My experience was excellent. I felt dizzy frequently and had to take pills to stabilize my health. Several days before a 10 day cruise from San Pedro, Ca to the Hawaiian Islands, I developed a nagging pain in my right Big Toe which I contributed to stubbing it on a rock during a recent hiking trip. However, the day of embarking on the Cruise and walking up the gang plank of the Princess Star Cruise Ship, I knew that I was experiencing increasing radiating pain throughout my right toe/foot with ever step. NOT A GOOD START TO A CRUISE/VACATION! I was miserable walking around the ship. On the second night and after limping back to my Cabin, several leaflets were left in the Cabin referencing future events and On Board Treatment/Spa amenities. Dr. Martina Strums (Martina) treatments (Acupuncture) were among the leaflets. I have always been a jock and continue enjoying snow skiing, surfing, swimming, etc. Over the years, injuries/ surgeries, for the most part, have been corrected by the Orthopedic Professionals. Needless to say, I was skeptical that Acupuncture would relieve my toe/foot discomfort. However, I met with Martina and after her examination of my toe/foot she suggested a regiment of Acupuncture Treatments. I was religious in keeping my appointments/treatments with Martina. After two days of her Treatments I had 80 to 90% RELIEF! I was able to dance the night away and walk around the ship virtually PAIN FREE! By the end of the Cruise I was 100% pain free. I became a Believer! What a great experience! I cannot recommend Martina Sturm enough. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of acupuncture at first. After a botched Botox job that left me nearly blind in one eye, along with debilitating migraines that severely impacted my life, I was ready to try anything in hopes of relieving my symptoms. That’s when I found Martina. Martina sympathized with my condition and was able to give me relief and explanations. You can tell she is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about her patients. After spending countless hours at the hospital, visits to the ER, and learning that my eye had suffered an immense amount of inflammation and that I may never see again, I was terrified. The doctors stated that I might have an autoimmune disease, or rheumatoid arthritis, or even a bacterial infection. They were resistant in acknowledging that the migraines, the eye inflammation, and the Botox were even related (even though this all happened IMMEDIATELY after the Botox, and I have never suffered from either symptom prior). I was exhausted from seeing doctor after doctor and taking countless rounds of steroids and antiviral medications only to have no answers. I even started to get a bleed in my GI tract from the countless NSAIDS I was pumping into my body. I finally found Martina and she explained to me that I could be experiencing toxicity from the Botox. Finally, an answer that made sense. After the first round of acupuncture, my migraines and sight improved almost immediately. I have been seeing Martina for about a month and my migraines have yet to return, and I can see again!!! I gotta admit, I was skeptical in the beginning, after seen a bunch of doctors, done scans, MRIs and using tutors, creams and other stuff I had ZERO improvements on my right shoulder. Ultimately Doctors recommended mild invasive surgery to which I gave up and decided to live with the pain and limitations of the case. A year later I met Doctor Sturm and as she was talking and explaining, explaining and talking, I’ve just provoked her by saying “I bet you can’t fix me” of course she took that bet and...boy I was proved wrong.
