I wont go into details about everything else awful that went on during my stay at CCR. However, I will speak about my experience as a trans man specifically. I was told repeatedly before and during my stay that CCR was an LGBT+ friendly, welcoming treatment center. And on the surface, that seemed true. However, at the end of my stay I was forced into a sober living facility where I would be treated as and living with women despite repeatedly voicing my concerns and fears around this. It ended up being very destructive to my recovery. Secondly, after requesting all of my records to give to my new therapist, I realized that providers were repeatedly misgendering me throughout my stay. I understand that they still had to use my legal name, but there was no need for them to repeatedly use she/her pronouns when they knew that I use he/him. This wasnt a simple slip of the tongue, as these were written notes and the providers had ample time to correct themselves. Lastly, my therapist at CCR, Rick Buxton, repeatedly stated to me that he would write my referral letters for top surgery. He failed to do so each time I reached out, and eventually stopped returning my texts. Please, if you are trans, consider other options before falling into Corner Canyons trap.

I spent 60 days at Corner Canyon Recovery. The educational insight, the physiological as well as psychological approach to addiction, treatment and recovery partnered with me in strengthening a foundation. I was able to work through their phases and as I built upon each with the support of my assigned therapist I grew in confidence for my recovery journey. GratefulLB

A year ago I was beat up by traumatic events and struggling with my daily life. I live in IL, but found Corner Canyon and flew to UT. That was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The staff challenged me and loved me where I was at at the same time. The people there left a positive impact on my life. If you are hurting and need help for addiction or trauma, they will meet you where your at. You have to put in the work, but if you show up daily and do the work you will see change happen in your life and the lives around you. I recommend you give yourself a chance to have a fresh start. The beginning can be hard, but don’t give up before the miracle happens.

Corner Canyon changed my life. I was in a dark place when I entered the facility in 2020 and my experience there gave me perspective on what led me to that point in my life. The staff cares, the house is beautiful, and the surrounding area is great. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. If you or someone you know is suffering this is the place to go!

Corner Canyon Recovery offers a program that has proven to work for a diverse selection of individuals. Recovery First Sober Living Homes have hosted their clients after successfully completing their residential treatment program. I have seen the changes of these individuals throughout the Intensive Outpatient treatment they participate in while in Sober Living.Corner Canyons Staff is professional, thoughtful, and kind. I highly recommend this facility. I would send my own family here if ever needed.

I’m so grateful for Corner Canyon! I spent three months there and had a wonderful experience. The staff and clinical team are very professional and compassionate. This was my second inpatient and I can say this was by far a better facility. I’m happy to say after learning how to love life and use the tools they taught me I’m still living a great life in recovery.

When wanting to make positive changes in your life there is such a mental part involved to moving forward in that direction. When this change is ready to happen in you, you need to have the right tools to make those changes a reality. I have been so impressed with Corner Canyon. They have these tools in place for your change to happen. They have staff ready that engage with you every step of the way. They understand your individual situation as and they have the programs in place to create the positive changes you desire. As I watched my closest friend transform this last year and today celebrate her one year of success I saw that her desire with the support of this facility made all the difference. She understands the steps its going to take to fight her demons and she still meets regularly with one of the most amazing sponsors to keep her on that path of recovery. I spent three months at CCR for PTSD/trauma treatment, and I cannot speak more highly of my experience!!! The clinical staff is highly effective, the RAs are compassionate and helpful, and the atmosphere among clients felt like a big family to me. I miss them all so much! CCR is trauma-focused and gives you the tools needed to become a more self-aware, happier and healthier version of yourself. Corner Canyon was a place that I never thought I would end up. I came in with a broken soul, had not an ounce of self love but the amazing staff here step by step loved me unconditionally until I could love myself. I was looking at the loss of my job, wife, son which was everything that meant anything to me. They helped me step by step achieve all the things that I wanted out of life and more. I now have been sober for 100 days and out of treatment for 30. I kept my job, wife and son and it’s all thanks to the program and amazing people that are employed at Corner Canyon. They have an awesome facility full of activities, human connection and life skills that are taught to show you how to be the best version of yourself. I owe my life to this place and if I were to recommend somewhere to anyone I love, I would choose Corner Canyon. What a soul finding experience. Not only for substance abuse but mainly the underlining factor, mental health. Me, my family and all my loved ones thank you for saving my life.

