The worst pharmacy in New Jersey. What incompetence by the pharmacy department. I am a physician and also disabled. No structure or specific lines for prescription medications, COVID testing or vaccination. I get my monthly medication at this ‘pharmacy’. Each visit is a hassle. This time after ordering the medication forgot to refrigerate it and now I have a delay in taking the medication until they order it. I would give this pharmacy zero stars if I could. My pharmacy plan forces me to use Walgreen’s.

This is about the LabCorp at their location not the walgreens. Don’t waste your time. Find another location. After being sent home the first time and told to come walk in the next day. I arrive 11:45 fasting and they tell me I need to return at 12:30 because they’re about to go on lunch at 12. All of this for one blood test. I’m just post that you close at 11:30 for an hour. I came all the way across two towns twice for nothing. Terrible

Horrible service!!!Every single time, I need a prescription filled or refilled. They have an excuse for delay. Poor coordination, poor communication. They do not consider how important the medication is, they just say our system wont allow for it. My daughters medication need refill every 2 weeks as the open container gets bad after 2 weeks but they keep saying you can not refill before 30 days!!! excuse me!!! Does it even make sense??As pharmacist, you should have that information or use common sense. Very unhappy with the service or I should call it disservice and inconvenience they cause, not to mention the delay in giving out medication. God forbid for someone it is a life saving drug and they will say our system wont allow the refill!!! Wakeup Walgreen management...and have some better customer service.

This place is a disaster. Advertised as a FedEx drop off location, a complete sham. They wouldn’t take my box because they didn’t have “space.” Meanwhile they could have easily taken it had they had a tiny bit of courtesy. Will never step foot into this Walgreens again. Rude service at the FedEx/photo counter. 0 stars.

I went in their Saturday January 2nd 2021 to drop off a package for Fedex like I have been doing for over the last year and upwards of 100 times and was confronted by an employee who it turns out was the manager on duty at that time (dyed blonde hair with an accent, grey vest). She had an attitude and than proceeded to ask me what was in my box, because certain items cant be taken with an attitude. Their was no indication from the appearance of the box that it was something that could not be taken. However I know for a fact it wasnt something that was not allowed into the system and as a fedex drop off location they are obligated to take any package for Fedex, first time I was ever asked whats in the box. I did not say what was in the box, because I didnt have too, plus I have the right to privacy in that regard anyway. What is in the box is documented with fedex when I paid for and printed my pre-approved label! After explaining to this employee that this was a fedex ground package which I have dropped off for over the last year she didnt say much else, did her job and scanned my package. While dealing with her, another employee came up from behind me, a black gentleman and stared at me, it was hard to tell at first because he wasnt wearing a proper uniform and I didnt notice nametags or I would have left names. Needless to say I was not happy, did not like the way I was treated and left their with a bad taste in my mouth. Once I got back to my vehicle, I realized I had more shopping to do which I forgot because of how upset I was after what I had just dealt with. So I went back in to do more shopping and saw the women manager and black employee talking closely about me, when they noticed I was back they quickly scattered back to work. I went looking for what I wanted and the item, Welshs sparkling grape, did not even have a price tag affixed to it or the shelf. Showing more poor management. I had to take the item to the register and wait on line to get a price, mind you this is while covid 19 is still going on. After I got the price and realized it had not gone on clearance, even though its after new years and their were only 5 bottles left total, I put it back, walked out of the store, got in my truck and immediately began writing this review. What occurred tonight was not acceptable. I should have been treated with respect as the frequent customer I am, everyone should. I wasnt. Instead I was treated with disrespect, given an attitude and left Walgreens unhappy with the way I was just treated. This is unacceptable and should not have occurred. While sitting here in the parking lot writing this review, I noticed their is garbage all over the parking lot and baskets scattered about. It was also messy inside. It wasnt a cold day, it reached 50 degrees, so no excuse on the outside appearance. I would consider calling and speaking with the General Manager Monday or go higher, but I feel I waisted enough time and my review should do enough itself, as I leave many and they are seen far and wide! This will remain my up to date review until something better occurs to hopefully take its place, if not this will remain my thought of the Walgreens in East Brunswick, on Ryders ln. 1-2-21 6:45pm. There are actually 3 pharmacies closer to me but I come here because I find the staff so so kind and efficient with getting my medications even when it’s not in stock at this location. Theres a girl whose name I don’t know who has super long hair that works as a pharmacy tech I think and she always remembers me and is super sweet! Great pharmacy and great staff!!

