Wins the Isaac seal of approval. Got there later in day, 4:45pm, during xcountry roadtrip. At first they werent sure if they could fit a ride in for our 12 yr old, but after visiting gift shop, came out and said they had time for another ride. This is the happiest our son has been in a very long time. It was especially a win as my first flight was from the same airfield some 42 years ago, at about the same age as our son. Now hes trying to figure out whether air force or private flight school is his path. The pilot and everyone were amazing. Thank you from a former Elmirian, now living in Oregon. Oh, and it was somehow fitting that his ride was accompanied by the faint rumble of thunder far off, probably in Watkins Glen.

Read the full review. Two members of my family went for a glyde. They loved it, amazing views, a calming sensation, and they were even allowed to piolet the glyder!The only thing is instally when the thrust plane was pulling the glyder on the runway, the cable connecting the two SNAPPED! Then the guys around just brushed it off, saying the thrust plane initially puts a lot of force on the cable, and this happens. Then they replaced that cable with the same type... What if that cable broke at a different point in time, in the sky or later down the runway. Someone could have been injured especially considering the glyder doesnt have a parachute.Im an engineer that cable was never supposed to snap. There is supposed to be a calculation where they take the maximum loading on the cable then multiply it by a factor of safety of like 6 then pick a corresponding cable. In addition to the fact that there should have been a regular maintenance check to make sure the cable is safe.Unless this company fixes it I wouldnt recommend flying with them.

I like aviation museums. Harris Hill Glider Museum is nicely done. If you go there on a clear day you can either watch tows or ride in gliders at the adjacent airport. Its a nice view from The Hill.

Amazing experience. Ill definitely go back. It was really cool to see the history of soaring at the museum next door and then be able to experience it first hand. The pilots and staff were great.

Amazing experience. Just make sure you get there early right when they open or even a little before because the line can get quite long, but definitely worth the wait!

I was up for a 20 minute flight in a ASK-21 sail plane and had a thrill of a lifetime. Tom my pilot could not have been any nicer and made the experience absolutely wonderful. I look forward to going again soon. Thank you!!

Great place to experience air gliding!!

For years I have dreamed of soaring and finally the weather and opportunity all lined up for me and I was able to fit it in on a family vacation. I had no idea that it was not only a soaring club but a famous one at that. I had an amazing pilot from Germany flying in a German built glider. How fitting. My pilot was very informative and I will remember that first ride for the rest of my life. if you ever dreamed of soaring be sure to check them out, their club sits on top of a mountain 1,700 feet above sea level so the view is amazing also!
