I was referred to dr Clarkson by sparrow. I had to have surgery to correct a broken nose. Other than the long wait in the lobby everything else was so easy. Dr Clarkson explained the process and answered any questions I had. The surgery was quick, easy, and nearly painless. Very impressed by the level of care I was offered for even a minor procedure.

I was very hesitant to go but the pain in my right hand got the better of me. The reception area was clean and staff very nice. Dr Clarkston was personable and explained everything well. He even had a sense of humor which made me more comfortable. Got 2 steroid shots to give me some relief, will get an emg and go back for decisions regarding long term relief. I felt he wanted the best for me.

It took forever to get an appointment. But once in, received an injection that resolved a wrist tendon issue that had bothered me for months. Very personable doctor and staff. The injection was made using a state of the art device that made the pain substantially less.

Was given his name by Eaton Redi Care for my sons broken hand. Very disappointed seems like this practice only will see you if you are refer by a sparrow physician. He doesnt take referrals from any redi cares at all. Shame on him and shame in MSU.

Originally diagnosed me with an injury that required a cortisone injection (ECU tendonitis). He gave me one, and told me to come back if there was still pain. I came back because my wrist was still in pain and he then decided it might be best for me to get an MRI because it could be a different type of injury (TFCC). Paid around $1000 for an MRI just for him to tell me that I had a small tear (didnt even specify what ligament or tendon was the issue) and that there was literally nothing that could be done to help– not even physical therapy, stretches, brace, etc. He told me that it was the type of injury that had to sort itself out and heal on its own. If thats not a sign of a bad doctor then Im not sure what is! Approaching 1 year since Ive had the injury and it is still lingering a good amount.

Good surgeon. Very poor bedside manner! Doesnt seem to care too much or want to go out of his way to be a little familiar with his patients. Thankful for his work in the operating room (even though waited 4 hours with no updates!) Hated the check ups at his home office! Glad to be finished with the recovery!

Dr Clarkson is a very thorough, individualistic, and knowledgeable surgeon. He takes the time to throughly understand the background of each patient, tries non-surging options if possible, and plans each surgery according to very specific needs. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Clarkson has been my hand surgeon/Dr since the other older Dr retired before they relocated. He is exceptional in every way possible when it comes down to detail

Poor beside makers rude, never will visit this doctor again. Does not listen to patient, tells his patient to go get a psychiatric evaluation. Went and got other paper work proving what I was saying, and he wouldnt even come talk to me. Sent the nurse to talk to me.
