I absolutely hate going to the dentist because of having to go all the time when I was a kid. With that in mind, I put off going for a little too while lately and my teeth got bad. My sister in law and brother recommended Dr Sullivan and I couldn’t have been happier. Great personality, great guy and just really puts your mind at ease. A master of his craft and all around consummate professional. I’m actually a little surprised he doesn’t have a perfect 5 star rating overall. Even if you can’t afford it as easily he will work with you on payments as well. He definitely has a returning patient from me until the day he retires.

I made an appointment to have Dr. Sullivan assess my TMJ that has been an issue for 10+ years. He listened to my concerns and talked through how the disorder and treatment work. He was kind enough to adjust the bite appliance I had from another doctor, saving me money and time to get my treatment going. After a few weeks of frequent adjustments, Im already feeling much better and am excited to continue treatment.Because of my experience, I scheduled a cleaning too, which was very pleasant as well. Dr. Sullivan and his team are great. They are super flexible with scheduling and very generous with their time and attention to detail. I would recommend to anyone.

After having seen two dentists, an oral surgeon, and a TMJ specialist who wanted to charge me $5,500 for treatment, I finally found Dr.Sullivan. He changed the quality of my life overnight. I could tell right away I was in good hands when he genuinely listened and gave his honest recommendations. Ive been grinding my teeth since childhood and recently dislocated my jaw so I was in a LOT of pain. He fit me in the same day to return with my mouth guard (I forgot to bring with to my consultation) for a possible adjustment. After sleeping just one night with my new mouth guard I woke up for the first time in a long time without a headache. Its truly incredible the amount of pain you dont realize youve been tolerating until you feel better. The other staff was so kind and accommodating as well. Ill forever be grateful I discovered this practice.

From the moment you walk in the door any nerves about going to the dentist are eased away. Everyone at this office is friendly, helpful and provide plenty of resources. He very clearly explained to me his thinking and rationale and told me my options in clear concise words ( Im a medical student -- Ive noticed most doctors absolutely fail at informed consent, but not Dr. Sullivan) He used my existing night guard to save me money, and luckily my jaw tension has greatly improved. Dr. Sullivans office was able to fit me in quickly, and I received great care. He assisted me with receiving a mouth guard my PT recommended for headaches, neck and shoulder pain. Dr. Sullivan was very thorough in making sure I understood the purpose of the mouth guard, and the goal for how it would improve my health. Dr. Sullivan continued to see me until the mouth guard was adjusted to the proper size for optimal results. I would highly recommend him and his practice.

Ive been to quite a few dentist in my life. From my past experience, I dealt with rude front desk admin, appointments that is not follow through. If Im schedule at 10:30, I shouldnt have to wait an hour to be seen. Some dentist also lack experience by the way they talk to you. None caring attitude and judgemental about your personal dental care.I was referred to Michael E. Sullivan by the Pieruccini family and co-worker. Upon walking through the door youre treated like a VIP. The ladies at the front desk with great you with the most amazing smiles. Every staff is friendly and exciting to be around. The level of care is unbelievable. I mean its fantastic!From his mouth to your ears its not you fault and dont worry about anything. We will take care of you.The most subtle words that would make you feel welcome and comfortable from Dr. Sullivan.You wont need to find another dentist. Dr. Sullivan has a calm and caring demeanor. He takes the time to explain everything and makes sure you are comfortable during the treatment. I broke my tooth two days ago and needed immediate treatment I found Dr Sullivan on line and called. There were so nice and helpful. They got me in right away saved my tooth with a root canal. In 1990, Michael Sullivan helped me with a dental emergency by opening his office on a Sunday for me. Did exceptional work then and does it now. He has been and will be my dentist forever. I have a really bad insurance plan and the staff worked jumping through hoops for them back and forth for 8 months until it was resolved. I know most others would have given up. The most important the fear I have for needles. These are all things that come to mind when it come time to visit the dentist so I didnt for years. Wife comes home one day and says, I do know how you are and how you feel about the dentist so I scheduled you an appointment with Dr. Sullivan because I know that he would fill all your expectations & make it comfortable for you because he has for me.WOW!!!!! WOW!!!!!WOW!!!!!WOW!!!!!WOW!!!!!!Was she right or was she right.WOW with a capital winning W like the cubs And I hate the cubs (go sox) but he Owns the W.From the sec I walked in the office the vibe is great. You are greeted as if you are a long time friend in a professional matter and by name. Hardly did I wait once I checked in to be taken to a room. Everything around the office was in order and and you could clearly see that they had a system in place that was working. My evaluation & X-rays were fast and painless by a great lady who walked me through every step of the way explaining what she was doing and why. When it came time to finally meet the man of the hour I was so nervous but could wait. Dr. Sullivan walked in the room to greet me with a smile on his face as if he was happy that I was there, before I could even say a word and pour my stomach out he started to explain to me everything that he had observed in my evaluation & X-rays and how we we were going to move forward. Dr. Sullivan made sure he covered all bases and broke it down for me in a matter that I would understand with no rush he was also ready to answer every question I had. The thing that made me more comfortable was the fact every time I was told what procedures had to take place he assured me that he would do his best on it and it would be the least pain possible. I love when people take pride in what they do and show confidence. My fear with needles is no joke Ive had it all my life and I wasnt ready for that moment. Before I even knew what was doing, he already had injected me 3 times. Ive never had an experience with needles like this one before. Something was inserted in my mouth to flush out all the chemicals and nasty taste out of my mouth and it worked. Once completed Dr.Sullivan had done a GREAT and painless job. Dr. Sullivan and his staff made the entire experience very enjoyable. I am pleased to have found such a great dentist since moving Elmhurst earlier this year. Without a doubt I will be returning to Dr. Sullivans office as long as I am a resident here in Elmhurst. Thank you!