I have never had the displeasure of working with more unprofessional, disorganized, and grossly negligent pharmacy techs and pharmacists. I called in medications on Saturday, since RWJ Somerset’s specialty pharmacy is closed on weekends. I couldn’t even have my medications filled at this 24 hour location I was referred to and they transferred it BACK to Somerset without telling me or asking permission! After being transferred from their main pharmacist line to their allegedly “next-day” mailing line, I was told on the phone my medications would be on my doorstep Monday. Monday comes, and I have to confirm no less than four times to four different people my address is correct in the system, in spite of affirming it already on Saturday. I called back around noon to make sure my medications would be sent today. They decide to push to Wednesday. I tell them to cancel one prescription that I need TODAY like originally in order to make it through work and stay out of the doctor’s office. Not a single time did anyone apologize or take responsibility for the negligence and put right lies their colleagues told. Not a single one of them had any record of communication with me earlier that day. They call me AGAIN at 5:30 at work, only to ask me for the FIFTH time to confirm my address and to tell me my order still hasn’t shipped. I have never been more appalled by gross negligence, especially of a corporation this size. These kinds of mistakes can be DEADLY if you go off certain medications and don’t have them in time. I thank God my more important meds are at a different pharmacy and not in this order.If you have loved ones that rely on *lifesaving* medications, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS WALGREENS. The sheer incompetence of the pharmacy techs and their mailing service qualifies as gross negligence and should be investigated by the State of New Jersey and have their licensed revoked, because from some of the other reviews I’m doubting I’m the first to encounter this. They are endangering patients lives with excessive delays, lying about when medications will be filled and/or shipped, and non-existent interdepartmental communication.

Never had an issue with this pharmacy. Electronic scripts get sent and filled within minutes at times, theres never a long wait, and theyre open 24 hours per day. All of the staff are very friendly as well, including Jesse, who knows me and my family by name after picking up a few medications last month. We always had issues with the competitor pharmacy prior to switching (long wait times, unorganized) but never had an issue with this Walgreens.

The store its self is lovely. Never had any problems and all the workers are nice. These past few months the pharmacy hasnt been filling my prescription on time and in fact likely wouldnt at all unless we called them even though its suppose to be filled. This has been going on for about 5 refills now and one time going there they even said that my prescription was never in the system to be filled out even though Ive gotten it in the same place for months already. Not sure if they have a new person working it but whatever happened Im really disappointed.

The worst place for customer service. Pharmacy always seems to be disorganized even though there is always 4 people working. When waiting for a prescription they wont even call you when it is ready. The Pharmacy department wont ring up other items with your prescription and will make you go to the front to be rung up.I would recommend any other Walgreens or CVS over this location.

