So, I went to this facility for an emergency visit, and overall. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, friendliness of the staff and the overall demeanor made me feel like I was actually cared for. Folks, if youre considering Western Dental just across the way. Save yourself the time (and money) and come do business with these folks. You wont regret it.

The staffs are very rude and Dr. Nguyen does not help you if you do not spent big money. My insurance covers like cleaning and filling but she said I have to take out the teeth which is not too, she does not want to do the filling because free. She is a lair. I never go back there. F.

Clean, friendly, professional, and efficient. I recommend it to anyone look for a good dentist. Dr. Nguyen explains everything she’s doing in real time, which is very reassuring.

The team at Bright Now are top notch. From the moment I walked in for the first time, I was greeted and treated with superior customer service. Worst experience ever. First they schedule 2pm appointment when the entire office is empty, after 1 hour wait they finally get you someone to take an x ray. Then they tell you you have to schedule for cleaning two weeks later when I clearly requested when setting appointment that I expected to be done during the same appointment. This is the second time they have done it to me. Stay away from this palace if you value your time. 0 star if i could give that

I had the most disgusting vile experience at this dentist office. I came in for a checkup and a cleaning that was covered by my insurance. The doctor looked at my mouth for more than 30 seconds and declared that I needed a $5000 deep cleaning. They refused to do the cleaning part of my procedure because of this. They wouldnt provide the reason and treated me like a 5 year old. I asked them to put their diagnosis in writing stating what I needed and why; this was apparently offensive to the hygienist. They refused any further explanation and the only option I have is to get the $5000 procedure or get out. Now Im out my annual checkup and cleaning that they are billing my insurance for. I would avoid this dentist at all costs. This office preys on the weak minded and will try to strong arm you into procedures you do not need.

NO STARS . Couldn’t post with no stars ..MEAN .I went to this new dentist clinic because it was local . They refused to treat me because I had a panic attack ( afraid of dentists) and my BP was up . 3x .Mr Kaiser Dr agreed they should have just done the work . The dentist was scary , the dental tech she was rude to because she was unsure of the equipment .I was attempting to relax . Didn’t happen ..They said I needed a bone graft charged $460I paid it all off . That was in February before COVID . They closed . They kept taking $$ out of my account till it reached $460 . They finally returned $360 in Sept 2020 after multiple calls to the corporate offices . The ElCerrito Clinic is Incompetent and at this point I’ve been told after me calling 6 times that maybe it will be another 3 weeks to return my deposit .The Elcerrito office is a general dentist office with a totally new clinic and staff .I absolutely did not feel safe there nor would I recommend anyone to go there & they have held my money Knowing I’m trying to address my teeth that now have more problems because if their Number 1 incompetence & 2 ) because the Elcerrito office has refused to acknowledge it and is un trust worthy .NO STARS . DONT GO THERE!!!!!!!! They just want your $$$ and are very manipulative . Incompetent business .

Unimaginably terrible experience going here. The office is clean and some of the staff seemed well meaning, but I will not be going back.Couldn’t schedule online even though they have an online scheduling tool. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication between their corporate HQ and their actual offices.Arrived 30 mins early (because their confirmation email said to do that) but no one was there. Waited for a long time and people finally showed up at the front desk. One of the staff seemed amused that I arrived so early, even though they ask you to do so.It took several appointments for my wife and I get a simple checkup, cleaning, and fillings done. We were already hesitant to go to the dentist during Covid, so this was really frustrating.They tried to charge me $3,000 for antibiotics not covered under my insurance, which they later admitted were “optional” but were initially presented as necessary.After paying all my bills, they assured me I’d paid for everything, but I got another bill in the mail months later. They blamed my insurance company and charged me late fees, which were waived after I pushed back over the phone.Other reviews where patients mention being grossly over charged makes me feel like they have some sketchy accounting and billing practices.Overall, the worst experience I’ve ever had going to a dentist.

We have had the nicest experience at Bright Now Dental in El Cerrito! Wendy, Maria, Dr. Patel and Harpreet are all wonderful! They are very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable every step of the way during the long process of some major dental work. We are so happy we chose Bright Now Dental and would definitely recommend them!

So this is the first dental place where I had to hear professional dental advice from the front desk person who handles payments, who is the primary person I had to go through to get a response from my dentist who is standing in the same office. They also suspiciously said the treatment cost 2700 dollars but if you pay 79 dollars it then brings it down to 1350 dollars. So how much does it really cost?? Apparently no one knows. I then ask why I cannot just get treatment on the tooth I am currently having problem with but having to pay 1350 to get the same thing done for the ENTIRE mouth, and the response I got was that is not good for you and we do not do that. Never saw the dentists face again after the first talk for 5min. then it is the front desk person doing the rest of the talking like she knows just as much as the dentist. HIghly suspicious place.....definitely the worst I had ever been ...

