Nice and Ckean!!! Good Staff! I was visiting from out of town, went a couple of times..Always Nice Staff!!

This is the worst job I have ever had they don’t care if your a good worker if your not on time being 1 minute late you will be fired no exceptions I hate this job sherif Albarkat and Melissa Martin are the worst management team they have poor communication and have the worst way of showing appreciation.

There are some policies for the Detroit location I honestly didn’t know prior and a few I don’t understand. Not that I don’t agree—I genuinely don’t understand them. I try to be a great member or guest most everywhere I go and am relatively understanding and adaptive. The staff member who approached me today seemed to think I was being argumentative but I didn’t know how to acquiesce to her request because I wasn’t entirely sure of the protocol and instead she just kept repeating herself very brashly which was super disconcerting and made me hella uncomfortable. Especially when she hunted me down a second time after I thought I’d corrected my mistake and AGAIN, didn’t allow for a conversation, just cut me off and then walked away repeating herself.Super frustrating. Has me reconsidering being a member at this location.

Nice facility overall but has definitely gone down since COVID. Im getting concerned about the cleanliness. I left a used washcloth here by mistake because it had fallen under my chair in the changing stall. Came back a week later walked by and noticed it was still there in the same spot. It was very easy to notice. No toilet paper in some of the bathtoom stalls on more than one occasion. Also on a different day I noticed a lot of some kind of white residue on one of the tables in the changing stalls. Two days later went to use the same stall...still there. So not sure if locker rooms are being cleaned. If things we CAN see are not being cleaned just imagine whats really there that we cant see.

Ive been working out here for a hot minute and to be honest the staff is very welcoming. They remember everyone. The equipment is cleaned regularly and everyone is cool with keeping a good distance. Its only been a few weeks and Ive met some good people here. Its worth the drive out! Plus Meijer is right next door! I get my workout and then I pick up some apples and grapes! Its the win for me.

Crunch fitness is way better than this gym they have better equipment heavier free weights,more friendlier workers.

First day here and Im loving it! I got some ways to go and with great determination, I will surely get there.

I went for the first time as a guest and it was great my only thing is that Im new to working out and I wish they had some Trainers or professionals there just to help out the new people!

I get a good hour and a half workout each time I go. The atmosphere is good, the equipment is nice, and the people that attend are friendly and respectful.

Its a gym. Pretty annoying that they close really early on Friday Saturday and Sunday. You dont have to be 24 hours but this is lame.

I didnt know what to expect when I first got there, but, after talking to the staff while registering, I began to feel good about being there. The staff is so amazing, they are so courteous and helpful. I felt so comfortable while I was working out and thats a great feeling 😊😊😊😊.

Decent COVID safety measures in place. Very glad to be able to get back to working out!Their app is handy in that it includes a Crowd Meter that registers how many people area in the gym at a given time.

I just joined on Saturday and worked out on Tuesday no problem. I went to workout this morning because they’re supposed to be open at 5am. I got there at 655a and they weren’t open. I spoke to the only other person in the parking lot who said that this happened last week as well. This is bad for business.

Smaller than others but its cool

The staff is very rude. And they dont honor the planet fitness guest check in. They wont let you check in with the guest feature on the app unless the member is standing right next to you. (Yes, even if the member is at the gym, they have to be physically standing next to you get in the gym)So everytime a guest wants to check in, a member must stop working out and meet the guest at the front of the store to check them in. This defeats the purpose of the guest check in option on the app.This is only location that doesnt allow guest to use the app check-in feature.

I have always liked this gym, but I called to cancel after COVID hit and was then charged two months after, plus fees. I asked for a refund or partial refund at least and they told me my membership was never canceled (it was originally cancelled verbally by phone), and it would take a while for a refund to be approved. Ill likely never see that money back and it was $70+

I visited this location for the first time yesterday. Very friendly staff and the facility is clean. The only thing that was disappointing is they don’t have the total body enhancement machine. That’s the machine I enjoy the most at planet fitness. Hopefully, they consider adding the machine there in the near future.

The trainer is excellent, he will go over and beyond to help you achieve your targets, whether that is psychological mentoring or paying the utmost attention to details!

It’s really disappointing to wake up early before work, leave out the house in the cold and the gym is closed WITHOUT any announcement. Please be more professional...

In the midst of this pandemic, I was initially skeptical to go workout. However, it seems to be very clean and someone is always cleaning all of the equipment. I become uncomfortable when customers drop there mask below the nose. I assume theyre doing this to regulate breathe.

