Great equipment, spacious and not crowded. Makes for a beautiful workout experience.

Its terrific gym. The equipment has been replaced with all brand new machines and extended the space to 33,000 square feet. This place is massive.

It was pretty nice and spacious at this gym. I saw the guy working in the front cleaning the desk, which I appreciate and he was very nice too. I just wish they had hand sanitizer available throughout the gym, but they did have cleaning spray. I also love the fact that they have ropes and an area for trx bands.

Ive been attending this gym for about 6 months. The whole time Ive been jumping rope in one of the cardio rooms. However, today was the first time that the New Management has said to me that Im not allowed to jump rope. Im not understanding why Im not allowed to jump rope when its part of the cardio workout. Its very frustrating. Im going to have to find a place where jumping rope is not a bother.

Gym is very well maintained, spacious and clean, People mind their own business, this location is much more convenient than the Belleville one which gets overcrowded most of the time

The place has everything from weight loss to body strengthening equipment. They even got massage parlours.. great place and its not to pricey to sign up with them.. the black card comes with all packages.

Writing this review few weeks after joining. The fee is very reasonable even for the premium membership and this is great place for just the workout. It doesnt have basketball court or swimming pool but just the workout machines, weights and a clean and huge space for the workout. There are ample machines here so there is usually no wait except for the weights section where you may have to wait for few minutes in busy hours. This place has 30 minute full body workout area and 12 minutes abs workout area. The restrooms and locker area are clean and neatly maintained and there is enough parking at the premise. There is free guest allowance, massage chair, hydro massage, tanning and few other perks for premium members. Higly recommend this place.

I come to this location often and for the most part things are organized and the staff are okay. But there are a few times I have to deal with the very much unpleasant, upset and sarcastic assistant manager and it just makes the workout experience disappointing. It is also understood the state has placed restrictions in the gyms but the communication to the guest on what those rule now are definitely has to be worked on. And the consistency of implementing the rule as well. All guest should have to follow the same rules.Lets do better east orangeThank you

Went as a guest of my son, today.1st, you cant wear any masks or face coverings other than a fabric 1. No n95. No surgical. No bandana. Nothing but a cloth face mask, that if you dont have they turn you away, or you can buy their cheap ones that barely cover and dont cover the nose bridge well (so glasses fog up and during the workout, they come down) for $4.#2 many machines were unplugged and/or signs that stated social distancing; so very few cardio machines could actually be used.#3 while working out, MANY people were bouncing from machine to machine without cleaning them. I mean, at that point, wheres the cleanliness? Bottles were placed on certain garbage cans. Some paper towel machines were empty. It was quite disappointing. And to have like 3 people behind the desk, maybe they should allocate 1 person to check machines or watch the people working out to ensure that the guidelines are followed. Maybe then it would make sense when there are signs everywhere stating the social distancing law and practice but it isnt being taken seriously by the patrons nor the employees except when you 1st walk in.Other than the important stuff, its great! 🤷🏽‍♀️👍🏽

I signed up in East Orange because the one on Springfield Avenue in Vauxhall area I did not get a good vibe from the staff and its closer to where I live but East Orange staff was very courteous and the young man that sign me up I believe his name was Durrell was very helpful Pleasant he really showed me how its done. He walked me around showed me the equipment gave me a advice on some of the machines to use I really got to give him five stars Planet Fitness needs to keep him he really made me feel comfortable enough to join thank you. He would be a good instructor or manager I believe his name was Darrell but you can look his name up hes the one who signed me up here at East Orange Planet Fitness. I will keep you updated have a great day.

I love Planet Fitness. Its the best get back in shape place i know, with the most pleasant atmosphere. In the past two weeks Ive been to 3 locations, and i have to say the maintenance in the south places like NC, and GA. Are far more sterilized, and they keep it convenient. There are sanitation stations that are loaded with paper towels, and hand sanitizers. Up north The sanitation stations are empty. The paper towels are still in the same places a mile away from the workout stations. You almost dont wanna sanitize because everything is so far apart.