My hygienist did a great job! I’d recommend her. this cleaning over due, she was kind and patient b/c I was having pain on a lower back tooth. But she got the job done! Thanks everyone! Take care of yourselves.

I called because my front tooth.. The women at bright now dental were amazing. Wendy was friendly and caring at the front desk. Maria assured me all would be well and that they would work with me. Dr. Forouzan was caring and did everything possible to save my tooth. I have had fears of the dentist for years. Bright Now Dental has reaffirmed my faith in caring people and caring dentist. This place is great! I hadn’t been to the dentist in 7 years!! They treated me so kindly and don’t yell at me for waiting so long. If anything I was really hard on myself. They set up an easy payment plan for me, due to not having insurance. Everyone was super kind and I definitely feel like my mouth is in good hands! 👍☺️🦷

I had a a terrible experience at bright now. They couldnt find my dental records even though I had been there twice before and had serious work done. The new dentist diagnosed me off of my old x-ray and tried to fill in a cavity that had already been filled in. She only realized it after my mouth was painfully numbed and she had the drill on my tooth. Then, it took them over an hour to get a proper x-ray and multiple technicians. They also forgot about the teeth cleaning part of my appointment. I left after 2 hours with my gums bleeding and my mouth numb for absolutely no reason.

This place traumatized me today. I left with more pain then when I came in and with nothing to ease any of it. This was my initial exam as a new patient,at first I waited over an hour I pain in a uncomfortable chair. With a massive toothacheThe dentist stabbed me in the cheek repeatedly while numbing. (I can usually handle these shots that are usually almost painless) but this lady did not care where it was going. just stabbing the inside of my cheek. The part that was painful wasnt numbed at all. And she just kept stabbing & filling up my cheek until I finally stopped her and told her enough, and that I didnt want anymore. Then she began stabbing and filling away at the infected tooth that was not numbed at all.Im already terrified of the dentist. This place made it worse. I was not comfortable at all! And the lack of experience or compassion clearly shows.I even tried to do my research in order to avoid being traumatized because the process. I did not have the same experience as these other reviews! Im suppose to go back Monday. But Im most likely going to cancel and go somewhere else. I was in tears when I walked out of this place!

Friendly and professional staff, clean facilities. A few issues with inter-staff communication and wait time on my first visit but overall I’m pleased with their services and will return and would recommend to others.

I hope I dont need to come back to this office EVER. Maria was nice, but she told me that my insurance wasnt a real insurance but a discount kind of thing, which made me go through all my insurance paper work and I just found out that what i need to do is 100% covered by my insurance. Also the doctor was rude and said: wait here to see what can we do today, 2 minutes later another lady comes in and say: we cant do anything for you today...wait what?where is the doctor?ahh ok! The doctor was in such a hurry..If you dont want to work why even open until 6pm, am I right? I left the office after Maria saying that i dont really have a real insurance, all frustrated and with Pain bc my tooth was broken. I felt like I was just a number instead of a patient to be taken care of.By the way the Pinole location is waaaaay more friendly and the Dr. Forrest was waaaaaay nicer than the location in El Cerrito, he explained to me EVERYTHING AND HOW WE WOULD PROCEED and the lady in the front desk told me EVERYTHING about how to proceed with my insurance! Hope The El Cerrito location will have more kindness and be more helpful to next patient or will just have more reviews like this!

I walked into this place with a pretty intense dental phobia and had been avoiding the dentist for years & years, with that said, this is the first dental experience I have had where I felt genuinely understood and cared for. The entire staff is extremely patient and very friendly.

I had an appointment for a cleaning with harpree I believe her name was she came an hour late and then when she showed up she sat next to me to start the cleaning, finally . As soon as she sat down their was a humongous wiff of alcohol. I know this isnt something to laugh at but I thought I was kinda of trippin honestly but the, hygienist was drunk , after and hour of waiting then to have to smell the disgusting ordor had me like wow its just not a place where you would expect to come across a drunk person . Ive experienced two bright now dental offices and oh boy the corporation definitely should start paying attention to what is going on in their offices . very un safe and completely unstable

It may seem like a trivial thing but the Novocain injections I’ve received have been completely painless! I’m very impressed with the staff and service at this new location in El Cerrito.

The Customer Service is excellent. There were 2 ladies at the front desk when I came in and very attentive to my needs. Very patient with me since I never follow doctors orders so when I come in, I am usually in a lot of pain. They were very helpful. Maria helped me before and I forgot the other young ladies name, but they are both great. If you have any dental needs, call them. They will take care of you.
