Down 2earth, relaxing, pleasant, peaceful & very supportive to children. Which is always a plus n my book. Ive always felt comfortable there. And that is y I plan to go again. Thank you Y.M.C.A.

They have a parenting class for fathers, after 4 weeks you get a year membership to every YMCA and after 8 weeks they help you with your child support. Amazing resource for those that need it and helps you to better understand your children.

My husband and I are from out of town and just visited the John R. Grubby Community YMCA. We were super impressed with the cleanliness of the Y. We were most impressed with how friendly and hardworking the staff was. Super helpful and attentive! If we return to the Des Moines area we will definitely visit this Y again!

Friendly staff. Nice place for my son to play basketball and me to workout. Only down fall needs some improving and updating in everyday. I had the pleasure to visit waukee, Windsor heights and south side oh yea and down town. Ours cant compare? ?? See this as a problem.

Amazing staff. Incredibly underfunded. The Wellmark YMCA is not even 2 miles away from this one, yet theres no comparison. Something isnt right here...

The women here are very mean i had a bad day and i came to the y i didnt feel like speaking so i told them i was sick. They booted me into the cold and kicked me out. I wasnt actually sick and the lady wouldnt believe me. I went home and began to cry 😢

Many cultures and ages use Grubb Y. Me personally, this campus was old Dowling High School, while I attended St. Joseph Academy