I will never return to this facility again .I asked how they could start recurring payments with out my permission ,I informed them I cancelled before Covid was in full swing in Feb. My check in was Documented .They however did not cancel and started taking out Payments again in Sept. When I called Dec 17,2020 and spoke to a female associate she told me I should be Professional and hung up on me after raising her voice Practically calling me a Lie.I called back and spoke to someone who said their name was Mike who would not supply a last name. This Person started to raise his voice and I asked him not to raise his Voice He then said he was Cancelling my Membership and also hung up. Rude, Unprofessional , dismissive and somewhat Abusive in their approach. I should be refunded any Monies From Sept. to December for this Mistreatment. This was the Royal Oak Facility in Michigan. Some things can be overlooked and relations can be mended and Forgiveness attained. However when you are paying for a service Disrespect can never Tolerated.

Staff is very nice.

Great staff but way too crowded to ever get a weight a-frame machine. Only do the 8-mile location if youre fine with treadmills and non-bench machines or get ready to get in line. This location also closes at 10pm so if youre looking to workout late you may want to look elsewhere.

I absolutely love this gym, every location thus far has been a good experience. I particularly enjoy The 8 Mile location, the design and set up is a bit different than others, and nicely done. Also its consistently clean at 8 Mile. I would love to see a HITT section with the tires included.

I have been to Planet Fitness gyms around the country and this location is one of the best. I’m glad I tried it out. I’m not going to lie but I was initially apprehensive because of all the stigma surrounding the “8 Mile” moniker. But I was pleasantly surprised!!! Great staff friendly and attentive, and great members very warm and welcoming!!! Every location should use this one as a model.

I joined Planet Fitness just before Labor Day. The Detroit location is where I like to workout. The Customer Service provided by Thomas is always EXCELLENT! Thomas is very engaging, personable, professional, always speaks to each customer and is extremely helpful. I enjoy receiving consistent Customer Service like this because its hard to find and very rare.

This Gym is a great place to workout. They have great equipment. It in a good location close to shopping.

I think that Planet Fitness is one of the best if not the best place to be to get fit the fun way. It is literally a judgement free zone and I love it. Theres a decent amount of variety in the gym equipment, a cleanliness to the place, good membership pricing, and friendly staff. All around its a good gym for the price. I would recommend buying the Black Card membership so you can get all of the perks, discounts, and VIP treatment. The only thing is the occasion naked person in the mens locker room 🙄🙄🙄😯 I wonder what its like for the females locker room 🤔🤔🤔

I would love to give it a higher rating. The problems are an easy fix. Please add more calf machines! One kind just isnt enough. Please add more tricep exercise handles. If someone is using one you want, you have to wait. Please add more weighted plates. There just arent enough! Do these things and Ill check back for an improved rating.

This planet fitness is actually pretty nice for being where it’s at. All the equipment is new and well maintained, the weights are always restocked, and the staff is really nice.Not sure what everyone else was complaining about, I’ve never had an experience with any of the complaints that were mentioned and I come here all the time.Only complaint is that it’s not 24 hours and that it shuts down really really early on weekends. 7pm? It’s a little too early!

This PF is clean . The manager is friendly and helpful. I like going here ..I dont like that I cant bring a jump rope in ..its a gym so I thought. Other than that its a cool spot...... i love the response i got from planet fitness to my review. It was so warm and fuzzy .. instead of telling me jump rope outside try and see if you can stay open later 15mi 14mi oak park all are in shopping centers all stay open late or 24hr . Is it the location or the people or the landlords the reason i have to travel past your to go workout. Sat and Sunday your open to 7 ?

Ive been working out here for over a year now and this gym is ok.. pretty small, machines are so close its like classroom desks. Its very nice in the morning/first half of the day but it gets EXTREMELY crowded and very loud anytime after 4-5:00. Safari and Tori are two of the nicest ladies youll ever meet!

It was Kool1st day back

Called yesterday at 6pm to inquire about a membership. My gym just closed. I was told the one time fee was $5. I thought they were just giving pricing daily, odd yes, but whatever, I am not familiar with Planet Fitness. I was not aware that was promotional pricing. Called today, 9AM, as I had intended to sign up, workout and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed. I was told the start fee is now $30(ish). It’s a matter of principle. Can’t do it. The gentleman on the phone said there was nothing he could do, and speaking to management would not help. Best I could do was to check back after this “promotional period” ends. I would imagine this is not his fault but frustrating nonetheless. I will continue my search for a local gym.
