be no problem. Instead of honoring their word, they wanted to charge me the full price which was $1000 difference. If you cannot honor your word, I do not trust you or your service.

Huge kudos to Mile High Eye Institute! I just had cataract surgery on both eyes. From the very 1st visit, I could not have been happier with the staff and the doctors. They were all friendly and caring and so interested that I had all the information I needed and encouraged me to call any time if I had questions. As an optometrist myself, I have been waiting for the right time to get my LASIK procedure done and wanted to make sure I was making the right choice. Yesterday was my surgery day and Dr. Richheimer, Dr. Graber, and the entire staff made me feel so comfortable and confident through the whole process. They let me choose the playlist during my procedure and it was all finished in about 2 songs. I have had several surgeries in my life but none have brought me the joy that these two surgeries did. I have had bad vision all my life and have felt that without glasses or contacts I could not function at a decent level. My vision has significantly improved since the cataract surgery and it still leaves me marveling each day that I can see so much detail without the help of contacts or glasses. They make sure you are completely informed about the types of procedures available, and what the recovery is like for each procedure, before you make a decision, or schedule the procedure. The procedure itself was quick, and they follow up with you frequently, to make sure you are healing correctly. After decades of poor vision, I now have 20/16 vision, without contacts or glasses!

I had cataract surgery with a multifocal IOL inserted. The IOL, Symfony, caused large halos and concentric circles at night. Dr. Richheimer exchanged it for a monofocal toric IOL. The results, after only 3 days are excellent!

I had cataracts in both eyes and I didnt realize how much my vision was impaired until after the surgery. WOW what a difference! I was really pleased with my care. Im several years out from my surgeries now and my most recent eye exam gave me a great report that everything is still just fine with no complications. They give me great care checking me out for Diabetic Retinopathy and other complications that come with age. Im totally pleased with the care I receive here from their friendly, professional and competent staff. Good people.

I had an amazingly wonderful experience with Mile High Eye Institute! Because cataracts develop gradually, I had no idea how much of my sight had been muted. After Dr. Richheimer performed his magic, I was suddenly able to see details I hadnt in years! Hes kind and attentive, an absolute artist in his work, and I highly recommend him (and MHEI in general). If you need cataract work done, do it NOW - dont waste time not being able to see clearly,. This place is the best.

I will start off by saying that I did like Dr. Richheimer. He was very nice. However, I went in for a cataract consultation and was charged $844 for a consultation. I thought it was outrageous. I was there for about 50 minutes, in which 30+ minutes are waiting for doctor and eye dilation.

I specifically asked them the cost of what my visit would be, they said they would send me a bill.. I mentioned to them, i dont want a bill sent, i want to know my costs today, so i can pay it today. I paid them what I thought was my bill. Months later, I had a 300 dollar bill I had no idea about.. I feel like it my Duty to Warn others and share this experience with others.

The multifocal IOL was the best thing I have ever done for my health. Thank you Dr Richeimer. Got my first pair of glasses at 5 year sold, wore gas permeable contacts for 42 years, until I couldnt wear them any more. Now Im 58 years old, am 20-20 and can read the fine print on my phone or computer unassisted!

These people are terrific. Every single person I dealt with was friendly and professional. The lobby was pretty full of waiting patients when I arrived for my evaluation, and when I left it was full of new people. They must be doing a lot of things right! My own cataract surgeries and lense implants by Dr. Richheimer went beautifully, and Id recommend him and his team to anyone!

My wait time was rather long and the waiting area was very full, ended up waiting for about 35 minutes after my appointment start time. However, the staff was very professional and the doctor was very reassuring so overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend the office based on the competency of the staff. Might suggest allowing more time for appointments though to help with the wait time.

I saw Dr. Richheimer for a second opinion regarding a surgery performed by another surgeon, and I was extremely pleased with the care I received. I found Dr. Richheimer and his entire staff to be welcoming, thorough, and professional. Ill definitely be visiting this office again for anything requiring the services of an ophthalmologist!

Dr. Richheimer and the staff at Mile High Eye Institute are first class. I have had two separate eye surgeries and my wife had LASIK on both eyes. All experiences were great and the results are fantastic. He is very personable and will walk you through all of your options and possible outcomes. I would not want anyone else to perform surgery on my eyes.

My experience with Dr Richheimer was perfect and went just as he said it would. I am at a clear 20/15 vision after my lasik and could not be happier with the outcome. The facility was very clean and made you feel like this was a place you wanted to have surgery in. The staff was friendly and professional every time I visited. I went as a new patient and need updated hard contacts. I was given conflicting information about my policy and coverage when compared to previous optometrists and my insurance company. Im not sure if this was because of poor integration between my insurer and the clinic, an ill-informed MD or the motivation to increase the percentage of out of pocket / cash payments. Needless to say, I would not recommend this clinic.

Very good place for vision I got cross linking done and staff was very helpful with any questions or concerns I had got I got fitted for hard contacts and never have seen better in my life very pleased and recommend to anyone that needs vision help

My second eye cataract surgery was completed with multifocal lens. I now have vision better than 20/20 in both eyes that were worse than 20/900. I have reading glasses from Sams at $5/pair. I used to pay >$500 for glasses. I have been nearsignted(presbypopia) for 69 years. Everyone at Mile High Eye Institute was friendly, efficient, and competent. It is like a miracle.

Dr Richheimer, Dr Brown, and the staff have saved my eye, and given me back my ability to wake up without worry, if I should open my eyelid or not, to greet the day. Having corneal erosion, and waking up is when I was in most danger. My eyeball would stick to my eyelid and when I opened my eye, I would tear my cornea! Very Painful and miserable. My vision was improved, and not having to glop a ton of Muro 128 ointment in my eye every night in hopes I would wake up without a rip and be miserable all day long is the best! Its freedom people! Im happy!

There is not room enough here for all the accolades I can say about Dr. Richheimer and his staff! For over sixty years I put up with glasses and contacts and within an hour after each eye surgery I have better than 20/20 vision with NO side effects whatsoever. Every question was answered and each procedure was reviewed in detail with me. Dr. Richheimer performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I had no idea what to expect, but throughout the entire process Dr. Richheimer and his staff was genuinely supportive.
