My experience with the staff at Isabela Kowal MD is not satisfactory, I am in pain with an ear ache and asked to have a video chat with Dr. Isabela Kowal MD, and told by staff and case worker to go to urgent care. spole with shannon mention my ear is beginning to hurt, and the bottom of the area where my ear is located is very very tender to touch can I schedule a video chat with my primary doctor to discuss with her instead of being tossed from one office personnel to another so that I may speak with my primary doctor who is Dr. Kowal, and was told NO if I did not like it then It would be my choice to get another doctor, or go to an urgent care facility. Then the Case Manager hung up on me. I have visit the doctor and have been a patient of this office for several years. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT DR. KOWAL allows her staff to treat patients like that. Its like they do not care if you are in pain, and do not want to be bothered. I WANTED A VIDEO CHAT WITH MY PRIMARY DOCTOR AND THE STAFF WOULD NOT ALLOW THAT O HAPPEN. Its like the staff is deciding what is going on with the patient instead of my primary doctor. I am not one who takes any medicine, but know when there is an issue going on, and I am never allowed to have a video chat with my own doctor. Whats going on here why has happened to this office that is so insensitive to a patient. And why hang up the phone on a patient because of requesting a video well needed conference with their doctor. I just wanted to speak to my doctor not the case worker or the office staff. The case worker Andra needs to be more understanding maybe this is not the right job for this person, if you treat patients like that hang up on them and do not allow them to schedule a video chat with their primary doctor. I AM MORE THEN POSITIVE THAT DR. KOWAL DOES NOT KNOW HOW HER STAFF IS TREATING HER PATIENTS. SINCE WHEN IN LIFE IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR - THE STAFF DECIDES YOU CAN NOT. WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT THIS PAIN TURNS INTO A MAJOR INFECTION WHICH COULD OF ALL BEEN AVOID IF I WAS ALLOW TO VIDEO CHAT WITH MY DOCTOR IN STEAD OF THE CASE MANAGER OR OFFICE STAFF.

My experience with Dr. Kowal was initially a good one; now I find her antagonistic and unsupportive. I had to file a grievance with Humana after I was diagnosed with bone cancer and she refused to request a second referral to Moffitt Cancer Center to see a specialist about my extremely rare disease (Humana agreed with my grievance and I was awarded a visit with the MPN specialist at Moffitt).
