Ive been lucky to have great eye doctors but Dr. R is by far the BEST! He was so patient with my toddler. Explained everything incredibly well and my son responded to him like he was family. Cant recommend him enough!

As a new patient the experience was very positive. I was greeted warmly (with COVID precautions). The staff were kind and very knowledgeable. The staff also actively wiped down all surfaces. I recommend this office to any new patients.

Ive been looking for a good Optometrist since I moved to North Durham 5 years ago. The Rosenstein Vision Center is excellent. They are friendly, courteous, and have excellent modern equipment. More importantly they listened to me and made sure they did a thorough examination of every abnormality in my eyes. Also their prices are exceptionally competitive.

Visited this office for the first time yesterday after they made some space (same day) due to some irritation that cropped up suddenly. It was hands down the best experience and interaction I’ve had with a medical professional and their staff. Dr. Rosenstein is doing a lot of things well! I’m bummed my insurance carrier will not be covered after this month there. Keep up the great work!!

Ive been wearing glasses for nearly 25 years and this is hands-down the most enjoyable, thorough optometry experience Ive ever had. I felt so cared for and welcomed by everyone I encountered at RVC. Dr. Rosenstein was hilarious and attentive. The desk and fitting staff were so sweet and helpful. I cant recommend this practice enough!

Highly recommend these folks, always a breeze to come in for regular eye check-ups. Staff is friendly, the office is clean and stocked with the latest tech and tools, and Dr. Rosentein is just awesome. He’s funny but professional, puts you at ease and always takes time to show you what’s going on inside your eyes / explain what’s changed since last time (really cool if you’re in to how stuff works). They’re just super helpful, easily my favorite doctor to visit.

I used to really dislike going to the eye doctor. Ill be honest- Im a horrible patient with ANYTHING close to my eyes. Dr. Rosenstein made me feel very comfortable, was very funny, and took the time to explain what he was doing so I wouldnt be so nervous. Not to mention, when I couldnt decide what kind of frames I wanted, the lovely lady (So sorry I cant remember her name!) helped me pick the CUTEST frames! They were a bit outside my usual style but I get compliments on them all the time and I love them so much! Everyone in the office made me feel welcome, comfortable, and created an atmosphere that is a perfect balance of professional and homey. Wonderful office and amazing staff!

Tried to set up an appointment, was told to try somewhere else, they were apparently too busy. Not cool.Yes, I was told you were open from 7:30am to 7:30pm and were very busy, I believe it was Linda? that said, would be better if I tried somewhere else before setting up an appointment there.

Caring, Playful, and Professional Service. Best visit to an optometrist Ive had in over two decades of visits. Youll leave with an accurate new prescription and the lyrics to the best 90s music stuck in your head. Rather than the usual 1 or 2 or A or B during the appointment, Aaron had me singing my favorite lyrics to find me the best prescription. Aaron and his staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable.

Fantastic experience!Everyone there was super nice, from the assistants to the doctors to the secretaries. The place was clean and professional, and everyone knew what they were doing.Dr. Aaron was fantastic - it was the first time Ive ever actually had Fun at the doctor/optometrist. I have been a patient for over 35 years, when they were located downtown Durham. I now live in Maryland but come down for my yearly check-up. I love the professionalism of the staff. I trust Dr Rosenstein and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I have referred many of my local family members to the office and they have become regular patients as well. They told me that they must be good for me to drive all the way down to see him. That sums it up. They are that good. Did not find anyone in my area to compare to them.

Dr. Aaron Rosenstein has just become my new eye care provider. I can honestly say that is hands down the best Ive ever seen. Ive had good ones in the past, and he is not a good one. He is absolutely excellent. He is sensitive, knowledgeable, fun, professional and has an unmatched sense of humor for a doctor. I cannot recommend him enough.

Its weird saying I like going to the doctor, let alone a doctor that puts stuff in your eyes. But I always have such a great experience here. The staff is very nice, and the doctor there isnt too bad either. He takes time to explain things to you, and tells really funny jokes. If anyone is looking for a good place to go, you should definitely go here.

I had an appointment that I had been waiting for 2.5 weeks, and the morning of that appointment, I got a text message saying that it was cancelled. I called the office and was told the provider called out sick. I asked if there was any way that I could be seen that day, as I had adjusted and moved my schedule around at work just to get that appointment. They were able to work me in for my original appointment time that day. I had my appointment with Dr. Rosenstein, who was a great doctor and has done the most comprehensive exam on my eyes. Every employee that I met at Rosenstein Vision Center was friendly, attentive, and made sure that I had a great experience. I have been going to Dr. Rosenstein for over 30 years and wouldnt consider going to anyone else. He truly cares about the health of your eyes as well as you as a person. Once I scratched my cornea on a Sat and he told me to come in immediately. After he treated me, he told me that he wanted to see me again on Sunday. With him, his patient came first.

Dr. Aaron is a good guy and very much up to date on the field. Hes more than happy to address your questions about vision: how to improve it through contacts and glasses, why you might be having problems with this or that. Many years ago I was told by an optometrist that I had to switch to hard contact lens because of an astigmatism problem. Each optometrist Ive had since then, until Dr. Aaron, has simply stuck with that recommendation. Dr. Aaron was the first one to say that I didnt need the hard contacts, and now I am happily wearing the much more comfortable soft lens. I highly recommend him.

