Unfortunately, when I went for a check-up this morning, I had quite a negative experience with the dental hygienist that was assigned to me.I will preface this review by saying that I have had only great interactions with Dr. Schmoyer in my previous appointments throughout the last few years. Todays interaction was only with the dental hygienist, and I did not interact with Dr. Schmoyer.Today at my check-up, I had a routine teeth cleaning that was incredibly painful. To elaborate, I was in agonizing pain when the employee in question cleaned my teeth. This is due to severe gum inflammation, which is something to which Im genetically predisposed. Several of my relatives had gingivitis and gum inflammation throughout their lives.While I admit that I have slacked on my homecare routine in the past, I have been brushing my teeth twice a day, as well as flossing on a regular basis. In fact, I brushed my teeth a mere 2 hours before my appointment this morning.Apparently, I have not been thorough enough with my homecare routine, which resulted in the severe pain that I experienced during my cleaning.Now- just ask yourself this: If you were dealing with a patient that was clearly in severe pain (tearing up, visibly wincing upon the gum line being touched, and more), would you make any effort to comfort this patient, or at least attempt to assuage their clearly negative experience?I believe that this is what some would refer to as customer service. While many people dread going to the dentist due to the often painful interactions that occur there, its understood that regularly going to the dentist is an important part of maintaining ones health.This dental hygienist in question was rude, brusque, and lacked compassion throughout the entire process. She even told me, It looks like you havent brushed your teeth in a week, and literally rolled her eyes when I said that I brush them twice a day and had brushed them just a few hours earlier.I am going to give 2 stars as opposed to 1, as it is my hope that perhaps this dental hygienist was having a bad day and merely taking her frustration out on who was one of her first patients for the day. That is still very unprofessional on her behalf, but I hope that this employee treats other patients with more compassion than I was treated today.

I have been using Dr. Schmoyers services for three years now. I do not have dental insurance and her fees are incredibly reasonable. The level of care is outstanding. I never feel rushed. The cleanings are meticulous. Additionally, unlike most doctors, I am not sitting in the waiting room long. They are very timely with their appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Schmoyer and her staff.

Dr. Schmoyer is a very skilled dentist who employs a staff that treats you with the care and compassion like you are one of their own family members. 5 years ago, we needed to find a new dentist, and that is when we found Dr. Schmoyer. I hope we never have to change again! We love the relaxed environment (especially because I am not a dentist office fan. Now I love going to my regularly scheduled appointment!)

Dr. Schmoyer is wonderful and reassuring. I have been on a lot of pain recently due to an old root canal. Dr. Schmoyer helped with the situation and even went the extra mile in patient care to return my first message on a sunday to reassure me that I wasnt being ignored. I had tried to see my regular dentist about the problems and was treated very poorly. I am so glad that this wonderful person was here to make sure I received the proper care and didnt end up with greater complications. My pain was easing even before I got in to see her because of her knowledge and wonderful patient care. I am now switching exclusively to Dr. Schmoyers care for the rest of my oral health.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr Schmoyer. A dental specialist recommended her to me, after a bad experience with a previous dentist. She runs on time, she is available in emergencies and she is very kind and gentle !! What more can you ask??

I had a dental emergency and the office was closed. And she met me to fix the issue that I had. Thats a great dentist.

I cannot put into words how fantastic Angela is. I was very afraid of dental treatment from previous bad experiences from my childhood. I had a tooth extraction and never felt a thing. We are in the process of getting a dental insurance plan and I shall be taking my whole family to her from now on. I still feel amazed at how quick and painless the whole procedure was and will happily be recommending her to anyone with dental problems. I was very worried about going to the doctor, there was always a fear of dentists. After the pandemic began, I urgently needed the services of a dentist, I am very glad that we found such a doctor! A very attentive woman, professional in her field and pleasant in communication. My English is very bad, but we understood each other without any problems and did everything.Highly recommend! :)))
