Rudest employees. Today I had an appointment. Arrived 15 minutes early. Was taken to the back with the staff to fill out information. Told to sit in the waiting room....then they can’t see me till Friday. I left and went to er. I had an abnormal ekg! Drs and staff were more worried about lunch. The er staff was amazing and kind. By the way it was my 4th time making this appointment because they would change it. Holly is really rude. Dr shaina. Unbelievable! Sad!

It is so sad to see that so many people I have such bad experiences here. I have been attending therapy (individual and group) here for the last 6 mo and my experience has been wonderful for the most part. I have had some trouble with the billing department but that’s about it. Everyone from the front desk to the therapists have been so attentive to making sure my needs are met. They are clearly understaffed which can make for late appts, long wait times, unavailability, but I don’t really mind because I feel like the team really cares about me and my recovery.

I was diagnosed with ADD as a child and now I have a severe case of ADHD as an adult. I went to see Susan Russo and she was Not very pleasant. She yelled at me a few times and after I had bad side effects of non-stimulant ADHD medications Susan refused to give me anything else. I have been on Ritalin and Adderall most of my life and now Im terribly suffering because she refuses to get me the help I need. Susan Russo is not qualified to take care of a cat much less a human. There is NO Way I can live my life like this! Thanks for NOTHING! Seeking Help Elsewhere! UPDATE: Review may change, Susan just asked me to give them a UA which I have no problem doing. Keep you posted!

Had to deal with a nurse there named Khris Agnos - what a rude human being. Shes nasty and says whatever she wants to people with no concern for their feelings. Shes demanding and extremely rude. I hope no one has the misfortune of dealing with this human. Go anywhere else rather than deal with her. Youll be glad you did. Hope I never see or speak to her again.

Its all about the money. They got my insurance and cut off the therapy. I showed up 3 times only to sit in the waiting room. They cant even get appointments right. This can only be fixed by a better (more expensive)office staff.

During a difficult time, Axis Health gave me affordable counseling that saved my life. They were professional and also have a crisis line. Might not be typical, but I had a very positive experience with every aspect of their organization. A good way for people on the fringe to get the help they need.

I am very grateful for this resource in our community. Counseling and group therapy have helped me a lot with my depression. I am bringing a friend in, who needs help with mental health and other things. The staff, including receptionists, have always been friendly and professional. They do seem to have a high turnover of counselors.

Just awful! My husband, daughter and I were having issues so we scheduled to meet with a counselor there. When we arrived they took us into a medical room. Then two nurses arrived and had me sit in a chair and they started taking my blood pressure and weight. At that point, I said we are here for counseling. They then said that I needed a medical exam first so that is what they were doing. I said So youre doing my medical exam with my husband and daughter in the room?! They said Yes, they have already had their exams. They can meet with the counselor while you have your exam. I then said, We came here to meet with the counselor together not separately. I suddenly had a horrible feeling about the whole thing like I was going to be taken away to a mental facility or something. It was so bizarre! My husband also had the same sense I did that this was not being handled properly at all and we all left and never went back. They seemed so incompetent at best.

Extremely rude employees. No sense of being prompt- I waited three hours at Mercy hospital for one of them to show up, only to spend 30 minutes talking with them before I was referred somewhere else. No sense of sympathy or care whatsoever. Overall.... you just get bad vibes, poor customer service, and an even worse mental health service. It amazes me yall are still in business.

I had my wife go in for help which she desperately needs she came home in tears not talking to me she said the lady told her to grab the kid leave me and move to another state (which isnt even legal) first off my wife has had a connection problem with our kid and cant spend much time around her in happy play before the child does something to upset her and she yells at the child storms off and leaves her their crying my child is only 2 1/2. This place needs to do due diligence before making any recommendations thx I send my wife in for positive results or at least a opening to resolve problems and they made it worse horrible horrible horrible they never contacted any family members to collaborate any stories true or false or any attempt to reach out before handing out this ludicrous recommendation which by the way is illegal for anyone to do according to the child welfare act

My daughter ran away from home and in the midst of a mental health crisis was arrested and committed to a program run by axis who assessed her and shipped her to Denver to a homeless shelter for troubled youth... homeless, drug addicted kids...where she was robbed by a staff member and promptly kicked out on the street where she lived in a drainage tunnel for four months. I cannot wait to uncover the individuals responsible at Axis and Urban Peak Denver.

