I ended up seeing another opthalmologist due to the many times I have had a long wait as well as rushed in and out of the appointment. I had questions and concerns I wanted addressed, but never gave me the chance to ask them. When I finally saw an opportunity to ask a question, I was completely ignored. There were other issues such as not telling me a diagnosis until a year later. He thought he had mentioned it at the time, but it was only told to me a year later during my yearly exam. I have 2 family members who are also looking elsewhere for the same reasons of being rushed etc.

When my elderly mothers new glasses were ready, she was in a rehab center and unable to get out to Dr Takagis office. So Will, the optometrist, brought the new glasses to her, adjusted the fit, and wished her well. So kind! So helpful and considerate!

Aside from the limited hours, its a great place. Easy parking, nice front desk staff and waiting area. Dr Takagi is really nice and competent. They had a nice selection of polycarbonate glasses that worked for me. They took my insurance. They have a longish wait for appointments but I think thats a good sign.

Had Cataract Surgery done on both eyes. Excellent doctor. Could not have asked for better care.

Ive been to Dr. Takagi twice and was hustled in and out quickly both times. Spent all of 2 minutes with him on both occasions, where he simply suggested I return in 6 months to see how things are going. While I dont have any reason to question his medical knowledge, he seems to be solely focused on the more advanced problems of his elderly patients. He seems to have a lack of concern with correcting less critical problems - suggesting only to use more eyes drops for my chronically irritated eyes with pterygiums that bother me on a daily basis.He also refused to retest me for a new eyeglass prescription, even though I could only read half of the eye chart. Im taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.
