The fastest haircut I’ve ever had. Scheduled with one stylist and got a different one. The smell of cigarette smoke was what came to me.Staff seemed like they didn’t want to work and didn’t want to talk to anyone that walked in. This location has dropped in customer service and quality.Never going back - I could cut my own hair better than what I paid for.

Went in to get my hair trimmed, layered, and thinned out the stylist was very rough while combing out my hair after she washed it. The stylist did say she was having a bad day i guess my hair payed for it.She completed my cut and stated I would shed a bit from her thinning my hair it really was because she cut it and never removed the hair she had just cut out. I left with my hair wet so I didnt notice and my hair is naturally wavey when wet. A few days later I went to style it I then noticed how bad she had cut my hair its very uneven has spots she never cut and for layers she gave me a bunch of shelf like layers My 5 year old child could have done better will never go back save your money and time go somewhere else

Ive been on a mission since I relocated to the area a few years ago to be able to know that if I needed my haircut I could just walk in the same place over and over and receive exactly what I asked for and more. Well my search is over. The gentleman there who cut my hair did an amazing job. Actually the best cut I can remember having. If youre from around the area and just cant find a barber or stylist that just cant seem to ever make your hair turn out the way you want make sure to try cost-cutters out. The mandate for wearing a mask has been lifted if vaccinated and they have on their door you must show proof. They are going against the hippa law . Therefore I won’t give them by business. Are they going to give me proof they don’t have HIV ect? Exactly! They are wearing their mask, something they feel they need to do. Don’t dictate what I feel is right to do or invade my privacy.We will find another salon that welcomes business without the hassle of invading our rights.

I love how welcoming it feels when I walk in there.They always greet you with a smile& no matter how busy they get, they will try to take care of you. Each stylist has extremely good customer Service skills, and exceptional experience for all services they provide. Very good place to go for all of your hair needs! They’ve recently updated their Regis design line for a more organic, natural approach to the health of your hair. They carry vegan products as well. Would highly recommend this salon for anybody&everybody!

This cost cutters location has been nothing but welcoming during this though pandemic. I credit them so much for doing such a good job being one of the few open in the county. Every staff member is so polite and welcoming, and can we talk about how clean the salon is. Certainly will be returning to visit this wonderful staff.

Cost Cutters is a great place to get a hair cut! The girls are super nice and are good at their jobs. Erin took her time to give me a great cut and she made me feel super welcome and comfortable while sitting in her chair getting my fresh new look :)

Fantastic!! The girl, Randy ( or Rainy?), who cut my hair was awesome! She was fast and professional! Made me feel welcome and comfortable, as if Id been a long time customer of hers. This was my first visit there and Ill be back. I would recommend this place to everyone I know!

I asked if they could follow the same cut as my last stylist. Danielle where are you? They said they could I was chopped not styled, even before I left I tried to explain what I wanted, she said she could try to do it but it wouldn’t look uniform. Just a tangled mess now, quite a square box,very disappointed! Where did Danielle go she was a great stylist!

I got a haircut at cost cutters that was terribly uneven, had several spots of longer hair and they didnt dry my hair at the salon so i had no idea how it would look everyday till i got home. I also didnt get the layers that I asked for.

I’d rate 0 stars if I could. Customer service is a joke. I scheduled online, and I got a confirmation of the appointment. Showed up at my appointed time to an empty salon and the counter girl informed me that the online booking didn’t work because I couldn’t possibly have gotten a confirmation. I pulled up the email but she would “have to find an available time.” Um again, THE SALON WAS EMPTY. I can understand why. What a joke.

This salon has such a comfortable environment. They are very professional and always have such great charisma. I am so happy that I finally found a place I can go to and get the results I want every time. I also like how clean and well organized the salon is. Everyone in this salon is amazing. If you haven’t been here yet you should. Great services at a great price point.

I’ve never had a bad haircut here and have never had such a quality experience getting my haircut with anyone else. The staff is so friendly and down to earth.

Given this place more opportunities than I care to mention...This place is a working job shop, no one there has any respect for the customer. Which is understandable as the employee turnover is high, clear indication of how they are treated. Sadly this gets transferred to the customer. In support of the COVID protocol, I tried to book online using best available and the site would not allow me to. Thus had to go into the location only to be told they had an opening two and half hours later. Wasted my time!In short, the Parent company of Cost Cutters is Regis. They should be concerned that you get what you give in the long term. Treat people with disregard to their time and they will move on. That said, Regis controls a large portion of the market, so anyone reading this should understand that Cost Cutters is just one of the companies that rolls up into the Regis Brand. So you should also avoid, Supercuts, Roosters, Bestcuts, Borics, TGF, Procuts, Famous*Hair, Island Haircutting Co., Magic Cuts, Hair Crafters, We Care Hair, City Looks Salon, Carlton Hair, Smart Style, First Choice, Open Salon, Mastercuts, Holiday Hair, Saturdays, Head Start, Style America, Cool Cuts 4 Kids, Sassoon, Fiesta Salons and Beauty Supply Outlet,I am done with any Regis owned provider, I have given them way too many opportunities to secure me as a customer. Sadly they have only managed to demonstrate their lack of customer understanding at best, down right disrespect at worse. If anything positive has come from this crazy 2020, for me it has helped me realize that I should choose wisely where my hard earned money is spent. Making sure to support those businesses that truly add value to my life, not the otherway around.

