This doctor is taking advantage of the desperate, drug-dependent, and poor. 90 plus percent of his patients are on medicaid. Now I know why hardly anyone with private insurance goes there. If you have better insurance that gives you a choice...and you certainly wouldnt choose Dr. Washinsky. He boasts that he was an ER doctor, and after years of seeing the suffering addicts, he wanted to help. I call B.S. HE SAW GREEN as in dollars! This place is a cash cow. Better hours, and better pay is what Dr. W. was looking for. He makes you wait forever to see him - again because he knows you are desperate and have nowhere else to go. When I meet with him he reminds me of a scurrying little rat. Everybody else there is really nice but Dr. W needs to hire more people so they arent always rushed and behind. I guess he just wants to keep all the extra cash to himself.

This place changed my life forever. Been there two years and I am a different person now. Please if you need help go here! Dr Dan is a saint!

Time!!! If u got the days, weeks n months to invest in all the loops u have to jump through ,in order to get your meds,go for it!!!But as if having a probation n parole officer, wasnt enough,The U.as and counseling n groups are a whole other burden!Meds obviously are great but ,way to much time out of your life toWaste , only for a monthly script!!! So GOOD LUCK!!!10 months of this and didnt get but 3 weeks of medsI almost over dosed on the chaos that I went through..If any one has any ideas please post... Now Im stuck with once a week at another place, and its also slowly but surely becoming thisInconvenience that was my life... Although its not court ordered,u will be subject to the consequences if u slip up?WARNING!!!

If you need help getting clean this is the place to go. They help with anything you could abuse. Even if you didnt abuse it. Lets say a doctor gave you pain meds after an accident now you withdrawal without them. They help with that. Anything you cant get off without help. The staff is amazing but the doctor is one of the best Ive ever meet. They treat you and your family amazing. Give them a chance and let them help you. This place saves people. Im not sure how every clinic is but this place you are treated like a person with a medical problem, not like a junky. My family member had insurance so we didnt pay anything but they have alot of stuff to help patients without insurance now and Im sure the office knows a few things to help.

Caring about profits more than their patients. Told my son he would be refunded the $350 intake fee yet he never received it. Even for a patient who has been on the program for well over a year and trying to transfer to Durango they want the $350 intake fee when he is transferring from another doctors care. They claim the intake fee covers counseling, a doctors appointment, lab work etc. which they claim is not offered anywhere else. The clinic my son was trying to transfer from has a doctor and counseling and they do bloodwork all for a $25 intake fee. He has received all of the services at the current clinic. This is keeping people from being able to move to the area if they are on the program. I know of at least two other people who want to come here but they are on the program and cannot afford the $350 intake for you . When your money is more important than your patients you shall not flourish.

Dr Caplin and the whole staff were professional and organized!! Lived in Pagosa Springs for 2 years and have seen many so called Dr.s that cant hold Dr Caplins medical degree. If you have a problem this is the place for you to get compassionate caring help. God bless everybody at the clinicLooking forward to living life again!! Steer clear of Pagosa medical center. Not sure if anybody has a real degree in that clinic. I could probably put some scrubs on and be hired as a doctor. They are that bad. They have never heard the word compassion or consideration. In one sentence THEY SUCK. You need help this is the place!!

Im still getting bills from services that they said were covered in the $350 intake fee.Theyre set up to milk Medicaid. Dont try going there with private insurance or self-pay.

Would not have been able to change my life without them.
