My wife and I go on an annual trip sometime in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This year we chose Durango, CO.After an intense and daunting hike (Columbine Lake Trail #509), we knew we’d planned our massage and spa trip to the Durango Hot Springs Resort and Spa wisely. I’ll tell you, this place is great!First, the massage was really great. I’d been having tight muscles in my back for a while and my masseuse, Hannah, was able to really help!Second, time at the spas was included in the massage combo, so my wife and I spent just under two hours trying out all the pools and spas of assorted temperatures. They said we could stay more than two hours (I guess, being a Monday, it was not so busy they needed to stick strictly to the two-hour time limit), but honestly two hours is really plenty…I would not have felt cheated if they had cut us off at two hours. All this, even without the views and serenity, would have been a nice experience — but add the peace, quiet, scenery, and cool/bright-sunshiny day and it was honestly one of my favorite places to go. It’s definitely on our list to visit again next time we’re back in the area!

Ended up going here twice on our one week trip to Durango. Based on recent reviews looks like the place got a facelift. Not sure what it looked like before, but it’s fabulous now! There are many pools with different temperatures and levels, some are adults only. Yin-yang was fun. The setting is nice too, in the mountains. For us, going 30 minutes before sunset was ideal, that way we could enjoy the setting when there was still daylight and then really relax once the night lights took over. The bar has nice options, never drank red wine from a can before but it was really convenient in the pool, just had to remember to sip it like wine and not like beer :). We will surely be back when we are in the area again.

Was excited to go check out all the new pools. We brought our son w us, not knowing you can only go into 4 pools w a kid. The rest is for adults only. Which I get, but they dont tell you that over the phone or at the front desk. Now I know, we wont take our kid w us next time so we can check out the whole facility.

Sad we had to leave. Enjoyed the energy-efficient atmosphere. Lightening storm was gorgeous 😍 for the night views. Also, saw an active game trail along backside of property🦌. Noisy highway, other than that we had a great time. BTW, my hair never looked so good after a bath. Minerals were the best for me. Pools from 93F degrees to 109F degrees...they had one 55F for hydrotherapy. Loved the options. Wish 109 tub was bigger. 15 people shoulder to shoulder no rotation. Locals rule this place no consideration to share the space in tubs. Try to get there before high demand weekend rush hours 6-10pm. Beware of shower dressing room. Wet floors are present and falling down or slipping is a guaranteed.

This place is so much fun for the whole family! Be sure to bring towels and sunscreen or you will have to purchase there. The pool is a regular pool and the Hot Springs are man-made structure’s around natural Hot Springs. The temps range from about 99 to 109°. And the staff was very knowledgeable on the mineral content of each of the springs. This was such a refreshing stop during a pretty jam-packed vacation. After soaking for two hours my husband and I felt like we’d just had a great night’s sleep. This is a must do in Durango! Don’t miss the Yin & Yang spring!

We were in a bad car accident and had flown from Detroit to Denver the day before and had driven down to Farmington for a funeral. My doctor had said that finding a hot spring could be the ticket to some relief to the constant pain I have been experiencing in my back, neck, and chest.I had never been to a hot spring before, I thought it was just rich old people and boy was I nervous. We booked a time and drove up to Durango for our time slot. Upon entering the front desk staff were very friendly and the entry facilities were very new and looked great. We got a shower and walked out to the pools. The pools are mostly small and laid out overlooking the valley. This means that you have very high chances of getting your own private pool. The pools have their temperatures checked hourly and can range from cool to very hot. We chose a hotter pool to start and climbed in.As I stepped into the pool there was instant relief for the pain, It was actually sort of emotional because I had forgotten what it was like not to be in constant pain. After about 15 minutes I got out and laid on a chair beside the pool and continued to feel relief for some time. We got into several other pools over our stay and it felt amazing. The combination of cool mountain air and warm water was just the ticket to some massive pain relief.

I loved my first visit at the hot spring here that I got a frequency card. A very relaxing environment with plenty of private soaking spots and large pools that are more family friendly. A bit pricey, but you get 2 hours which is more than most other hot spring Ive experienced. At mid-day, shade spots are lacking, so bring a sun hat. Bring your own beach towel too as none are provided.

Absolutely fantastic, well worth the cost! Staff were super friendly, restrooms were clean, and the rent a locker system was pretty nifty. I loved that there were separate areas for families and for adults. I loved being unable to unwind without kids splashing me and yelling. The water was fantastic, it really helped with soothing a back injury I have. Would recommend to anyone in the area. It was my first hot spring experience and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The food truck was quite slow in serving food as a heads up (not the springs fault) but it was nice to relax while waiting.

I could live here 🤤 my husband and I came here with our 10 month old daughter on a weekend vacation and loved it! It has a large family pool with smaller, 100° pools for children and adults and an Adult-Only area with hotter pools and a drink bar. Oh it was heavenly. Very nice hot springs place. It’s developed so it lacks the “natural” feel like hat a place like Strawberry park has, but the cleanliness and predictable temperatures are the positive trade off. $25 seems a tad steep to me, But I guess it’s what the market supports right now so I shouldn’t complain.

This is not a spa per say. When we booked a soak we thought of a serene pools and your typical spa atmosphere. Its not.If you didnt bring your own towel, you need to purchase one of theres for $18. Ouch! The spring is more like a series of Jacuzzis/modern day bath house. There is a kids side and an adult side. However, that was not obeyed by the guests. They did have a live band playing which was a nice touch. And the 2 hour timeframe is a joke.If you want a public pool to chat, drink, and socialize, this is the place for you.

New owners are greedy and do not care about the local community. At the start of COVID they reduced the day pass to only 2 hours and increased the rate to $30. Even now as Durango is reopening, they are continuing to charge these ridiculous prices and have done away with any local discounts. Between the never ending construction and annoyingly loud live music multiple times a week, many people in the area have had enough. Do better Durango Hot Springs, having support from your local community is more important than you think.

This hot spring resort in Durango used to be affordable and fun for the family. That was before it was sold off and the subsequent price hike made it less than affordable and far less fun. Ok, they needed to raise prices to cover for the half dozen new pools and the live music, I get that..but an astronomical $9.00 per person,REALLY? Ohh ok ..lets segue to the absurd $8.00 locker fee if that isnt a gouge then try the overnight rentals. Lets add insult to injury and youll understand why we will not ever return again. Kids are restricted to only a measly two pools.Go to Orvis...Its a beautiful drive, its way cheaper and kids can enter all the pools.Sure, its clothing optional but how better to introduce anatomy and self confidence to the kiddies.

My 11 year old granddaughter & I went for the afternoon. There are lockers you can rent for your valuables and showers and changing areas. There is a gift shop with mugs, tshirts, water bottles, and soap made with minerals. They have a family side and an adult side. The adult side has a lot of tubs on hills with various temperatures. The last one is the hottest with a cold plunge next to it. I loved it! The family side has several tubs with less hot temps for the kids to get the benefits without the heat. They also have a large swimming pool with a waterfall that was fun. Next they have a bucket at the top of a tower that fills up and dumps when full. That was fun also. There is an area with a fire pit and chairs off to itself to just sit and visit. There is a concession stand with drinks; alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Also, there is a food truck that will take your and then deliver it to you when it is done. They have a schedule that shows when music will be playing under a canopy in the common area.