Brandy is a very talented Hair Stylist. She has cut my hair, my wifes hair, and my daughters hair for many years and never disappoints! I would highly recommend that anyone visiting this location ask for Brandy!

One of the few salons I will go to for a haircut instead of a barber, one of there stylists, Brandy does excellent men’s fades and grooms beards perfectly. Everyone is very professional and I have always been satisfied with my service.

I have always had a very good experience here. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the staff or experience. Whenever Ive gone, I have always received the look and color I wanted. I will always go here. I have been to plenty of other salons in the area and the staff at other places can never deliver with the look or color I want...

Told 15 to 20 minute wait. After waiting about a hour it was obvious all the stylist where still going to be busy for awhile. So I left. I understand being busy but if they where honest about the wait. I wouldnt be writing this review.

I have been going to Cost Cutters in Horseheads for many years and love the service I get. I love Jessica. My daughter and I are always pleased with the results. Very friendly staff.

My visit on March 2nd was a disaster. I wanted my hair shortened trimmed and the top layered for covering loss of some bulk of hair in front. The young lady that did my hair had butchered it. She thinned my hair which I didnt want. Cur it so much that it was lopsided. She was more interested in what was going on next door to her and the front door. It was a disaster. I paid gave a tip which I didnt think I should but did anyway. By the way it was my birthday. I was so depressed at how bad it was done Sunday after church I went to JC Pennies shop and a woman did what she could do to straighten up the mess.. She had to layer property and. She had to cut it very short. She said she had never seen such an awful cut like that before and apologize for all hair stylists everywhere. 50$ later finally its at least even and livable.. Cost Cutters doesnt usually have such bad stylist but young blond was awful. I wish I knew her name so I could warn everyone.

Would give less than one star if I could. Called ask about getting 2 kids hair cuts. Initially was told they were busy but if I came right now they could do them. Was there within 2 minutes of that call and when arrived told about 25 minute wait. Waited about 35 minutes when another family walked in and another 10 minute went by when the stylist came out and said sorry but I am cutting their hair now, pointing to the other family and If wanted cuts it would be at least an hour. I was not happy about wasting my time waiting and asked to speak to a manger who was in but too busy to come out. Will never return for any service with them. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere.

If only there was a half star rating option. I went in initially for a trim w/ layers and wound up with butchered locks and an all around uneven haircut. I had along with me what seemed to be a picture with a very straight forward style with layers in it. This stylist (sporting a two-toned do that was shaved underneath) started off by saying, you wouldnt want that ... her hair doesnt even look real. I did my best to tell her what I did and didnt want and I felt her getting impatient and rushing me through to get me out of her chair. Not only did I receive a hack job from an under-skilled stylist, I sat in the chair observing the dirty looks she was sharing with the other stylist ( who was sporting a demure platinum blonde do with fringe bangs) from across the room. She readily responded back to her with her own eye-rolling and before hand was talking with my stylist about an absent worker stealing and hogging all the products used on the clients.They must often forget that they work in a room with a number of mirrors, because I could see everything.Anyways, I dont consider myself to be a very demanding or judgmental customer, but these girls were some of the most immature and unpleasant hair dressers Ive observed. I would like my experience to at least be of some help to someone else. PLEASE, save your money and your beloved strands and go somewhere else!!!

It was a disaster and I would never go there again because the staff is not really good at what they do. I had a hair cut and it was a lady who said she had been working there atleast 10 years. But she doesnt bother but how even your hair is at the end she just use a trimmer and scissor to cut the length and leave it. As a hair stylist you have to be so concentrated on your customer hair instead of chatting with your colleagues. It is your responsibility to check the smallest and minor hair all over is even and I dont think she knows it. That is the reason I did not tip her as well and had to redo a hair cut with somebody and waste my dollars again just because of the work you did COST CUTTERS.

When we first started going there, they did a good job. But stopped taking my daughter there since no one could handle a slightly layered bob on her hair. My husband & son kept going, until now. My hubbys last 3 haircuts were horrible. After the last time, when he said not to touch his sideburns, guess what she did. Ive started cutting his hair now. My son now refuses to step foot in there since his last one was messed up. We went back to have it fixed, she did a good job & basically had to start over & recut his whole head.Dont recommend unless you want to play hair roulette...

Wanted a color correction on my hair and mahagony foils, and Katie didn’t cover all brass/ blonde in my hair, and the foils she put in were misplaced and more on one side than the other! And was charged for a cut that was supposed to be corrected when she literally spent a minute “fixing” the cut and didn’t fix anything! $100.50 flused down the toilet! Plus a tip that I felt I HAD to give. Never again! I’ll stay with LaGra!

I went here last week and it was terrible!!! I say spend more money else-where to get a cut you want! The woman who did my hair had clippers that badly needed sharpening, they tugged at the hair and scalp, and then she cut way more hair than I wanted.. No good!

The staff there are all very professional and such a great atmosphere. I have been to many salons but this one is hands down my favorite place to go.

The lady who cut my hair cut it too short to the point where I look like a boy.

Terrible cut !! Went for a simple trim and bangs and I ended up with my hair not even starting at the nape of my neck and Im a female ! They cut off a good 5 inches when I asked for a trim and the sides are in even and choppy !!I give it one star because I cant give it a zeroIf youre gonna go somewhere to get your hair cut go somewhere else and spend a few bucks more its not worth the save
