I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Shingles on several surgical issues over the past several years. He is always attentive to best possible outcome for each issue and discusses all possible options beforehand. I highly recommend him as a physician.

Dr Shingles saved my knees! I know I need total replacement and I wanted to buy time until it worked for our schedule. His knowledge and advice are very much appreciated and the injections in both knees are working. I can sleep at night again without pain!

Dr. Shingles performed two operations on my daughter. Her first dislocation of her knee was at age 12 and we appreciated the variety of options he provided for treatment. Because of her age, he did not recommend a full reconstruction of her MPFL, since she was expected to continue growing and it would involve the bones around her knee. He, instead, performed a plication and it was an excellent repair that lasted three years. In December of this year, she had the MPFL reconstruction and we are very happy with the results. Within 5 months, she was back on the track and looking forward to a successful senior year of athletics. She appreciated that he listened to her and involved her in all the decisions. She had her final follow-up appointment today and after seeing him for 4 years, it was a bittersweet day.

Dr. Shingles fixed my shoulder that I struggled with for about 3 months. He provided a treatment that did not require surgery. I could not be more pleased and should have made an appointment with him sooner. Highly recommend.

Dr. Shingles completed a full ACL reconstructive surgery and meniscus repair for me back in 2014. He was very kind and took the time to explain everything to me and how it all works. After a handful of visits, I decided Dr. Shingles was the right doctor to go with and must say Im more than greatful for his willingness to operate on my knee. He did my daughters ACL surgery and was awesome. Great bedside manner and very informative and caring. It is a shame that the other doctor in his practice may be affecting the awesome MSU Sports medicine group. Thank you, Dr. Shingles.

My husband and I drove our daughter from Flint to see Dr. Shingles- she’s an athlete and needed ACL and meniscus repair. Dr. Shingles and his staff took their time at every appointment. The first smile after her injury was when she saw Dr. Shingles- he gave her hope ! Would strongly recommend them.

04/02/2018 he fixed my femur fracture with a rod from my hip to my knee and 5 screws. I did everything they asked of me for my recovery followed all recommendations and a year+ later i still have a 80% open frature with permanent muscle and tendon damage!

My favorite orthopedic surgeon. Even if he is a Michigan State fan. I always have to remind him he did get his schooling at U OF M!!!!!!!! Great doctor!!
