Crunch Fitness - Eagle is the worst managedbusiness in Eagle Idaho.I Moved here a year ago and gave Crunch a shot.Worst decisions ever. I cancelled a week ago.-The manager is always on his phone or shaking aprotein drink. You never see him working-They have absolutely ZERO Covid policy.-Last week there were (8) trash cans catching roofleaks. I heard its been like this for years and everyfall the joke is trash can season is coming-Constantly opening late in the mornings-Many reviews state that parents showed up withchildren to find out child care was erraticallycancelled-No TP in bathroom and the toilets are AWALYSbacked up-The faucet head is broken off in the bathroom-This gym is grossly dirty. Absolutely disgusting-Multiple reviews stating how Crunch continues tocharge credit cards AFTER cancelling.-Machines are constantly out of service for months-Any positive reviews for this gym are paid 4-I saw one review where the manager reviewed hisown gym trying to increase ratings. Maybe youshould have some INTEGRITY and increase ratings by running a reputable gymZERO STARS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! READ OTHER REVIEWS ON YELPDO NOT JOIN THIS GYM

Crunch Fitness in eagle has seen better days. I had a membership pre-covid and enjoyed coming to this gym. After recently moving back and figuring I would give it another shot I was surprised to see how run down the place had become. The roof had water leaks and the bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days. Going to other Crunch locations I was surprised at the difference, If you are looking for up to date equipment and cleanliness, Crunch Fitness in eagle is NOT for you. The pictures are very deceiving of what the gym actually has to offer.

Beware of deceptive sales tactics and hidden fees. The manager Preston signed me up for my membership. When I signed up, he told me I could buy a monthly membership for $5 more a month and I would only be charged $44.99 a month. Preston also told me he was waiving the annual fee. My receipt from signing up showed $0.00 for the annual fee. The first two months went fine and my credit card on file was only charged the correct amount. On the third month my credit card was charged the regularly monthly dues and $52.99. Initially, I assumed there was an error, so I called the Eagle Crunch location. The person I spoke with told me this was an annual fee. I told the person I dont have an annual membership and have only been a member for a couple months. They said every membership is charged this fee after two months and refused to remove the fee. I decided to talk to Preston in-person since he signed me up for the membership and assured me I was only going to be charged $44.99 a month. Preston had a got ya attitude and was very aggressive, stating I had signed for the fee. Preston refused to refund the $52.99. I ended up canceling my membership. When I signed up for the membership, it was at the front counter and I was never shown what I was signing. I was just asked to sign an electronic pad. I trusted that the manager was honest about the membership fees, but have definitely learned from this experience.

I have been to a few of the crunch fitness facilities. This one is pretty nice. They have two tanning beds for customers, but you have to be a certain tier to use them. Downstairs the locker rooms are large and quite a few showers. Also downstairs they have a full size basketball court and another area the size of a basketball court with turf floor covering which allows you to do a lot of crossfit activities.Upstairs is a room of treadmills, bikes and ellipticals as well as a weight area filled with free weights and machines. They also have a small indoor track upstairs for walking and or running. The facility was clean, plenty of cleaning wipes on hand. The only downside is the weight room, it does seem to have a lot of equipment right next to one another, so it seems compact.Still, a very good workout club.

The gym has been under construction for over 2 years and when you try to call for information, they let it ring and ring and hang up on you without saying a word if they do answer! The womens locker room wasnt bad, but the showers were always dingy. I do know that they planned to update them before Covid, but not sure if thats happened. The hot tub was closed a LOT for repairs and before Covid, there were barely any equipment cleaning stations. Their location is great, but the lack of communication has left a lot to be desired. Classes also had trouble with the air ventilation and sound.

Supposedly the equipment was going to be updated but I doubt it ever will.Cancel your membership and go somewhere else, its the price of a premium gym with the equipment and atmosphere of a $5/month gym. Also, the photos on their google maps page are completely inaccurate and absolutely not from this actual location.

