It was my first time receiving physical therapy at Advantage Physical Therapy and could not be happier. I had my knee replaced and needed to to be sure I was going to a place that had knowledge of PT but also had an understanding of the whole body and how it works together. Between Mike and David I was in good hands. While recovering I hurt my back and could barely walk. They focused on making sure my back recovered while addressing the needs of the knee recovery. Thanks to them I am up and moving again and will be ready for the winter ski season and the spring golf season. Thanks a ton!

Having gone to Advantage Physical Therapy a few times over the past 15 years, I can safely say that they are on par with the best in the industry. Mike has consistently treated my injuries with thorough analysis and protocols each time. In addition, he has a wonderful sense of humor. I missed running and its been years since Ive been active. And my knee was what took me there and strengthening my leg was my goal. I wasnt happy with my workouts as well... but after stepping into the office and my weekly visits gained me some knowledge and confidence . I wasnt expecting anything within myself but Im building muscles in my legs. I also enjoy my daily workouts and running a mile in 12mins. Im so thankful. Im back. Lol. Been to all the Therapist in Durango! Mike and Morgan and their Professional Staff is nothing But The Best! They care about their clients and hire the very best Therapists with lots of experience to make sure their clients receive the proper recovery treatment they need so we can get back on with our lives. The whole point of PT is the relationship, the connection between patient and provider. Advantage PT is one of the rare places left in the PT world where your PT spends the entire session with you, as opposed to giving exercises to a PT Assistant to do with you. I really enjoyed my experience with Advantage Physical Therapy. I tore my ACL & meniscus in February of 2020 and was able to pick my own PT clinic and picked Advantage. Mike, Heather and Jan were all great to work with and made sure I was informed of my progress and the things I needed to be doing to heal and strengthen my knee. Mike and Jan were who I primarily saw after my surgery and both of them were personable, knowledgeable and really helped me make the progress I needed to make. Their staff is awesome and the best part is you are never passed off in your appointment to a tech; you always work with a PT. Highly Recommended!

I had shoulder surgery scheduled for December so I called Advantage Physical Therapy to get a jump on scheduling my post surgery appointments. The office manager called me to let me now how many visits I would be able to use, what my copay would be, and emailed me all the paperwork I needed to fill out before my first visit. After I started my therapy, she took the time to call me and let me know that my plan was a benefit year plan and that because I met my out of pocket expense my insurance will cover all of my visits. I am pleased with the service the front office has given, having surgery is stressful for the mind and body, so to have someone lift some of the burden by doing the legwork on the financial part of the experience is extremely helpful. Every time I go in for my appointments the office staff is very friendly, they ask how I am doing, and they get me checked in right away. They are very COVID conscious, they always take my temperature, and ask all the questions that need to be asked about my health.David is my therapist, he goes out of his way to let me know what to expect, he takes good care of me while I am there, and his bedside manner is impeccable. Advantage Physical Therapy is the only place I would go for PT as they make each visit count in all aspects.

In all cases, Mike T has gotten me back 100% from hip and shoulder surgeries to enjoy the sports I love to do. Terrible experience, my back still hurts 2 years later

I have two remaining visits of a dozen with Mike Testa. In the beginning I was struggling with a loss of mobility stemming from a neck and back surgery. After two visits a week with Mike; coupled with his at-home prescribed mobility exercises, I am able to function better in my daily life with less pain, and better movement. I feel the detailed assessment and personal attention directly aided my speedy recovery. A combination of dry needling, ice/heat, vigorous bodywork, and mobility exercises under the direction of Mike has benefited my life tremendously.

After knee surgery, Jan & Mandy kept me progressing to a full recovery. When I started to get depressed about the slow pace of recovery, they knew how to encourage me to keep pushing myself. I am now riding my bicycle 4 times a week and walking 3 times a week. I would not have made it without their expert help! Thank you so much, you two amazing women!

I enter this place to get physical therapy because of a broken hip and broken elbow. I was worried that the elbow would not straighten out very much, and Amy Testa had it working Within 2 weeks. The hip is strengthening really well, and she is a wonderful physical therapist. Great place to have yourself healed up.

Over the years I have tried five other physical therapy clinics in Durango. Advantage Physical therapy is heads and shoulders above the rest. The quality of care, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff is unequaled. All other clinics I have tried a therapist will start you with some exercises and then move onto another patient or two and may or may get back to you 15 or 20 minutes later The therapists at Advantage devote the full time of your appointment to you, not multiple patients. They are without question, the best in town. A five star practice in my judgement.

Mandy has been a miracle worker with my 8yo daughter! She makes the exercises fun for her and has helped alleviate her back pain. My daughter enjoys her weekly visits with Mandy. :) Highly recommend!

Excellent in every respect from Amy, Jan and Mike, the PTs to the office staff. Everyone you encounter is helpful, skilled and genuinely compassionate and after 6 weeks I am pain free from sciatica. I highly recommend!

Injured my forearm/elbow at the gym. After a thorough assessment, Mike recommended Functional Dry Needling. I have a phobia of needles, but said yes because I know others have had good results. IT HELPED SO MUCH! My recovery time was shortened immensely. Thank you, Mike!

I had a strong adverse physical reaction following dry needle acupuncture at Advantage. The moment I questioned them about it, they dropped me as a client. On top of that, the office manager was outrightly rude. When I switched to another physical therapist in town, I found them friendly and much more thorough in my treatment. For instance, they had me do a number of different exercises, whereas at Advantage I had never done any exercises in all my months of treatment, just dry needling. With so many good physical therapists in town, I would suggest opting for one that puts courtesy and professionalism at a little higher priority than this company does.

I have been a patient at Advantage PT for over a decade through various injuries. Advantage provides not only specific and caring physical therapy but also an upbeat and positive environment. No one likes injuries, but Advantage will help you through and work you hard to get you up and running again.

I headed in after an accident that left me with shoulder , hip and back pain. I was referred to Mike Testa by an ortho PA and am so glad I was. Mike is an interactive therapist who knows how to both listen and respond in the midst of providing comic relief as well. He is a hands on healer who makes you feel that he is absolutely there to get you out of pain and back to your life. He provides continuity in care without passing you off to interns and therefore knows your injury(s) as you progress through treatment. I would highly recommend him. Advantage Physical Therapy is the GO TO WELLNESS/get well from injuries therapy center! Normally, I would go for a few visits and say that I am better and quit the therapy--BIG error! Finally I listened to my awesome PT Amy Testa and stayed in PT for the long haul. Yes, I was tempted to give up. I told Amy probably no hope for me. But Amy replied to continue to reach for the pristine prize of total wellness! I did my exercises, attended my therapy sessions faithfully and added a bit of faith to my belief mentality system and I am so excited--my body is healing. Yes it is a slow process to my ideas but healing is sure better than the pain I was in. Bravo Amy! Amy never lost hope and kept me on track to attain a level of physical acuity I only dreamed of but never thought was attainable after my back injury!!!! Thank you to the PT Amy who was sensitive to both my physical injury needs and the actual recovery exercises that I could achieve without any re-injury. I no longer have to live in life filled with pain. And I am beginning to walk better too. No dancing yet but the horizon is filled with hope for a bright future of living a more normal, pain free life as Amy Testa leads me on a positive path to pristine healing!
