Professional office staff, Dr. Gobel was thorough and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed.Was able to set up further tests and follow-up care easily.I was comfortable with the practice’s safety protocols.

Multiple check ins and screeningsI think seeing a doctor at this location without being tech savvy would be difficult. It just seemed like a lot.

My 6 year old daughter was referred to Dr. Goebel last fall due to a ruptured ear drum and hearing loss in one ear. After waiting 6 months to see if it would heal on its own, it did not. She ended up having surgery to repair the eardrum. The surgery went better than expected, and Dr. Goebel was able to repair it without a large incision. We are already 3 weeks post op, and she is so happy her hearing is coming back! We go again in a few weeks for a hearing test, which I’m guessing she will pass!! I am so thankful for Dr. Goebel!!

Dr. Goebel was excellent and I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. I had a Thyroglossal Duct Cyst removed from my neck. Dr. Goebel was very clear on what it was and how he was going to remove it. All communications with Dr. Goebel before, during, and after the surgery were honest and to the point. Having gone through this somewhat extensive surgery on my neck there is no one else I would rather have operate on me other than Dr. Goebel. My personal doctor recommended Dr. Goebel and Im glad I listened to her advice and went with Dr. Goebel. I couldnt be happier with the result. Thank you Dr. Goebel!

When I was referred to Dr. Goebel for a lump on my thyroid I was scared because I didn’t know what I was facing. Dr. Goebel set my mind at ease and removed my whole thyroid in two operations. Both times he was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend him.

I had my thyroid removed a couple weeks ago. The surgery went well, and Dr. Goebel took great care to not damage my vocal chords. The incision was placed well and finely stitched for proper healing.

I went to see Dr. Goebel several weeks back for an ear irrigation. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. He did what was expected but I came back a couple of weeks later for a follow up. Again staff were courteous and helpful. Kali, an attendant, was especially kind and with small talk made me feel less stressed about an infection that had come up. She’s knowledgeable and friendly and more professionals need someone like her on their staff. Dr. Goebel was immediately concerned and went straight to work. He made clear and precise observations and recommendations before recommending I come back for another follow up in a week. I will return for additional services if I need to, and would definitely recommend his professionalism to anyone having concerns/issues with their ears.Martin

VERY nice gentle ENT Dr. he performed surgery and it was painless and he sprays your throat or nose when numbing stuff to easily insert the scope, calling to make a follow up-Im past due actually. Looking forward to seeing him,staff and their beautiful waiting room and HUGE fish tank.

Recently I experienced a sudden and dramatic complete loss of hearing in my left ear. Having just moved into the Lansing area, I did not have established doctors here, so I just searched on the web for ENT specialists. Fortunately, I contacted Mid-Michigan ENT and they were able to get me in right away. They conducted an audiogram which confirmed that I had completely lost hearing in my left ear. The next step was a consultation with Dr. Eric Goebel. He confirmed that I had an inner ear problem, and it wasn’t just wax buildup in my ear. He didn’t make any false promises that he was sure my hearing could be restored, but he did immediately recommend a course of action to treat me in an attempt to restore my hearing. I took his advice, followed his recommended course of action, and within 10 days most of my hearing had returned in my left ear. Although both Dr. Goebel and I knew that restoring my hearing was far from guaranteed, this outcome was better than either of us expected. I was highly pleased with Dr. Goebel’s professionalism, recommendations and most importantly, the outcome of his recommendation for treatment of my problem. I would highly recommend Dr. Goebel to anyone seeking medical help for ENT issues.

They have one of the worst billing departments in whole of the Lansing area I ever come across. They actually have an office policy which states a 200 dollars upfront out of pocket payment even before they would see you. They will not see you if you dont pay them this amount - what insurance you have, it doesnt matter. They are least courteous or willing to work with patients to explore options for patients or to learn about the different policies of the patients. So much for the ethical part of medical practice! In my case, they scheduled me for a hearing test advised by the doctor and billing department refused to send to my insurance policy as a diagnostic test and said it is not a diagnostic test. I could not understand if it was not a diagnostic test, why did they need to do it in the first place? My understanding is either their billing department lacks the skills or willingness to work with the multiple insurances out there - a must have skill in medical practice, or worst, they have some mala-fide intentions. Is there a professional organization which can look into it? I know in Australia they have Ombudsman office where you can register such complaints. Please voice your concerns when there or at least ask for explanation and justification of their policy if you must go to them - or better, go somewhere else. If medicine is a business, why not find a business with a better customer services.

Dr. Goebel is amazing. He listens and cares. Both of my daughters were treated by him.