The personal trainer, Julio is a must!! He is personable and patient. Planning a daily workout with him!!

This location is clean with newer equipment and eeryone is respectful of social distancing. In addition, there is ample parking.

Not exactly sure why blue surgical masks and N95 masks (the latter being the most effective face covering available) aren’t allowed for working out but only cloth coverings are allowed to be used in the club. This review is specifically for the East Orange, NJ location. I’m not sure if this practice is a national planet fitness policy but it’s completely ridiculous. Other health clubs in NJ do not have this stringent policy so I don’t understand why a entry level club like planet fitness has such a exclusive policy. Take your business elsewhere.

Rude/ghetto customer service over the phone. Additionally protocol has zero empathy in regards to the current epidemic. I would assume money is the priority, not customers health.

I had to write this review because during the height of a national pandemic I would think Planet Fitness would enforce the use of masks. I noticed today that 6 patrons of the gym had their masks on but below their nose or completely below their mouth. I then observed a staff member at the desk also with her mask on below her nose. Please enforce the use of masks completely on to ensure all patrons are safe.

This is the best one around. Only because of its size. And there are less people. Elizabeth PF is a covid breeding ground. I like EO gym

Lots of new and functional equipment.

I cannot believe that during this pandemic there were 5 paper dispensers without paper. Its like they wait until all of them are empty to refill them. I dont have a problem cleaning the machine after my workout but I cannot clean them if there are no paper towels. This is unsanitary and I am hoping that this gets rectified. The issue is during the night shift.

I got a yearly membership ($99) and I called to ask if I can bring a plus one, the guy on the phone said that he wasnt sure and advised me to call the next day to ask a manager. I did and the manager told me if the site said that I can bring a plus one, that I can. I came in to the gym with my plus one and the front desk told me that I cant have he with me. I made the extra effort to call the gym so I wouldnt have to deal with this issue. I tried to explain to the front desk what happened and they didnt make any move to contact a manager or compensate me by allowing my plus one and I enjoye the gym for the morning. I am disappointed and embarrassed that this happened even when I made an effort to avoid it.I only rated one star so my comment will be seen. I didnt even get to enjoy the gym.

Alot of the equipment is broken or under-maintained, missing padding ect. Most paper dispensers are empty. Good layout though, hopefully will improve.

No classes to take but ok...very clean...they are always sterilizing the machines due to Covid 19...love the massage machines...for the most part friendly staff...normally 24 hrs but now closes early because of covid19...must wear a cloth mask to enter.

Good equipment, but its very crowded in the evenings. But the staff is annoying. If I dont want to wear my mask on my nose thats my business. If you have yours on your nose and it protects you then what im doing shouldnt phase you. So I went to another location where Im not harassed

Planet fitness is very swift in charging my card again with no notification, but can’t let their clients know about the policies they will be enforcing prior to getting to their locations. I understand enforcing cloth masks due to executive order no. 181, however they clearly forgot to read the entire order which states “Nothing in the stated policy should prevent workers or customers from wearing a surgical-grade mask or other more protective face covering if the individual is already in possession of such equipment.” I NEVER write reviews, but this was such a frustrating and discouraging situation.

I enjoyed this beauty supply store it had a wide range of popular products that I love will always return for more products.

Today I went to the gym since the pandemic started and I had a good experience going back. I had the wrong type of mask, but the PF member was polite and told me they had it for sale. The gym was clean and they had many disinfecting stations and hands free sanitizer. The meter that indicates how full the gym is was accurate. The only recommendation that I have its that some ppl wored their mask half way, so the team members should enforced that.

My favorite place absolutely a judgment free zone

I have been going to this gym for a few years now. I came in this morning and was greeted at the front desk, by an extremely polite and attentive young man. He was smiling and very welcoming. I wish I got his name, so that I can mention him. His customer service was very refreshing, his enthusiastic attitude rubbed off on me today. Even though I dont know his name, I had to mention the awesome service he gave today.