From making the appointment to the advice Dr. Aaron gave me regarding the options for my several serious eye conditions, I was highly impressed with every aspect of Rosenstein Vision Center. Between my husband and I we have 8 children. A total of 8 of us are in glasses and/or contacts. 2 of our children have severe vision impairments. We have been to many ophthalmologists over the years in search of help they have even been seen at some of our major hospitals. Their prescriptions were drastically changed when they were seen by Dr. Aaron and the kids both see much better at school. One of them was in bifocals from the time she was 3 and her lenses were replaced with a single vision and over the last 4 years she has had vision improvements at every check up. We are so grateful for their knowledge and patience with our brood. They are always kind and courteous and take special care with the kids in teaching them proper care for their glasses. You wont find us going anywhere else!

I thoroughly enjoyed going to Rosenstein Vision Center! Besides the optimal care and non-invasive use of tools to accurately test ones eyes, you genuinely feel that your concerns matter and that want to help you see your best! Also, imagine a glycoma test that does NOT blow a puff of air into your eye where it annoys you... It exists and their center uses it! They take care of my family and I appreciate it! I recommend the doctors and their awesome staff!

I recently had an appointment with Dr Gretz and she was awesome. Ive had glasses for almost 20 years now and moved around a lot and I can say this was one of the best eye appointments Ive had.The best part is that they have new equipment that bypasses the two worst parts of an eye appointment. No need to dilate your eyes or use that damn machine that blows a puff of air into your eyes. Ive always hated that thing. The newer machine is still not the greatest but its a hell of a lot better.

We are the Giggeys. My husband and I have been under the care of Doctors Rosenstein for years. In our opinion it is the best care you can get. They have the finest of equipment and provide the most thorough exams we have ever had. Were retired. I had cataracts and my husband has glaucoma and is a diabetic. Your eyes are far too important to trust your vision to anyone but the best, which is why we recommend you put your eyes under the care of the Rosenstein Vision Center.

Saw both Robert and Aaron Rosenstien and was happy with the experience. They are both very happy and smiling. My most pleasant experience so far with Optometrists. And I have seen 6 since my eyes were damaged in a car wreck.

There were no standing around and gossiping seen. Their priority seemed to be the patients. I went in as a new patient with a problem and as a work in and was seen in a timely fashion. There was an insurance issue and they took the time to professionally resolve the issue. Dr. Aaron was awesome. I have been going to Rosenstein Vision Center for many years and I have always gotten the very best service. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable and Dr. Rosenstein is just great! I would recommend them to anyone.

I was there because of the excellent reviews which turned out to be a mistake. There was only one doctor, and like other reviews that the doctor and staff were very nice. Be aware, they were trying to build this rapport for sake of getting more money out of customers.I was there getting the prescription for contacts as well as a new glasses. I am not satisfied with either --- the doctor cared a lot about my eyes and asked me to order samples of their new products. This sample pair, ordered without my consent, costed a lot ($200+ out-of-pocket) and was uncomfortable. I ended up with the regular ones the doctor suggested in the first place. The doctor nicely asked me for another visit. The second visit was an opposite experience, I was asked to wait for more than an hour without seeing any patients there, and then I was told I should use the regular ones as opposed to their experimental product. The second visit was cursory and the doctor was not as nice as before, and I realized that it all appeared to be simply a matter of money.As for the glasses I bought from them, the frame was too wide for my face. They forgot to gauge the frame parameters before submitting the order. I had been revisiting there for this issue which has not been fixed till now.For new customers, be aware of these experimental samples they order for you automatically. If you are there getting new glasses, make sure they get every parameter right. I will never go there.

Waiting times are ridiculously long. I was waiting for 40mins in the room for the doctor to arrive, only for her to come and do a 5min Eye exam and go back and arrive 35mins later again for another eye test. Horrible experience!

I was under the care of another vision group and decided I need to make a change and I am glad I am now a patient of the Rosensteins. Top marks.

I met Dr. Robert Rosenstein in 1998 when I went to see him because of severe headaches and vision issues. It turned out I was suffering from the side effects of using Tobradex drops which were prescribed for pink eye. My eye pressures were in the 60s and 70s and the doctor was highly concerned. I was given drops which lowered the pressure after a while. I was closely monitored then and have been ever since. Since this incident the doctor has treated me for the glaucoma this mistreatment caused and so far the application of the eye drops he prescribed has kept my pressures down, and my vision is excellent at this time. This is a good report for a 77 year old with serious eye problems. For up to five years there has been evidence of drusens which can cover the macula and cause macular degeneration but with strong doses of vitamins presciribed by Dr. Rosenstein the progress has been very slow. My new optometrist in Richmond is very impressed with the overall health of my eyes and my vision acuity, and he is very pleased to have the thorough report on my eyes provided him by Dr. Rosenstein. I consider myself extremely lucky to have received such excellent eye care by this physician in this well staffed and well organized clinic.
