I always do online shopping. I had to go to the Menlo location because something I had ordered still had a sensor on. So I went to the store and the only 2 associates (both man) were so pleasant but the manager in charge was absolutely rude and didnt make eye contact when she talked to me, she was too busy to help me with my return (sorry I cant remember her name but I believe is Megan or Amanda).

As a long time Express shopper, member and credit holder, I am appalled at the experience Ive had. Ive had worse experiences at certain Express stores so Im not really that surprised but its like Im still a little surprised. When I walked in there were 2 workers there, one was folding pants & the other was just there slouching over, leaning on a table on her phone. They didnt even great me. She looked at me and just looked away as if she never saw me at all. The guy finally greeted me after a couple minutes. I went in the store to buy slacks and blouses for work and some jeans. I walked around the store looking for my items but was only able to find blouses. For some reason, the store didnt have a lot of jeans in midrise and didnt have all the options in slacks such as skinny leg slacks. To make things worse, trying to get someone to help you whether it be to find an item or be let into the fitting room was so hard. It took 20 mins for someone to let me in the fitting room and by then i had already gotten in one due to the fact that I caught the door when a customer was leaving. It was a bad experience all together.

Best clothes to buy, and i lovw actually shopping there.

The quality of express clothes have truly deteriorated over time. I remember getting my first pair of work pants for an internship in 2011. Compared to back then, the quality of their clothes almost laughable for the kind of prices they charge !!

The Menlo Park location is a hot mess. Extremely disorganized and not enough staff. I usually shop in Livingston mall, its MUCH better there

Today around 430 I came in to return an idem. There were four workers all helping one customer (It seemed like one of the workers made a mistake). I’m standing there for about ten minutes then finally the manager tells me someone will be right with me. Finally someone calls me to accept my return. I did not have the card I used on me so the guy worker who was doing my transaction called a girl over (high bun, African American) to approve a store credit. This girl had the nastiest attitude in my life. If she was to crack the slightest smile her face would’ve cracked. Retail is all about customer service I think some of them need to be retrained. I’ll stick to my online shopping these associates are a hot mess

Very hopeless store. I ordered 4 pairs of pants online. They didn’t fit correctly when trying them on after arriving. I went to the Express store at Menlo Park Mall for a refund but they said 3/4 of the pants have to be exchanged due to store policy because I took the tags off before trying them on. Seriously?