It was my first time at this gym and Vaughaun was EXTREMELY AND UTTERLY disrespectful to me. I was misinformed about the guest privileges so, I needed some clarifying with the membership packages and what they entail. Instead of politely informing me, she started using a nasty tone with me, was using her hands in a rude and condescending manner and repeatedly told me to get out “since you’re not a member.” She said, “you can leave” and began to make a scene. I told her calm down, “we are just having a conversation” and I continuously asked her why she was talking to me like that. She had zero customer service skills and was absolutely horrible. I have been to Planet Fitness at broad street Newark before so I know what good customer service skills look like. If I were a brand new guest, I would NEVER attend a Planet Fitness based on this experience. She was an absolute disgrace and embarrassment to the establishment. On top of that, none of her co-workers could correct her animal-like behavior despite me telling them to intervene. When I asked to speak to someone else, she told them “no, don’t get anyone. I’ve already told her what I need to tell her.” By far, this is the worst service experience I have ever received and I strongly believe her behavior warrants her termination or at least, suspension. With grace and a smile on my face, I left the gym but this is not going to stop me from returning and working out my body!!!

Great place to workout off hours only because this gym really gets extremely busy & convenient location with public transportation as well. I could also walk up the street to this location from my apartment. The staff is cool depending on whos working. They also do their best to keeping the gym floor, restrooms, lockers rooms & shower area cleaned for a heavy crowd of people.

Planet fitness is great to come at around 1am. Feels like you have the gym to yourself. It is clean , bathroom was spotless. I had a peaceful work out. Great to see all equipment worked properly.

The gym itself is out of the way, I would never have run into on my own, Although I work in the same town. Parking is incredibly difficult to find (depending on the time that you go). Very clean atmosphere, friendly staff and most of the patrons seem to mind their business and allow you to work out in peace!

The 1st time I joined this gym my experience wasnt the greatest I asked questions and got absolutely nothing in return I knew nothing about the equipment and no one was the least willing to help so a stoppedmy membership. But Ive done my own research and Im a little more aware and more knowledgeable so Ill join again.

I come to the gym often and at all different times of the day and I have never witnessed a staff member spray tons of cleaning spray on the walls of the small almost enclosed workout room, not only am I still feeling the spray in my chest and coughing but literally I was deep inhaling as I workout and could of passed out by the amount sprayed in the room, the best part is the lady manager with the grey hair is the one who did it. Thats very unprofessional, unpleasant, and rude to do while people are trying to workout. If it happens again I will definitely be going to corporate because I also am allergic to certain cleaning agents so this could of been way worse!!!!

Best gym Ive gone to, considering the 2 following factors which are most important to me when considering a gym:1. Cost2. congestionThe cost is important because I do mostly bodyweight or weighted bodyweight exercises, so I dont need fancy machines, but what I do prefer is a small amount of people in the gym because its more relaxing and no time to wait for each area of the gym I need.Plus, like I said, its $10/month, tough 2 beat that!

Affordable prices!!! The instruction is amazing and they take their time to properly teach everyone. I will continue training here. Best facilities!

I love the spa like experience and quality. The affordable Black card gets you everything from Massages to Stand up tans. The water is a dollar and the machines are plentiful.

This gym is pretty cool. I liked the woman behind the counter. She was pregnant and working her butt off. For that I would give 5 stars.What I dont like much is their payment system and sometimes have problems with them taking the money out of my account. I trust you to bring a blank check and sign up please be accurate. This is why people dont want to support ethnic community places. We dont get the same accuracy as Bushwick. Which is why I gave 3 stars.Lastly.. they have several signs of this branch hiring and my sister attempted many calls and applications. They kept saying the manager wasnt in at different times for 2 weeks. When we asked while at the counter they said they have several apps in front of us with over 20 interviews in one day and almost 100 apps behind the desk was shown to us. I think you should take the darn sign down. Its not hard. I cant not stand ghetto stuff. For this you get 2 stars for the lack of excellence.Hope this helps someone.