Crunch fitness - Eagle has missed the mark across the spectrum- Sanitation at this facility is poor. The locker rooms are dirty, and there is not proper ventilation resulting is microbial growths on the ceilings.- Equipment is not routinely maintained/sanitized. I would find myself frequently wiping others sweat of benches and other equipment.- The organization promotes a month to month agreement. However, when enrolling you, they have you sign an iPad, without showing you the actual terms of the contract, which is an annual commitment, automatically re-occurring, with preposterous cancellation fees. When asked to furnish a signed copy of my annual commitment, they sent a un-signed contract, with a separate picture of my signature.- Gym capacity at convenient workout times results in to many people, and not enough equipment.I would recommend investing in some good at-home gym equipment. It will cost to less, and do more for your health/fitness.

Facility not only could use some updates here and there but the overall cleanliness is very disappointing. I went for about a month off and on as a guest and decided to go somewhere else. The sauna was ALWAYS dirty. I used it maybe 5 or 6 times and every time no matter how much time in between there would still be dirt turned to mud on the floor and random bits of plastic wrappers. Front desk people are an interesting bunch. In the morning theyre on it and at night they just sit back at the desk on their phones. From a business stand point alone thats a waste of company money that could be put back into the facility and not paid to a 20 year old sitting on their phone for their entire shift while they could be cleaning. Another big turn off were the amount of creepers aka older men who like to go to the gym for 3 hours and watch women (and men) workout. I was on the treadmill for 3 minutes while this older man pretended to be on the phone while watching me run. I finally decided to go to a different machine where yet another older man enjoyed my workout as a free show. And unfortunately theyre not open 24 hours so I dont have the option to go in the middle of the night when no creepers are there. Pool is not bad, usually was clean. However, the flooring around the pools could be updated its rough in some spots and in others very slick. Also some people like to shower openly naked in the locker rooms for all to see instead of using a stall with a curtain. No thanks.

My daughter is on the Streamliner swim team that practices at the Eagle Crunch location. They have an Olympic sized pool that can support 6 lanes. I cannot speak to the full list of Crunch services, but can say the pool and bathrooms are well maintained. The bathrooms have showers and lockers. The front desk staff has also been kind and friendly when we come and go for practice. They do have a good sized parking lot, but it is shared with several businesses and can get crowded at times.

I am pretty sure the only way Crunch survives financially is by having teenagers be their managers because they are too financially poor to have a working security/camera system inside their fitness center. My sons backpack was stolen out of a locker and when we called to have them check footage of it they said they didnt have cameras in the locker rooms. Seriously, of course you dont but you do inside everywhere else and they told us they dont work. I would rate this a zero if I had the option. The actual facility was quite nice and the employees at the actual location were pleasant and helpful...but my experience with membership was worse than LOUSY.When I opened my membership I set up auto payments through one of my debit cards. It was on auto-pilot. When Wells Fargo upgraded my debit card Crunch no longer was able to draft from my account. If I had received one phone call or email I would have updated the information and all would be well. Crunch would still have a customer. The best kind of customer I might add...one that attends very rarely but convinces himself that when things slow down hell hit it again...but never does.Instead, rather, I get a collection notice out of the blue from a company from another state demanding payment, and threatening credit damage! Why? I simply didnt know that Crunch wasnt able to draft. I was NEVER notified. I have several debit cards and thought all was well. One call or one email would have let me know that I owed them money and would have gladly paid it and would have probably kept telling myself that I would hit it someday and use the membership and just kept on paying. Now, Im just annoyed, feeling a bit betrayed, and digesting that if I ever do follow through with my intention of hitting it, it wont be with a company that values me so little. Thanks for nothing.

They have been making upgrades over the past couple years, but they have a ways to go. The entire experience would be improved if the front desk staff seemed more professional and actually knew how the machines worked. They often sit behind the desk in the office on their phones. They are the face of the club, so they set the tone for the overall experience.....Additionally, getting rid of weekend childcare doesnt seem to foster family fitness, and has limited our familys ability to workout together.

The place is shamelessly dirty. The restrooms, the equipment, and floors. The equipment is mostly missing parts, worn, or so dirty as to be dangerous. When it rains they move a bucket around because the roof leaks regularly. The staff is inattentive and neglect customers. Why do the personal trainers have offices? They dont do anything except when they (rarely) have a training subject. I have seen cleaner gyms back home in Africa. Wish I could give zero stars. I went in today to switch gyms from Planet Fitness (we live in Eagle and its just too far for us now), and John helped me out. I chose the Peak Plus membership which is $30 a month and my total today was $90 for the enrollment and processing fees. This was a little steep but I went with it after prodding at John about why the enrollment fee was $50 (more expensive than Axiom which actually has a clean establishment with updated machines), he just said its their enrollment fee and continued on. I called back in the parking lot after checking online and seeing that there would only be a $10 processing fee if I had signed up online. John answered and said that until the 6th there is free enrollment and hed be happy to honor it if I came in to sign up! I let him know I had just signed up with him and he said there was nothing he could do. All so he could earn some commission he kept that little free enrollment a secret from me, lol terrible customer service save yourself the hassle and go literally anywhere else.

