27 October 2021. The employees are the greatest with a lot of information and the library itself holds a lot of history. The main problems with the library today, its just grab a book and leave. making the library useless to the community.

I absolutely love how large their selection of books are! Shh! Its quiet hours!

Love the Library. If they dont have what you want they will help you find it from another Library. The Staff is Great..

Good people. Great selection. My only gripe is that they dont have cameras where people Park their bikes and Ray across the street is a hangout for a lot of the dregs of Elmira and they will just go there and steal your bike while youre inside.

The folks that work there are very helpful and nice

Love the movie selection and if they dont have it they should be able to get it. The staff is always so helpful and its free

Stopping at the Steele Memorial is always a very pleasant experience. Very clean and inviting surroundings + knowledgeable and pleasant staff is a winning combination.

It was nice to just go sit today. There were no homeless under the train overpass so it was peaceful

Wont go back anytime soon. Everything for kids is shut down and they are still requiring people to wear masks.

Great staff!

Would give it a 5 star but they arent very friendly with babies. I had yo feed my son and they wanted us to sit at the high tables. My son cant do that. They dont have high chairs or wouldnt let him eat in the kids area. Other than that they are great. My advice yo them would be get a high chair or put a kids table there.

Dropped off some books, an easy enough process. Didnt get any on this visit but often do so. Staff is usually courteous from my experience. Selection is adequate all things considered. With the use of inter library loans you can usually obtain most materials. Though I will admit Ive ran into quite a few titles that they did not have access to. Overall it seems to be a decent library considering the size of Elmira.

Love This Place

This is the best library around. Great people work there and there is a good variety of books and movies.

New to the area and my daughter is such an active reader, so when we first walked into the library my daughter was amazed at the space and how put together the place is. She especially loved the huge chess set.Other than the people just being creeps in the library the place is welcoming.

Shirley was excellent in helping find the missing leak in our genealogy search!

The staff are making certain we only stay for 30 minutes. Everything is being sanitized. ❤

The library is amazing. But when did it start being closed on Saturday? ? So not cool. Busy people during the week cannot get their kids to the library until Saturday morning. My boys are heart broken. :(

Helpful staff. Lots for the kids to do. Tons of magazines. School trips in there all the time. Great place in Elmira.

Bring your kids! Special room set aside for the very young.Visit the new arrivals! A must! Members can even rent hard-to-get popular new books.

People are helpful. Provide help with many types of Technology. Will teach, hold classes on a variety of subjects.

Plenty of things to do here for my son and I! Computers for him (age 3). Toys and activates. Computers for myself. Second floor with a digital media lab extra computers and books. Tech lab, tinker lab and more!

Easy access location very nice atmosphere courteous staff great play area for the kids great movies books magazines schooling materials