We travel past dozens of other dental offices to get to Docs office because he is worth it. Not to mention Jen is the best dental hygienist Ive ever met. Everything comes off your teeth for your cleaning. Definitely recc you go here.

Being a 1st time patient I was skeptical. However, I HIGHLY recommend them and I can not RAVE enough about this office. Dr. Sullivan is very focused on improving your oral health while building a trusting long lasting rapport with his patients. He is beyond compassionate about his work and has a natural care for people. Their entire team is polite, professional and caring- from Bianca and Alvita (the receptionists), to the dental hygienist, to his right hand dental assistant Nancy. They are truly an amazing team and Im happy to call this my home dental office! Yall ROCK :)

I took my 83 year old father to Dr. Sullivan, DDS. My father isnt doing well and he was not in a good mood, he did not want to come to his appt.I will have to say that I LOVE DR. SULLIVAN. Not only Dr. Sullivan but his entire team. Everyone in the office was so kind to my father. Dr. Sullivan I believe is a honest Dr. It was not about the money, he really cared. He even made my father laugh when Dr. Sullivan asked him about the Chicago Cubs!!! (we are cubs fans). I will highly recommend anyone to go to Dr. Sullivan. I am gong to make an appt. for myself. It was a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Sullivan is a wonderful dentist. He does great painless dentistry with no surprise billings.

Staff is friendly and you can tell Dr. Sullivan cares about his clients/patients. Had some work done on my teeth and they feel great (redid some work other sloppy dentist have done in the past). If your looking for a dentist look no further!

Dr. Sullivan and staff are great. Dr. Sullivan does excellent work and takes pride in his work. He has a Grade A staff, very friendly.

I am not one to enjoy going to the dentist however Dr. Sullivan always makes sure I am comfortable before he begins working. He work is always very thorough and I like to believe he is a perfectionist.

I hate dentists. I have hated them since I was seventeen (I am forty-five now). At seventeen, I needed a root canal and the dentist and endodontist that I saw, did not know that my upper jaw does not stay numb and even with fourteen shots of novacaine, they proceeded with doing a root canal on one of my upper molars. I felt everything. I was traumatised. It took another seventeen years for me to step foot back in a dentists office, and that was to have yet another root canal done. The dentist had to give me IV sedation to do the procedure. The oral surgeon had to do the same to remove my wisdom teeth. Every visit was traumatic. I went only when I was forced to and I paid dearly for it, not only mentally but also physically and financially. (I wont even get into the trauma that my son faced from an early age as well.) Fast forward ten years and I decided it was time to leave Addison Dental because they were ripping me off financially.I began a search for someone new. I asked people for referrals. I talked to my family, I searched online... No one really had great things to say like they do with their doctors. I never felt comfortable with the answers I was receiving. And then there was the dreaded insurance issue..... the worst chokehold on any dental decision we ever need to make.I did a local google search and found Dr Sullivan. I skimmed thru his website and moved on. He looked good but websites can be deceiving in my experience. I looked at a number of other locals and then at a new chain type practice that opened near my chiropractor. I decided nothing looked any better, but something specific kept drawing me back to Dr Sullivan. He had a section on his website about what he does on his Fridays, how he helps people in need by offering them free dentistry, giving back to his community. He didnt put the information in a prominent spot so that everyone would notice it first thing when his site was visited, but it was there and it stayed with me.I made the appointment. Again, it had become an emergency. He took me in immediately and literally coddled me as if I was one of his own children. He listened to my worries, soothed my fears and made sure that he did everything he could possibly do to help me, to fix me without undue stress. And then he began to assess the damage that all the rest of the dentists had caused over the years and slowly, we have built a trust bond and he has been restoring my faith in him as a dentist and restoring my healthy smile.I have entrusted him with my family and referred my sister to him who needed an emergency root canal done (yep, its a family affliction lol). I will continue to refer anyone and everyone that I know because not only does Dr Sullivan do damned good work, he has heart and he makes you feel like you are a big part of his family. More than that, his has worked hard to make sure that his staff has the same work ethic and will treat you the same way that he does.I dont give reviews easily, but this one was most deserved.
