I wanted to thank Dr. Kearney and Nicole. I am grateful for the care they have shown me. I felt right at home as one could in a doctor’s office. They were easy to talk to about my concerns, I felt respected as a patient.All 3 of my appointments started on time and all 3 were easy to schedule and flowed in accordance to my needs. They exceeded my expectation on my treatment options and I am happy with my care outcomes so far. My online patient portal to review my visits and test results is awesome.I recommend Dr. Kearney and his supportive cast(front desk and assistants) and give them a 5 star rating. You won’t find another doctor with such a great bed side manner.

There is no one better than Dr. Lavengood. He is the BEST!! He is always so caring and listens to all of my concerns. Not only do I absolutely love him, but my kiddos do too! He is our favorite and we feel so blessed he is our primary Dr.

The provider was set up well before signing times, to give us the appropriate paperwork and to have us sign in. An RN came into the inoculation room to address my concerns regarding a possible reaction to the vaccine.After we were showing into a room to wait for 30 minutes due to reaction concerns, she came by several times to check on us. The staff was well organized and everything including check out went well.

Been seeing Dr Kearney for several years now. Hes always OUTSTANDING every time Ive had to see him .So very caring about my health. And Miss Nicole at his side they CARE how your doing from your health to your personal life.

Mercy Family Practice was a busy place yesterday evening as they administered COVID vaccines. The process was very smooth from the lobby check-in to the efficient injection and the RN keeping an eye on us as we waited our 15 minutes in socially distanced chairs. Well done.

It was Sunday at noon. My husband and I were checked in, taken to an exam room, all procedures were carefully followed. The staff and nurses were careful, professional, and caring before and after the injection while we waited.Actually I have never had an injection that did not hurt at all!

So I was not sure if I would do this or not, so it took me a while to decide because I am a private person. But I felt like others should know about the life changing things that Mercy Family Medicine has done for me.First of all their medical and mental health therapy are in the same office and they talk to each other about my case and wellbeing. Ive never had this type of service before. As a Senior who is also single, surviving the pandemic is utmost in my mind but I set up a Virtual Meeting with Kelsey Marie Hocker NP for my Medicare Wellness Exam. I have been isolating since the first signs of the pandemic and it was good to talk with her and make sure everything was up to date. I felt like someone cared and that is very important right now. I also appreciate her suggestions for my care in future and willingness to adjust to my desires to first get the COVID-19 vaccine before dealing with anything else. Referral for a counselor appreciated. I am glad she is my NP because she explains things and offers suggestions and then we work out a plan.

Kelsey Hocker is top notch and really takes the time to get to know you and what’s going on. Rest a sure you will be very taken care of when you see Kelsey.

My 5 start review isnt for all of Mercy family Medicine. My 5 star review is specifically meant for one of their primary care doctors, Maria Housley-Koulter. This incredible woman figured out what was wrong with me(I never healed right from a surgery and was having awful complications) in less than two hours. Ive spent the last 3 months going back and forth to doctors up in Durango, in inbearable pain, and all theyve done is run me around like a chicken with my head cut off. I went to Maria for a blood pressure check up, completely unrelated, and it just happened to come up. Instead of ignoring me like everyone else that Ive spoken with in the last 3 months, she said lets take a look at it and I had a diagnoses and a game plan to fix the issue before I even made it home. This woman has already gone above and beyond for me in ways that no other doctor ever has, Im finally on the right road to maybe being able to function like a regular member of society, and for that Id like to extend my sincerest gratitude.

No response on the patient portal message I sent, when the “lead” medical assistant finally called she informed me “they have 7-10 days to respond” it has been 5 weeks. She continued to argue and tell me I should have called and not to use the portal as they do not check it. Will never go back to horse gulch again. Very unprofessional and disrespectful staff.

So thankful for the vaccine in Durango, Colorado. It was so organized I thought I was in Disneyland. Thanks again for caring.

We were very impressed with Dr. Michele Hannigan. She took my husband in as a new patient at the end of the her day to care for a huge lump on my husband’s back that had turned a reddish purple and was oozing. Not only did she care for him and the lump she also took time to got over his medical history with us to ensure his medicines were being properly taken and looked over all his prescriptions and authorized refills for those that needed attention. In my opinion, Mercy Family Medicine & Centura Health conducted a well organized second phase vaccination of Covid-19 for their clients. Very efficient and thorough and ensured on several occasions that I was certain I wanted to receive the vaccine.Only issue was that they didn’t have a bourbon on the rocks after the inoculation.

My vaccine injection experience at Mercy Family Medicine at Mercy Hospital yesterday went very well. No wating, barely felt the injection, and friendly checks while waiting the required 15 minutes after the injection. Only reaction today being a slight headache and a very sore upper arm. Both to be expected I think.

Dr. shortage. Been waiting 2 years to be assigned a Dr. and I have been a patient with this practice for over 20 years. This office subs in PAs and NPs to take on patients, and even theyre booked up. The hospital, family practice and specialists cant keep Drs., they all leave for bigger places after they break in here in Durango.Months long wait lists for specialists and chastising treatment for those on medicare. Sulky, chip-on-the-shoulder lab workers. Medicine for profit/managed health care at its decline - such a shame to see this once awesome place go down the tubes- esp. since this is the ONLY full facility hospital in Durango. Travelers might be better off at Urgent Care for any medical needs. Its doubtful Ill get that Owners Response to this rating. SAD.