I always try to give this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt but theyve recently just been off their game with my medications.For one of my scripts, there were spelling errors on my directions - i saw the technician process the script so clearly the pharmacist didnt bother double-checking the directions. The pharmacist is also always in the back of the pharmacy avoiding patients at all costs for some reason - the techs do all the customer service there.I called to also fill my script and asked if it would be ready in an hour if I came by, to which they said it would be done. I never received an email that it was complete so I waited a few more hours. Six hours later I came to the pharmacy and they said it had to be on order for tomorrow. Ok they could have told me that on the phone while they were processing the script. Tomorrow comes and all of a sudden I had to pay double the copay because they switched my manufacturer without letting me know beforehand to expect to shell out extra money for the same medication.Then, they have had me running in circles saying that my other medication I REALLY need for my chronic autoimmune condition will be on order for tomorrow for the last whole week! So Ive been without it since last Tuesday which has had a huge effect on my quality of life this past week. Im not taking chances during the holidays waiting for this medication to be ordered - II had to call a different pharmacy to transfer my prescriptions where I know theyre competent enough to keep me informed and have my medications when they say they will.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Every time I need a refill I have a problem. I received 2 emails telling me that my prescriptions needed to be refilled. I called this morning before 10 am to refill my prescriptions and to give new insurance information. I called this afternoon around 3:30 pm to see if they were ready for pick-up and was told they were not filled. I was then told that one of the prescriptions didnt have any more refills. I was never informed of this when I called in the morning. I then asked to speak to the pharmacist who told me that they faxed a request to my doctors office at 10 am but hadnt received a response. I told her that I didnt believe her and hung up and called my doctors office who advised me that they had never received any fax or request from Walgreens. Asked my doctors office to please send prescription to Walgreens. I then called Walgreens and the pharmacist answered the phone. She told me that they had just received new prescription from my doctors office. I responded yes because I just called them and they said they never received anything from Walgreens requesting prescription. I then told her that she out and out lied to me. They are the most incompetent pharmacy and they all lie to protect each other! If I could give minus stars, I would.

The pharmacy staff here is horrible. I worked at two other Walgreens locations as a pharmacy technician and I can tell that the staff here just doesnt know what theyre doing. Theyve once lost my medication and accused me of lying about picking it up. I had to teach them how to manage their inventory in order to prove that I wasnt lying. Theyve also given me the wrong medication on multiple occasions, even after I corrected them. Its a convenient location but not worth your time/frustration.

Went to Walgreens today to pick up a prescription and the wait time was horrendous. There were approx 6 employees behind the counter and a line of about 5 customers. We waited while the one tech actually took the time from helping customers to place filled prescriptions in the waiting for pick up baskets. She barely made eye contact and seems irritated to be there.I know better than to go at 6 or so in the evening but this was 11:00 in the morning. A SMILE AND A SORRY FOR YOUR WAIT, would go a long way. Clearly there is a lack of regard for customers in this store.Signage for sales is very poor. Items listed in the circular are not posted on shelves. If sales start on Sunday, why is it that on Monday morning there is no stock available on sales items? When asking a store employee that question all you get is a shrug and a dumb look.I prefer CVS for sales. Better management and a friendlier attitude.

You really have to wonder why this place has such a hard time giving good customer service. On August 2nd, I received a text saying I needed doctors approval for the drug, which I got. On August 8th, I was texted that the prescription is Out of stock. On the 16th, after coming back from vacation and still not getting the medication (the Walgreens in CA said they could not transfer the prescription), I went to the store and was told that I needed doctors approval for the drug. Today I received a text saying my prescription was delayed due to insurance issue. I called the store, and was told that they could have the prescription ready today. I went to the store and was told it was out of stock and it would be ready on Monday. Its been over two weeks since I was able to take my medication. Im starting to feel the effects of not taking it. Walgreens, if youre reading this, please get your act together

Had to go to a Walgreens for and discount on meds 1st time ever!! I was told that the medication would be in the next day. I asked for them to call me with a price before they fill it. Got a call and with ins. It would be $270. I had to wait another day never got a call. The 3rd day I called them they said they had it and it is $1079.00 (some discount)I asked to speak with manager after I was told I had to wait another day because no one was their. I told them that is not acceptable and correct answers now!! After waiting another 5 mins ( total call 20mins and most of that was music). Still no answers still no final price and availability is not looking good either REALLY. Not sure if its all Walgreens or just this one. Never even looked if another walgreens has it until I told them too. Ridiculous

I had a sick crying one year old in the car , the medicine wasn’t ready and they couldn’t verify my insurance ?! I had to go inside with my crying son all for me just to pay out of pocket for the Antibiotics. The girl at the counter told me the company was probably closed and they were to busy to make a simple phone call. After paying I went back to the car called my insurance company that was open at 9pm Btw.. all for me just to get reimbursed. But I give them a negative 0 for at least showing their true colors of not caring they probably hate that they are the only ones open 24hours. I always use cvs! They are the best! I would never go here but if you have to and have no other choice ?!

