Its a nice office ! I felt comfortable and considered as a person. Im new here, and its hard for me to adapt to a different system than back home (France). Ive had an awful experience with a dentist in Berkeley (bad hygiene, no privacy, fake cavities diagnosed). HERE, at Dentists of El Cerrito, my experience was completely different ! Every single person was serious, helpful, and they took time to explain to me what was wrong and was not. My dentist is Parijatha Karamsetty.

Most of the negative reviews here applies to all dentists. they’re expensive and will send you to different specialists based on your needs.Aside from that, this place is so friendly, professional, get the job done, and most importantly for my case, they’re a life saver.All the staff are well selected and provided a stellar service.Receptionists are friendly, dentist assistants are awesome and even one of them mentioned that she likes the place and like working with dr pari.a registered dentist assistant in this place made me a temp crown, the endodontist later saw the temp crown and said “wow that’s a really nice temp crown“finally for dr Pari I don’t have words can describe the professionalism and humanism coupled, but I’d say dr pari is very impressive dentist.doctors scare me, I don’t feel comfortable in hospitals nor clinics, I once fainted when I saw my dad after surgery, but I give this place FIVE stars.

Very disappointing. I began my patronage for myself and daughter here about 9 months ago or so. My daughter is ten years old and had some of her two grown up teeth compromised. They said they couldnt work on them so they sent us to Fairfield to a child endodontist. I paid the few hundred bucks out if pocket for consultation to find out that nothing out.of the ordinary needed to be done and that the teeth just need to be pulled because her mouth is small and they will move and full the spaces. They sent me back to Dentists of el Cerrito. So last Wednesday was the appt.....they remove 80 percent of one tooth and throw in the towel(which at first I was ok with because I obviously want the job done right for.my daughter) and say you need to come back tomorrow where the specialist oral surgeon will be in and may do the job(usually only does 12 and over I am told) or they will find another.place that carries my insurance. The next day no one calls, so I call them and they say nope the specialist wont do it but also do not have any suggestions. They say they will call back with answers. I again call them because hours have passed and they say a place in Daly City can maybe do out.of pocket for consultation and procedure or back in Fairfield(mind you not the guy I already paid a consultation fee to). I definitely made it know of how upset I was but nothing that could be taken personal. I calm down and think to myself I will just take it and pay up where ever they send us, so I call the next day(Friday) and reach the back office operator. She expressed her sorrow and concern saying she would be upset to since she has a six year old. She says the office will call me by end of day. Friday passes and then the weekend. I call and send email on Monday and only reach a back office operator who says that the regular office will get back to me. Tuesday I call and still nothing, still no email, and I also sent a personal message to the Dentist themselves on the smile generation app.....it said it was read by staff which is more infuriating. I found a dentist today who called Dentists of El Cerrito plaza and to get my daughters x-rays and file sent over......welp they didnt have a problem answering the phone. Insanity. I have an appointment in June, so I guess I should plan on parting ways . A shame because the staff seemed very friendly and the gear seemed state of the art.....just take some damn responsibility and help the customer.

I went here to get a cleaning and was lied to about needing around $2,000 of cavities filled that I did not have. I went to my regular dentist who I trust to get a second opinion. After my regular dentist did x-rays and an exam I found out that I had zero cavities and was lied to so that could do unnecessary just to make money. I will be filling a complaint with the California Dental Association.

These people are so greedy, to remove a tooth $600 without a question. I could do it for less than $200 elsewhere. Specially when you don’t have a dental insurance they will take the full advantages. No mercy.!If you are in this situation and save some money in this difficult times, please call others and shop around for better prices.

First and last visit. I was told I needed six fillings and deep cleaning. I had a hunch that neither were true given my overall dental health and history so I sought a second opinion. I was in and out of the second dentists office in under 30 mins. Sure enough, there was no need for deep cleaning nor the fillings.As other reviewers have noted, the wait at Dentists of El Cerrito was long.

I was relatively happy with my visits themselves. The only issue is that they continue cancelling my appointments. Before my first visit, they cancelled one day in advance and postponed my visit by one week. The second time, they cancelled only one hour prior to my appointment. This time, I have just called them to ensure that I am all set for todays visit and they told me I am not in their books. Again! Third time in two years! So, if you are looking for a reliable and well-organized dentistry, then Dentists of El Cerrito Plaza is NOT the right place for you. I think I am going to switch as well.Update: They promised to call with a new appointment time but till today (two months later), I have not received their call.

The friendliest and most professional staff I have ever met.Sarah at the front desk is very helpful and makes my family feel welcomed there.

Warm and professional greeting from start to finish. They handled my paperwork and correspondence with my insurance company. Dentist of El Cerrito are more concerned with making people feel good about themselves by taking care of their dental needs. I was looking for a good dentist to call my and I found it for life.This is only dentist office I will going to. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I am a new patient here and Im truly impressed with the services I have received and professionalism and kindness of the staff. They are attentive and respectful and always make me feel comfortable. They also respect my anxiety over dental work, and I have visited many times in the past few months because I had put off some serious needs for years. If youre like me and having a hard time choosing an office, I highly recommend this place. It sounds crazy to say this about dental work, but its a wonderful experience every time.

The friendliest and most professional staff I have ever seen. I generally hate the dentist and was very impressed with how comfortable I was. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

If you want to waste half a day at the clinic just sitting on the dentists chair and waiting for the dentist this is the place for you.I’ve been there 4 times now – it’s always the same!

Went here for a filling. Not only was it super expensive but while performing the filling they flipped me upside down and i felt like i could not breathe. Will never come to this place again.

By far my best experience at the dentist. Excellent service and really put me at ease given the overwhelming amount of work I needed. Definitely recommended.

Hi Im a paraplegic so it is very hard for me to go to places specifically having to transfer seats but doctor and the nurses accommodated me very well and everything went smooth I need a front tooth broken due to my accident a couple years ago and the price was over fair and not only that he did everything in one day and the highest equipment available. This doctor gets all my blessings. Thank you

I Love Love this Dentist office from the Front office staff, Hi David and Beautiful Sara and lets not forget the Dental Assistants who are always friendly and attentive to the Hygienist, Hi, Deanna, to the STAR Dr P, who is not just another pretty face, but, patient, professional, and perfect bedside manner. To the Oral Surgeon, Dr. FARAJI, whose no holds bar approach is thorough fast and with a smile. Whom ever put this team together did a very fine and complete job. I left my previous dentist after 15 years of loyalty because they didnt seem to care about patient individual care anymore. I tried Gental Dental what a Nightmare. This team of professionals has restored my Faith on Dentistry. Thank you. I would definitely recommend. 😍

These incompetent clowns charged almost $500 to my wifes checking account after we paid them in full / in cash over 2 weeks ago. This nonsense happened on Aug 5th which was literally our wedding anniversary. Needless to say, that crushed our evening as well as screwed up our Aug rent check clearing the bank. Called and raised hell - its going to take 5 - 10 business days to get a refund issued - guess thats what well tell our landlord. IDIOTS!!! This is why I hate doing business with places that require you to put a credit/debit card on file: because they pull these crooked stunts. These guys just lost a customer.
