**Updated 19 July, after contact from hospital, information at the end of this post.**We have lived in the area on and off several times due to military orders and have always used Flowers. What was once a clean, hospitable place now reminds us of the setting for a post-apocalyptic video game. The floors in the entrance and waiting room look more like the floors in an old garage. The receptionists (this visit) were very unprofessional, one even walked through the waiting room of patients without a mask. To add insult to filth, the floor in the room they put my step-father in was covered in old needle caps, the clean gowns/ sheets hanging from the cupboard were touching the dirty floor and there was even a skittle on the floor near more needle caps. The fact that we have been here for roughly 4 hours isnt the issue (yes, Im writing it from the room at 0125 in the morning). The issue is that Im worried that the Waffle House we went to while waiting has been sanitized more recently than this place.Update (0223 am): Still here, still looks like a cross between a construction zone and a crime scene but finally had an encounter with one nice receptionist. However, the reason for this edit was something my husband and I saw while waking out of the Emergency Room.A nurse was wheeling a very old person, whom was lying in the fetal position, from one room down the hall, filled with carts and random things, to their original room. During this time she banged the stretcher into many of the carts and walls. While hitting one cart, something that resembles an air pump regulator, fell from the shelf onto the old person. The nurse casually pushed it back onto the shelf and continued on without even checking on the person, continuing to bang them into the same shelf again. This speaks volumes for the disarray and clutter but broke my heart to see.19 July Update:I was contacted via email requesting a verbal conversation the day after my first post. I spoke to a representative for the hospital/ nurses/ E.R. The woman I spoke with seemed genuinely concerned with the issues I brought up. She assured me that they have the same expectations that we do regarding emergency room visits, no matter how many people were admitted.I cant yet change my review or rating, but I hope to have some proof in the future regarding the things she and I spoke of. That way I can continue to, honestly and with a clean conscience, recommend Flowers to others.

I just called up to Flowers hospital to check on my friend because she was in so much pain and hadnt been seen in the back for over an hour. The lady was so rude telling me that it was other patients in the back that had been there longer than my friend. So I said, well yall need to go check on them too.She got mad, started to argue and hung up in my face. I was calling because I was concerned and they hot smart with me and was beyond rude. This hospital needs to hire people with compassion.

My 88 year-old mother was taken to the emergency room this afternoon by ambulance. Thank goodness things were not nearly as bad as what we had thought. They were super quick on running all the scans, blood work and anything else they thought she might need. Everyone we came in contact with was super nice and very professional! Dr. Day was exceptional! He came in and explained everything to us in great detail. He answered every single question we had and in a language that we could understand! Cant get much better! 😊

I was at Flowers hospital emergency department on Friday 2-14-2020. I arrived at 10:15a.m. and wasnt treated until almost 2 p.m. The only reason that I was sent to the ER was because I am pregnant and my OBGYN couldnt give me fluids in their office. When the nurse finally got to me they hooked me up to an IV and to Reglan and put me in a waiting room with no nurse call button or a phone to reach the nurses station. So I started having a reaction to the Reglan and I couldnt get any help. I stood in the waiting room in the back of the emergency room and called for a nurse for 15 minutes and no one came... I finally just removed my IV and left the hospital. The nurse (Courtney) then called my spouse and stated that they had to take priority patients first and that a pregnant woman who is dehydrated was not priority. I have reached out to Amanda the director of the emergency department with no return calls.

If I could give a negative number I would. I brought my son to this ER. While in triage a Wallace student interups Triage nurse, who already was being short and rude, to laugh and brag about something she did. When we get to room I asked a nurse where I could buy some coffee due to being up most of the night. She was very kind and told me I didnt have to pay for it and showed me where to get it. While I was getting my coffee another nurse named Kathleen came in asked if she could help me in a very loud sturn voice when I asked for a stirrer she yelled I wasnt supposed to be in there. When I tried to tell her I asked she kept yelling at me. We were told my son had a 6 mm kidney stone and they were sending is home. Nurse Rita was nice and the receptionist that took insurance was really nice. Our NP was very rude. When I asked a question I was treated like a I was a nussance. Treatment was HORRIBLE. WILL NOT TAKE MY SON BACK THERE! Theres a lot more to tell but I thought this was long enough