Before it switched to Crunch Fitness, the staff up front was great and the people here were actually decent people. Now that its switched over, the integrity of this place has gone way down hill. Rather than just replacing the equipment that is in poor condition or broken, they completely removed it. So there is now only 1 leg press machine for people that want to use plates for heavier lifters. My experience with disrespectful personal trainers which I have repeatedly complained to managers about that has never been taken seriously, much less resolved is still ongoing. The managers upfront that I have had several issues with are betond disrespectful and this gym does not care about quality only the number of members they can get to sign up. The bathrooms are disgusting and there are hard water deposits along the floors behind the toilets because they do not hire an actual cleaning company. This gym is disgusting and I will not reccomend it to anyone especially not after how Ive witnessed them treat the guests that I bring. They fail to mention however that on the two month mark you are charged a premium fee of $50 for each account to put back into the gym. So in two months time we were charged $360 dollars! This gym just received 3 million dollars from corporate to put back into the gym, they have spent $375,000 of that on new machines and thats it. Yet they still need to charge a premium fee of $50 just two months into your membership to put back into the gym, which is constantly out of soap, paper towels, and towels. Worst run business ever (by current manger Dave) They are dishonest from from the start and steal your money! When I signed up for a membership I was told the other family member would get a discount and can sign a month-to-month contract only. They lied to us and signed the family member up for a 1- year contract that was double the cost of mine! The catch, they have you sign a screen only when you register and DONT SHOW YOU THE ACTUAL CONTRACT YOUVE VERBALLY AGREED TO. Upon discovering this, I checked the small print on the contract that was emailed to me and not presented at time of signing. To my surprise, they charged me alot more than what was verbally agreed upon. I confronted a manager Dave, who told me I should have paid attention (agree but didnt believe he was a snake at this time; lesson learned) I told him this was dishonest business, and wanted to get out of the contract I verbally did not agree upon, I was told that would be a breach of contract and accused me of attacking his character!. Instead of helping us to resolve the issues, Crunch Fitness took advantage of a young and lied to us about what we were signing, Dave possesses no customer service skills and I dont know why a company would put him in charge of any managerial position. Hes nothing but an old-fashioned swindler that takes advantage of people (great car salesman). I wish I read all the negative reviews before wasting my time and losing a lot of money on this place. UPDATED(again):Have been going here for about 7ish years off and on. This gym was going downhill fast. I have to give CRUNCH credit for making some great improvements.....initially. The first thing you will see walking in this gym is a countertop full of signs apologizing insincerely for out of service amenities and canceled classes. They are always short on help and the help they have clearly hate their minimum wage jobs. Equipment remains broken for months....many months....at a time. Fixed equipment lasts only a few weeks and then remains out of service, again. Dont show up expecting to take a class or be provided with childcare because you will probably be disappointed when there is no staff to accommodate. Times are tough so...they also raised their prices to use said broken equipment and unreliable amenities. Id say look somewhere else.

Gym has been closed for the past two weeks. Rumor is they hit a fire sprinkler when moving in the long awaited gym equipment and flooded the gym. The water continued to flow and flooded the gym leaching toxic fire retardant from the ceiling and walls(?). Prior to the accident, even with daily feedback to numerous staff and the management, the cleaning has been absolutely sub-par since Crunch took over. The womens locker room has bodily fluids on the toilets, hair in the drains, grime on the sinks, counters, mirrors, and a dirty stench throughout. Trying to get a workout in at Lake Harbor and also Meridian yielded a similar lack of cleaning. The issue is clearly the new ownership. Instead of professional cleaning service (they got rid of them), a porter comes to clean during the day. Cleanliness is a basic necessity at a gym. I recommend you stay away completely.
