Maria is very professional, kind, compassionate and generous person. She listens and treats all my aches and pain. I have Parkinson’s disease so I have many complex health problems. Her treatments heals my pain and makes my life more bearable and comfortable. She is very patient and makes sure that all my health issues are treated properly. Maria does amazing acupuncture. I started getting regular treatments about 2 months ago. The improvement in my overall health has been impressive. Before my sessions with Maria I constantly struggled with acne on my face, and eczema on my hands. After the first few treatments the acne on my face began to improve visibly: now it is almost gone. My eczema has cleared up extensively as well: my hands are almost back to normal. Besides the improvement in my skin, daily stress from work is much less noticeable, and my general mood before my period is less negative. Overall, I just feel way better. I’ve had acupuncture before, but I really think Maria’s passion for the practice gives her work a noticeable edge in quality and effectiveness. From having received treatment from both other acupuncturists, and then Maria, I can confidently say that her work is exceptional. I received about 12 acupuncture treatments from Maria between November and December of last year. I was having excruciating shoulder pain and I resorted to acupuncture because nothing else worked. Over a period of three years, I tried physical therapy, massage and trigger point therapy, unsuccessfully.When I reached out to Maria, I did not know what to expect, but to my surprise, week after week, the pain diminished until it disappeared. It has not come back.About four weeks ago I contacted Maria about a nagging pain in my left knee. I felt it more going up and down the steps. She started treating me twice a week, my knee feels fine now. I called last Wednesday to cancel my appointment because I had a very bad cold, I lost my voice, had chills, cough, sinus pain and I could not sleep the night before. She suggested an acupuncture treatment for my cold and I accepted. She told me that my symptoms might get worse for about 18 hours but then they would clear up. As she said, I felt really sick that night and the morning after, but I stayed in bed and slept. By night time I felt better and I was able to go back to work the day after. When I arrived at work, I found many of my co-workers very sick or out of the office because of the same symptoms I had. They are still sick. I completely recovered and have not felt any knee pain or cold symptoms this week. I am amazed at how well acupuncture works, not just for pain but for a whole range of other health issues.Maria is very professional and kind. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for an excellent acupuncturist.
