Right from the start Elana made me feel like family. She was so warm, friendly, and kind. I instantly felt at ease with her. Elana was also so kind to my mom who was nervous about having her hair and makeup done. Elana listened to what my mom wanted and worked with my mom to get a look she was happy with. I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day and it was all due to Elana and Athina. All four stylists who came and worked with my bridal party were funny, engaging, and fantastic at their jobs. All of them are artists! LOVED everything about my time with Elana and her girls

I hired Elana Darrus for my wedding September 2021. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Elana was very responsive with emails when I initially reached out, as well as throughout the months leading up to the wedding. Something unique about Elana Darrus is that that a deposit is not required until after your makeup trial, which I feel makes more sense than before the trial. This allows the customer to ensure a good fit before booking a vendor for their wedding. This policy made me feel that this company is not just focused on money, but also on the customer and staff experience.For my trial, Sarah came to my house equipped with a chair, a ring light, and all the makeup and supplies she could need. Sarah reviewed my inspiration pictures and talked with me about what I was looking for. She checked in throughout the process to ensure I was happy with what she was doing. Sarah also recommended lip products for me to purchase for the wedding day when Id need to touch up my makeup. Sarah is very nice, personable, and great at making you look beautiful for your wedding day!On my wedding day, Elana and Sarah arrived early so they could set-up and were finished ahead of schedule. They worked seamlessly and efficiently with myself, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom and MIL. Elana and Sarah executed beautiful makeup for everyone and it all lasted for the entire day, even with a little bit of rain during our pictures. I requested airbrush makeup and it truly didnt feel like there was anything on my face, which was important to me as someone who wears minimal to no makeup daily.Overall, we had a great experience- from communication, to service, to execution, durability, and affordability- we definitely recommend Elana Darrus.Thank you Sarah and Elana!! Im SO happy I chose Elana and her team for my wedding hair and makeup; I booked a hair and make up trial for engagement pictures, hair and makeup for rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Each time was perfect. Elana is incredibly responsive with emails and is thoughtful and helpful with scheduling services that matched exactly what I wanted, even when I was being indecisive. Vesnas makeup skills are topnotch (I looked like myself which was important to me), and she is a friendly, kind human (exactly what you want on wedding day!). Athina did a killer job each time she did my hair. She made adjustments with my feedback until I was fully satisfied and took on extra clients on wedding day when we were behind schedule. She was really skilled at putting in clip in extensions, too. Highly recommend!!

Working with Elana was wonderful. She was able to connect me with an amazing stylist and makeup artist. Elana made this process seamless. She, as well as the artist and stylist were extremely responsive and accommodating. I worked with Vesna (makeup) and Athena (hair) the day of my wedding and they were amazing. Very knowledgeable, talented, understood what I was looking for even though I didn’t have a super clear vision, and very accommodating. They were on time the day of my wedding and stayed to ensure myself and the bridesmaids were all set before photos. Myself and my bridesmaids said at least 5 times how much we loved our hair and makeup and got so many compliments from guests. I would highly recommend working with Elana and her team!

Elana and her team were perfect. Elana kept in contact with me the entire planning process and was always easy to get ahold of. She made the process so smooth and easy that I almost forgot I was planning a wedding because there was no stress at all with her.Her team though are the real heros. Athena and Jessica were able to come out to my location and provide me with hair and makeup trial at reasonable price! I appreciate the fact that I was not treated any different as a customer for only choosing the makeup service. Jessica, the makeup artist, provided me with the perfect amount of makeup. I did not want over-the-top glamour. I wanted something more natural beauty taken up a notch. Jessica delivered. I loved my makeup. It was not overdone. I did not feel like a clown on my wedding day. I genuinely felt beautiful. She was very polite, punctual, and awesome to work with.

Highly recommend! Their hair and makeup team is very professional and everything was perfect from start to finish! Plus, Elana and her team were able to come back and do some touch ups for me and the bridesmaid before the ceremony since we did the photo shoot beforehand. My hair and makeup stayed in place the the entire 15 hour day I had! Even during my photo shoot when we were all posing in the blazing heatwave we had that day!

I had the privilege to have these three lovely ladies help myself and my wedding party get ready on my special day. Stephanie, Vesna, and Athina. Truthfully, I could not have picked a better company to help us all get dolled.Elana coordinated everything and was extremely organized and friendly. I made about a thousand changes (because more and more people ended up wanted to get their hair and makeup done because they all saw my trial pictures) and Elana easily added more people onto the list to get their hair and makeup done.The schedule was perfectly planned out allowing us to have a nice and relaxing morning before the wedding but more importantly, we were all finished on time and everyone LOVED their results.Lastly, I just want to express how well Stephanie, Vesna, and Athina made our vision come to life. All of the women in my wedding party are very natural and do not care for any crazy hair do or loud makeup. All three women listened and made us look natural and beautiful.Again I couldn’t have asked for a better company. They nailed everything out of the park and I am forever grateful.

At the last minute, I needed to find a hair stylist and makeup artist as my original hair/makeup person was exposed to COVID. My friend, who had worked with Elana and her team previously, highly recommended them. I was in a pinch as I was less than one week away from my wedding date, so I took a leap and booked Elana and didnt even do a trial! I sent Elana inspiration photos of the look I wanted to achieve and she was able to secure Athina for hair and Jessica for make up. Elana also reassured me that her team was taking COVID precautions and following safety guidelines. The day of the wedding Athina and Jessica showed up right on time and they did my hair and makeup as well as my moms, MOH, SIL and aunt. Everyone looked STUNNING and the ladies were SO happy with how their hair and makeup turned out. I would highly recommend Elana and her team and I cant wait until my next event so they can glam me up again!

Looking for a hair and makeup artist when youre getting married can be a difficult experience! A few months ago I saw my friends hair and makeup in her wedding photos and I immediately fell in love with Elanas work. Elana and I had been emailing back and forth and today we had my hair makeup trial. My experience was just awesome!!! First, Elanas home studio is gorgeous. The space is clean, professional and very welcoming. Elanas team is just fantastic and the hair artist she brought in did an amazing job with my hair. I had a look I found online and she did a great job re-creating the look in a way that represented my taste. My makeup was everything I wanted it to be and more. Elana worked with my request for a casual and natural look and it turned out GREAT! I would add pictures but I dont want my fiance seeing them quite yet, so Ill be sure to add some after our wedding day. Very unprofessional and terrible at communication. Canceled on me last minute right before the wedding. Unless you want someone to flake on you, would not recommend... save yourself the headache!

Kristina did my client’s makeup for her wedding this past Saturday. She did a wonderful job. In particular, the bride’s eye makeup was stunning and it was very similar to a picture the bride had previously selected to be imitated. Kristina did a wonderful job using airbrush and also applied false eyelashes. I was impressed with how careful she was to ensure the bride was comfortable wearing the lashes. She was focused, pleasant and clearly determined to provide excellence in service. Pre-service communication was also top-notch. Elana was diligent in ensuring that everything went perfectly for the bride. I highly recommend this company.

Outstanding! Im a cosmetologist myself, so having someone else take over and do my hair and makeup was terrifying for me! The moment Elana and Maria went to work at the trial, I was at ease! They are so well trained and know exactly how to make you feel comfortable and beautiful! Elana alwayos responded quickly to emails and questions and was so professional and personable! My hair and makeup lasted the whole entire night and a lot of my bridesmaids slept in their hair and it still looked fantastic in the morning! They were able to make adjustments as needed and made my morning so much fun and stress free! Thank you!