I was a patient for a whole 3 months and loved it because it was a safe place to get my mind right. really structured and busy program. I loved how interpersonal this house is. It makes it extremely impossible to isolate and fly under the radar. Every staff member here is a perfect fit for their job title. I love how excepting the staff is. Makes you feel really comfortable to just be yourself during your hardest time in someones life. Have to be open minded to learning and stay humble to move forward. YOU DEFINITELY HAVE TO PUT IN SOME HARD WORK AND DIG DEEP TO GET TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF THIS PROGRAM. You get what you put into in. If your bored your doing something wrong. Beautiful home, fun activities, active lifestyle implemented, messages, non denominational church (if you want a greater spiritual connection, not religious) great fellowship program, healthy environment and healthy food to bring it all together. Honestly one of the most, if not the most healthiest Ive ever been. Mind, body and spirit. I love to come back around for the outpatient program because it keeps me on the right track and not veer off and slide back into bad behaviors. Multiple therapist during groups with very deferent backgrounds and skill sets to really get to the route of your issues and how to overcome them. Overall loved my experience while living here. Good energy, great results.

First off I would just like to state how fantastic the staff and clinicians are here. I grew more from 50 days of treatment then I have in the last 5 years of life. There mixture of Healing the brain and the body is so important. Ranging from teaching life skills to how to live a healthy life! They are so accommodating to any and all needs I had. They arent a cookie cutter program and if you work with them theyll work with you! I couldnt recommend a better treatment facility!! I especially got a lot out of the Equine Therapy,Reike, 1 on 1 sessions with my therapist, group dynamics with peers we all grow together, and the Braintap program/ Bio Feedback to learn more about my body! Also the food is fantastic ive never before had such a healthy diet! but overall its just a fantastic accomodating home like enviroment! Just trust the Process it works if you work it, and your worht it :D

Corner Canyon is Amazing!!!! One year ago today I came into this facility feeling completely hopeless and wanting to die. I hated myself so bad and didn’t think it was possible for my life to get any better. The clinical team at CCR literally saved my life. They were very knowledgeable and helped me see things about myself that I couldn’t see. They helped me discover who I wanted to be and change the things I didn’t want to be. They loved and cared about me when I couldn’t love myself. The most important thing for me was they never gave up on me and was there whenever I needed them. The Clinical team and staff at CCR truly care and want to see people succeed in life. Thanks so much for giving me my life back and giving my kids a better mommy! 😘

Mental Health has had a firm grip on my family. A year ago my daughter reached desperation, and as her mother so had I. They have been a Godsend. The owners and the staff genuinely care about their clients and the families. My daughter discovered her voice and is now helping others! She is a vibrant, beautiful soul and without Corner Canyon the darkness might have won. Not only have they helped my daughter, they have helped other loved ones and myself. After getting stuck in my own darkness, I began participating in their IOP program and individual therapy. When I walked through their doors the owner embraced me, stating that I was not alone, that I was safe and that she was glad I was there. I wish I could give them 10 stars! They gave me a healthy kiddo and they have given my kiddo her mom! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

I absolutely love this treatment facility. The Clinical staff, Management, and staff really care about you, and want to see you get better. Coming here changed my life, and I can’t thank this facility enough for helping me get out of my darkness. I 100% recommend this facility to anyone that is struggling with mental health or addiction.

I just recently graduated CCR and there’s no way I could put into words how much they have help me grow into the person I want to be. The staff always did what was best for my sake even if I wasn’t willing to to show up for myself and they stuck with me no matter. The therapist are so well trained and so good at what they do.

I can’t say just how much Corner Canyon helped make me a better “me”. I feel that no matter what, a person will get out what they put in, but this center really does provide the staff and tools a person needs to be truly healthy. I personally spent over two months there, which sounds like a long time, but the facility gave me the opportunity to stay as long as I needed to be healthy, and that is a provision that most places don’t offer. I would highly encourage anyone who is considering going to go, because if you are thinking about going you probably need to be in a center that will support and provide what one needs to become heathy again. I know that I went there broken and exhausted, and the clinical and program staff provided an environment for me to become more healthy and for that I am truly grateful. Some days will be harder than others, but if you are willing to become a better you for yourself or your family, this is a place that will give you what you need to be successful. I can never discount or show enough appreciation for that Corner Canyon did to help me be better and I truly hope that anyone who is seeking help considers this place as an option, because if you are willing to work, you will find success.

Staff are always super helpful and awesome!! The therapists there have a great unique way of really understanding and explaining addiction.

I had a lot of ups and downs here but for the most part they’re the reason I’m healthy today.

I went to Corner Canyon for recovery from Childhood Developmental Trauma and Complex PTSD. It is the only facility I could find that would heal the brain, re-integrate traumatic memories, and provide recovery skills. The clinical and residential staff are outstanding in their field and provide a loving, supportive environment. My stay at Corner Canyon is one of the toughest, most rewarding experiences of my life, and I will be forever grateful.