Last week my family was in crisis. My 18 yr old son was feeling suicidal and was dealing with paranoia and delusions along with depression brought on by his mental illness. We turned to Crossroads and Axis Health, and they immediately took us under their wing. From Liza at the front desk showing us compassion and support, coupled with Steve and Christopher assessing my sons state of mind and quickly coming up with a sound plan, you truly got us through this horrible moment. The Axis team took care of everything for us from the ER visit (they personally escorted us to the ER to insure my son was safe) all the way to the end of my sons in-care hospital stay and discharge plan. He was set up with therapists and plenty of resources upon his return home. We are grateful and thankful to Axis for helping my family through a difficult moment.

Let me tell a story.I had decided I needed to get my mental health in order. I went to Axis in hopes to get proper treatment. Im going to skip over how hard it was to even get seen by anyone (and this took up about 5 weeks of my time trying to get in). First thing I was told is they required me to go to a certain number of group sessions in order to be seen for meds. I struggled with making the required number of sessions because they were available at a time I could go (I was a full time student at the Fort and worked full time). I skipped classes to come to the sessions. After I had met the required number of classes I tried getting to talk to someone about medication but because my attendance was too sporadic they told me that if I wasnt going to take my treatment seriously then there was no point. They then referred me to a different group therapy that I could go to that was later in the day. I went to one session, and before the next one I had a complete and utter meltdown. It was only when I completely snapped and contacted the crisis center that anyone actually took me seriously. I was trying to avoid a meltdown and work on my problems and they failed at helping me prevent it. From start to finish it took me 7 months to actually be put on medication. Luckily for me the meds worked and are still working 3 years later, by but every med check after that I felt painfully rushed and the psychiatrists (yes, multiple) spoke over me and rushed me out the door. This is just my story. Dont even get me started on the s***show that is my youngest brother dealing with them, or my best friend who moved back home because Axis put him through the same thing for 3 months and he ended up having a manic episode and decided he needed to live somewhere where he could get actual help, or my other best friend who has had the same issue of dealing with dismissive psychiatrists so she hasnt been able to have her meds switched because they wont listen to her...When it comes to crisis they are amazing, however they have no idea how to prevent crisis in the first place and dont take people seriously unless they are in crisis. It just sucks because they are the only game in town that accepts Medicare/Medicaid or has a reasonable price for out of pocket patients so there is no real need for them to step up their game.

Idiots prescribe drugs that cause major problems, abandon their patients, and have no accountability. Its a proven fact that antidepressants cause psychosis, bipolar and they need to be banned. The best thing for this horrible system to do? Take out a full page ad in the Herald, and perhaps on social media and other locals, telling people the truth about your inadequacies and the dangers of the drugs you prescribe. Then shut your doors forever.Their counseling service and crisis counselors can be compassionate.

I have been diagnosed with a psychological disorder since I was 20 and had great hardship overcoming adversity with this problem. People who share a similar diagnosis look for a system that works. I will admit that the initial diagnosis for prescribed medications was difficult for me as it came in my earlier years and I did not have the skills to assess what feeling good actually was. I will say that once the prescribed drugs worked to the best they could for me, I was able to find more success and deal with better emotional control. There were also self-evaluation skills that I learned through the program which help me out in times of stress. A lot of patients, especially younger ones, are the products of poor parenting and their environment, a lack of education, and focus the blame of their mistakes on professionals who try to help them. I suggest rather than shifting the blame on someone else, you take accountability for your own actions and better educate yourself on your personal state, your life will improve. Like everywhere, all staff members might not be the best for you, but if you feel this way you always have the option of finding one that does and to not give up on them or discredit their services. Ultimately, they are here to help, and when you learn about self-awareness and projection, you might find that the problem doesnt lie with them but with you. I hope this helps as it has helped me and may you make your own luck in life.

I had a psychiatrist tell me that they dont want to put me on medication that i was on 5 years straight because depressed people kind of hang their shoulders like this *slimps shoulders* and kind of dont want to do anything and youre just not like that. Then my medication gets all out of wack because Im on it one month and off it 4 and on 1 month and off 4 months because between Durangos incompetence with Obamacare and the clinics lack of communication with their patients. Today I try to get anyone to help me with the prescription refill and the guy literally is talking down to me with this Im sorry honey but really not sorry. Not my problem attitude. I hung up. Axis needs to be shut down. There needs to be a class action suit primarily by the families of suicide victims that went to this incompetent facility but also with the people currently suffering under their lack of care.

In 2012, after a 10 year addiction to a wide assortment of psychiatric drugs, I was brought back to Durango, where my sister had committed suicide while under Axis care, things went horribly wrong due to their complete incompetence, and pushing of drugs clinically proven not to work, I was abandoned by Lori Raney after reading Robert Whittakers Anatomy of an Epidemic. Durango is sick and this place needs to be shut down forever.