Good gym. Its my home gym so its quick to get there from home. Staff is nice. Bathrooms are clean. Its pretty busy most of the time especially after 6pm buy its not hard to get on machines. Overall Id recommend it.

Plannet fitness is a low cost gym where you can get all the necessary aquitment to stay in good shape.

Malik & Lynette retrieved my car Keys after I left them on the counter. Great deed done by the both of them. Thats exactly what make a company great.

Staff is courteous and friendly. I am a black card holder and like the flexibility of attending gyms nationwide. I havent had any major issues as I am there to work out but here lately I have noticed that a few of the treadmills need maintenance and are stopping in the middle of workouts with error messages and I also notice that sometimes the towel dispensers are empty and you have to hunt down one in order to wipe down a machine which interrupts and adds time to my normal workout. I have reported both issues to the desk staff. As an aside, I attended a Planet Fitness in Jacksonville, FL recently and we need to step it up here in Jersey, the machines were new and immaculately maintained and the staff and trainers were legion.

They need to pay more attention to cleanliness on the machines at pick hours. Last time I was there around 6pm I had to leave my workout just after 30 mins of arriving there. I almost threw up on one of the machines because of the nasty smell coming put out of it and all the sweat on the machine.

Clean facility, huge parking lot, nice staff !!

No one was at the front desk when I came in. Didnt know what to do. Waited for a minute or so than started to workout. When leaving I gave them my card to swipe. The associate tells me that Ive got to sign in. My friend needs an I.D for a waiver. I tell her next time hell have it. But they was acting like I was wrong. It was 330am I guess thats why we was treated like that.

First, d like to say that I am very happy Planet Fitness has opened in this area. However, I have noticed some things that may deter future members from visiting. This location seems to be the nightly hangout! So, for all my after hours gym people, this may not be for you. There are groups of younger people that meet up here just to sit in the Ab workout room and they are loud. All you hear is them laughing and joking. I mean to each his own but, if I hear you all over my earphones, no bueno. Also, if everyone is just sitting on the machines during this gathering, this is discourteous to people wanting to use. I am on a journey to become healthier and the gym is where I go to focus and put in work. No distractions NEEDED! ~ With slight changes with the atmosphere this could be a GREAT GYM!!

For the most part, I enjoy PF. There are spurts when its too crowded like any gym. My only real complaint is the circuit room. Members stay on the machine they want for too long and dont respect the members that are trying to use the room as it was intended. There are also members that use these machines as seats to socialize and the staff does nothing to discourage them. Who wants to run back and forth to the front desk being a tattle tale? The staff needs to spend more time being observant and aware of the gyms current needs.

I wish that I could give zero stars! These people never pick up the phone for nothing! Ive literally been calling them for a whole week so that I can speak with someone in regards to my account. When I go in the evening im told to call during the day 9-5 when the manager Dreamy is there. I work so Im only available after 6pm and shes not there. But for the life of me, they wont pick up the phones so that I can have my issue resolved and this is annoying!

Its clean most of the time. Participants are the ones that dont read and follow the signs. Staff for the most part a friendly, even the ones I dont know personally. Great location. Plenty parking.

Great facility with tons of equipment. All for a fantastic price. A lot of space in the parking lot. Its $10 a mo and they leave out a yearly $30 fee. But its still worth it. And every 1st Monday of the month they have pizza. No lie. If this gym isnt worth $10 a mo I dont know what is.

I love working out there,and they open 24 hours. The only thing I wish they have indoor basketball court. I heard lot of the guys talking about they will register if they build one.

No mirrors in bathroom so u can dress yourself properly...they say because its a no judgement zone YET ALL THE WEIGHT LIFTERS GET TO STARE AT THEMSELVES IN A MIRROR THAT SPANS THE LENGTH OF THE BUILDING?????