Pathetic pharmacy service. They go out of their way to make things difficult and no one knows what theyre doing. Every time I fill something i end up having to pay the full amount because they tell me my insurance doesnt cover it, only to call my insurance and find out that do, and that Ive been ripped off.

Very disappointed. Lost my film entirely. Their promise is three weeks but they kept coming up with excuses until I just gave up. There isnt much you can do, their only exposure legally is the cost of a roll of film. And they just didnt care, they just shrug when you come back and tell you to come back in a week.

The one star is only for being open 24 hours. I find the store aspect is fine and conveniently located. As far as the pharmacy...always a problem, always a poor attitude. Sometimes I feel they go out of their way to be difficult...pharm muscles. There is no sense of urgency when you need something quickly, they loss prescriptions, they are often careless, they reply on interns and students for staffing. They just dont get the whole customer satisfaction concept. It is a shame that they they cant improve and take their job with a more responsible approach.

If you want monthly problems in your life, sign up with the Walgreens prescription plan in East Brunswick... they have a bunch of millenials working there who are rude and entitled..I am taking Xarelto which took me 5 days to get it filled because they did not want to call my doctor to get the authorization. They just want to attend the window at the drive up and go home. I had to call my doctor whose office showed me 2 electronic e-mails already sent to Walgreens 5 days before. Looks like I am going to have a long road ahead of me waiting to the end of the year to get rid of them. Great!!! as if life is becoming easier. They should study something practical like sales rather than pharmacy if they dont feel like helping the sick ones.

Walgreens has better products and service than CVS. Walgreens pharmacy service is good, and they behave professionally. I started going to this Walgreens a few years ago after repeated issues with CVS (several CVS locations). CVS pharmacy does not maintain confidentiality and does not fill prescriptions, or handle insurance correctly. Walgreens has been my preference over other stores.

Its a Walgreens, the top of the pharmacy chain heap. If CVS is the Wal-Mart, and Rite Aid the K-Mart, Wallys is the Target of pharmacies. This location is usually bright and clean, with only one drawback - maybe its me, but I always seem to get stuck behind a Crazy Coupon Lady at the register!

Pharmacy is great but store itself is terrible. They ask you if you want help and then act put upon if you actually want their help. Just dont ask! The ladies who work at night are two of the most dismissive and rude people Ive ever dealt with (they both have accents, one has dark curly hair, the other dyed blonde hair, and both are quite mean). Truth be told, I dont think Ill go into this walgreens again if theyre working. I have spent a lot of money at this place, but that wont happen anymore. There are plenty of drug stores out there.

The people who answer the phone in the pharmacy have no knowledge to answer questions and put you on hold indefinitely, the pharmacy staff files the insurance incorrectly, they are unapologetic about their constant errors, and act as if you are expecting too much when you demand that your script be filled correctly. DONT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE.

DO NOT go here for prescription filling. Ive lived in EB almost my whole life. And the odds of there not being a problem whenever i use their pharmacy has always been slim. I dont know who manages the workers, or the system but whther its pharma or an issue with the insurance databases; there has been a problem every single time. But today was the last i could take it. especially when it was just simply a drop off. Took her 10 minutes just to tell me they didnt have my meds in stock even though ive been getting them there... Even the pharmacy manager said infront of me do we have those meds in stock? and she said yes. then proceeded to say but its at a different walgreens. Now im not sure how she processes simple questions but the correct answer to that question is no. you do not... Even the poor elderly gentlemen infront of me was having issues and its laughable because everytime i go right before its my turn to holler and be dumbstruck, theres always someone infront of me dealing with the exact same issue. So please if someone of actual importance reads these reviews, fix your system, hire intelligent, capable people to run a pharmacy because if you guys havent heard people getting their medication is kind of important. Every time is a mess. Whether its your people have to be told everytime that no maam i was just here a week ago and you have my insurance on file and no it is not expired Or simply not knowing how to work pharmaceutical. I used to get my medication from ACME pharmacies when i was working there and i never had an issue unless it was from my end. which occurred maybe once a year.. not every single month when i get my medication...
