I have been to different NDOW offices several times over the past 40 years, but my trip to this office was by far the most pleasant experience I have had in dealing with Nevada regulatory agencies. I needed to get my boat registered but my closest NDOW office was temporarily closed, so I called the Elko office about a boat registration and spoke with NDOW agent Brandi. She gave me concise, accurate information as to what documentation would be required. When I went to the office to process my transaction, Brandi was fast, efficient, thorough and friendly. I had a choice to either go to Vegas or Elko. I had already dealt unsuccessfully with the Vegas office, so I chose Elko and drove 200 more miles round trip to complete my business and it was worth it. The drive is scenic too, so that was a bonus.

Went in to get AIS stickers for our kayaks. They are super helpful and have a ton of information for anything youre going to be doing outdoors. Be sure to check out the fish tanks!!

Helpful staff available to answer almost any question about fish and game. They also have amazing education for the community and children.
