Thought that the mountain sitting on my six-pack was immovable. But having met my personal trainer, Carl, I believe that there is hope yet. If you have fitness issues and if Carl is the standard by which the other trainers can be judged, then I recommend Blink Fitness, East Orange unreservedly.

We love everything about this gym from the cool staff, equipment, daycare and amazing personal training offered. Once you work out in this facility you will be surrounded by people who really care about their health and staying fit too! If you like wearing your mask below your nose, this is the gym for you! As long as you wear it properly when you walk through the door you’re more than welcome to not follow state ordinances since the staff don’t bother to enforce them either. I’ve brought up this concern to multiple staff members of multiple occasions yet I always see them walk past or even hold conversations with these dingus nose-breathers. I will be filing a complaint with the health department after I leave this review. I can’t wait until there’s a much better gym with better staff near me that actually cares about the health of patrons.If I’m doing the same lift as you for more weight AND reps you can keep your mask above your nose.

Blink can never get the staff situation correct. Some of the staff are phenomenal the rest just are...I came in and a young lady takes my temperature...she was nice and friendly...I was slightly distracted by a video I needed to watch for class so after she took my temperature I started walking to the locker room...another young lady tries to get my attention by yelling excuse me...I felt embarrassed and as I walk up to the desk to scan my tag I said “No hello or anything?” to which she said good afternoon and rolled her eyes meanwhile the guy whom she was talking to standing right there smiling.:.this is the same with almost every Blink I go travel to...guest who patron the gym are ALWAYS viewed as interruptions to conversation or phone time not seen as the reason they hold their jobs...I have been with Blink literally for 5-6 years and it’s the same from the Bronx where I started to East Orange where I currently work out in...(I visited the one in Passaic and the only close to Elizabeth and had a great experience) however it seems the ones in my community(urban) are the ones with these instances...this is one persons view on a situation but I shouldn’t have to go outside my own community to be treated with RESPECT.

I have been trying to cancel my plan since I moved out of state and they refused to knowing that there isn’t any blink fitness center in Des Plaines IL.Called several time to cancel my personal training monthly bill as well and they haven’t done that. A total of $300 have been deducted from my account and they still won’t cancel my request.This is very unprofessional.

Like 👍it so far. Its clean... sanitizers are in all the separate workout rooms. Employees do clean and maintain the equipment and restrooms.

Overall the gym beyond clean. My complaint is about the mask. I have a Mission face mask and previously I was allowed to wear it with no problem. Today I arrive at the gym and the lady says you can’t wear that. You can wear the paper mask or the face shield. She’s only doing her job. The face shield, you face isn’t covered at all. Can we get some consistency please or clarity on this issue.

Heard from all of my friends that it is a great gym... I really want to go there but I have to wait till January to turn 16 years old.. Can you please reduce the age minimum because I want to start going there.. I will pay any price to go there at the age of 15..please do something about it

I’m a First Responder and It Kind of Blows That The Guy On The Front Desk Had Me Go Through The Whole Process Of Registering My Partner As My Guest and Not Let Us Workout Because We Didn’t Have “Gym Attire” We Just Wanted to Lift For A Little Bit On Our Down Time, We Are On Call So At Any Moment We Have To Run Out In Case Of An Emergency, The Other Blinks Let Us Workout They Just Tell Us Not To Get On The Treadmill.. I’ve Never Been Through This With Any Other Gym If You Can Please Change this Rule Here At the East Orange Blink So That We Can Be Healthier to Better Serve The Public.... Thanks

Blink Fitness is scamming their customers we are still in a pandemic they start everyone accounts and continue to charge them I have not been in the gym since the pandemic started I’m unable to get in touch with customer serviceAnd they are still changing me after I was told by rep my account was frozen people are unable to work or be in public but gyms are still charging us and have employees give wrong info

This gym has a great layout. Even when theres a lot of people it still feels spacious. Its very clean and theyre always playing good music.

They’re the best gym staff ever. Everybody is just so friendly, kind and helpful. Plus the gym is well equipped and always tidy.

The gym is beautiful and in a central location for all. I love it! I gave Blink a 4 star rating because there’s always room for improvement. I’m rooting for the gym to remain in it’s bright and bold fashion while incorporating fitness classes in the future.

Went for a free trial Jan 14, they didnt have that. Signed up to try for a month. I was told to cancel before Feb 17th to avoid next charge. Went Feb 15 and was charged with additional month that didnt need plus $53.99 maintenance fee. Definitely not happy.

Im so glad to finally have a fitness center close to home. The hours are perfect, friendly staff, equipment is plentiful that has me trying new thingsand its clean. Im there at 5:30 a.m. in the morning before I go to work so I must shower. ithis is an added bonus for me. I hope they keep it that way.

The absolute worse of all the blinks ive ever been to. No one ever called me to tell that my personal trainer got fired. When I showed up for my appointment everyone I encountered was extremely unprofessional. A client should have never knew if someone was fired. No one ever apologized and left me standing there trying to figure out what the hell to do next. Will never ever go to that location again. I had concerns about what I should do next and tried to get a overview on the other trainer to see who would fit my needs and they just were talking to everyone else although I was trying to have a conversation with them. I walked out because I DID NOT feel valued as a customer. Awful feeling awful customer service skills wish I couldve gave them ZERO STARS!!!!

When you walk in the gym and you are a female, all the guys start looking at your butt. Its uncomfortable. The gym is clean, has alot of equipments, and staff are helpful.

I went there want to cancel my service with a trainer they charge me another month that I refuse to pay because the first month I pay and didnt do nothing with train trainer and go there 7days before end of the month and they want to charge me for another month.

Very clean facility, rear parking and so much to do at the same time not as crowded as a expected.I love all the equipment they have to offer and they have a kiosk to purchase things in the locker room if you want like deodorant headphones , phone charger bank(portable), etc.New things I tried here , like this equipment where I sat my knees on and held my hands in a handle and made my self twist . That was bussing my a$# but I spent some time on there going up by the weight every rep..Nice friendly staff and bright facility, of course its a gym and ur going to see ppl, bit I always like traffic to be on the little side when working out and when i got its just that!

Ive always had anxiety going to a public gym. I like the layout here. Each set of machinery or exercise equipment is in a different space which gives us reserve ppl an area of our own to do our thing. They have 1 classroom that they allow you to use for even more seclusion if need be. Had 1 altercation with a trainer who was highly disrespectful. Reported him to the manager and that was that. Blink Irvington will be open 11/30, after getting a tour, Ill still attend East Orange because of the floor plan. Irvington has an open floor since the building is bigger but means space is limited when it gets too crowded and congested.

Blink East Orange is the best gym Ive visited in a very long time. Great atmosphere to workout. Very supportive and courteous staff. Best personal trainer, gives you your money worth and doesnt let you slack. Ask for Jeff. Theres a young man there by the name of Jacquill that is so kind and courteous to everyone. I was lucky to witness him in action many times. One day I wanted a energybar. He took Thetime to explain each one to me instead of just letting me choose any one. The best one is on 09/07/2018 when a customer was leaving and was wearing a dressing that was very dirty wrapped around her hand. He asked her what happened to her hand and she said a dog had bitten her. He went and got a clean dressing with antiseptic spray and cleaned the wound and dressed it for her. He touched my heart. Jacquill is an exceptional young man, very caring and goes above and beyond the call of duty!! I also met a young lady by the name of Jasmin, very professional on the phone, make sure your needs are met and always thank you for being a member. I had to meet her in person. Shes as sweet in person as on the phone!! Kudos to Blink for hiring the best staff!!
