Dr Frey elaborated on my condition in a very clear discussion. His xray images were used to show my current situation and he was able to give me probability of my future. Back pain is inevitable for many people and it is important how to lessen the pain and through individual decisions to follow through with his advice. His skill is obvious and his feedback is gentle but clear. Hes an excellent teacher and he listened.

I had an appointment with Tom today to discuss the recent CT I had. I came in with a lot of questions and as usual, I left having answers for all of them. I always feel heard and I appreciate everything and everyone in this office. Im a veteran having had 8 spine surgeries with Dr. Frey and the team. I feel there is no one better out there and am grateful for each person who works there.

I see Dr. Frey for cervical spine problems which I have many. I had to wait awhile to see the doctor but when you sit down with him you understand that he takes time with all patients as he did with me. He explored all options, and since I am older and want to avoid surgery, he came up with the best plan for me that I am happy with. I see Dr. Frey because I consider him the best!

The receptionist was very friendly and professional as was the X-ray technician, and Dr. Frey is always very informative, helpful and proactive regarding my condition, giving me good information to maintain my spinal health as I age.

Dr Frey is so kind, compassionate, and caring. He takes time to explain everything. He is funny and personable and makes you feel at ease right from the start. My first appointment with Dr Frey was very good all of my questions were answered and we came to a joint decision on surgery.

Mr. Sanders was awesome. I had written 3 huge paras describing how pleased I was with visit. Cant remember what I wrote.Mr. Sanders had read my chart. Asked all the right questions. Since I had never seen a spine specialist before, he explained issues with my back.He is taking a conservative approach to treatment. He ordered xrays which clearly showed my degenerative disks and ordered an MRI which will show where to inject into the SI, HIP, lower back.His instructions to the physical therapist were very detailed and included some alternative therapies that I think will save me from surgery.I was nervous seeing a spine specialist for my back but the specialists approach sounds good.I look forward to being pain free. He also discussed an issue with my right hip that needs to be addressed with my surgeon. John shager

Lets face it, no one wants to see a spine doctor BUT when you have to I can wholeheartedly recommend CCSI. Great staff. Super knowledgeable. Terrific bedside manner. Attentive and never rushed. I feel like I have the best care possible.

Second post-op appointment -- all went well. Making progress with the fusion of L4, L5, & S1.

I had severe back spasms and pain two days ago and went to the ER it was so bad. I called to make an appointment, and the lady who answered the phone told me the soonest appointment was in September (today is July 13), and I asked if there was anything sooner at least a telehealth option to speak to a doctor about my situation since this was very acute and the ER advised I get a specialist opinion. The lady said they don’t do telehealth, even though it says on the website. Onto another doctor I guess.

Dr Frey and his PAs are great. I trust him. I am a retired RN. I did my research on him years ago. I have recommended him many times.

I just visited the office for an interim visit. Tom S., P.A. was outstanding. He very carefully went through my XRays with me, explaining everything in understandable detail. All of my questions were answered in a patient and unhurried manner. The visit began with special X Rays taken right there in the office. The Radiology Tech was kind, skilled, and friendly. From start to finish, from Kathy at the front desk to the medical assistant who checked my vitals and settled me in, I felt I was in the hands of a caring, professional team. I have seen Dr. Frey on 2 previous visits and immediately experienced this same patient-centered, unhurried interaction that each time when I left , I felt I had been listened to and all my concerns addressed. I am planning to have surgery in the not to distant future and each experience with this practice confirms for me that going with this team is a very good choice for me!

Great doctor. Conservative with health plan and I have a lot of confidence in his ability to care for my health. He took so much time and answered questions and was extremely patient. I am pleased to be working with him and his team to obtain the best medical care available. Other doctors should take lessons from him.

From the very start of going to this office the experience has been wonderful. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. Dr Frye and Tom are my heroes, I suffered in pain for almost seven years and being 75 years old nobody would listen to me except this office. They found what was wrong and did major back surgery, now no pain. I feel I was sent to them. I will always be grateful to them and for them. I now know I’m not crazy the pain was real. Dr. Frey has changed my life for the better! I couldn’t walk very far or stand for more than 2 or 3 minutes. He told me that after surgery, all the pain probably would not be gone, but I’d be able to do some of the things I’ve wanted to do for so long and hadn’t been able to. Here I am, 3 months post-op and not having back pain and able walk and stand like I haven’t in years! I just had my 3 month post-op appointment and it went very well. He said my fusion looked healthy and was doing well. He KNOWS what he’s doing! Thank you SO MUCH, Dr. Frey!

PA Tom was exceptional. He listened carefully, reviewed images and other supporting documents thoroughly and rendered a justifiable plan. His confidence, demeanor and unhurried approach was refreshing.

My appointment with Stephanie Klutz PA, went very well. She is very competent and compassionate. I feel that I can trust the team at comprehensive spine and Feel like Stephanie is looking out for my best interest, to make sure I get back on my feet and 100% restored to health.

After exhausting all minimally invasive procedures to eliminate my lower back and leg nerve pain, I contacted Colorado Comprehensive Spine center. They were nothing short of awesome in all respects. I was able to see Stephanie Klutz, Dr Frey’s very competent PA , within a week. She thoroughly assessed my issues and immediately started the process toward relieving my pain. Ultimately , I had to have a spinal fusion of L4-L5 from Dr Frey. The surgery has been so successful. My nerve pain is completely gone and after 3 weeks post surgery, I’m walking 2-3 miles every day and feel like a new person. Every member of this office was kind, friendly but most of all competent. They returned calls, addressed my issues but most of all— cured me! I would highly recommend Dr Frey and Colorado comprehensive Spine surgery.

My first impression will be my last. I spoke to a SUPER RUDE woman when I called their office to confirm the referral order from my doctor. She was very short spoken, tried to dismiss me right off the bat, and then tells me I have to get mri records and all together and to them before she did anything. Maybe she was just having a bad morning, or maybe she is just a ...... regardless, I will be asking my doctor to refer me to a different facility and hopefully this one is just a little more respectful of others. Tom is great but I can never seem to get any call backs, answers to questions or procedures scheduled in a timely manner. You guys need to get your office together. I always have to wait and wait. I have to drive 3 hours to get there, so that is disappointing.I am over a week out from a visit and still have not heard anything about an MRI to be scheduled.

I agree the office staff does have room for improvement but Dr Schmidt is so fantastic I cant give anything less than 5 stars.

The place looked nice I suffer extreme pain awful the kind of pain nobody should have to deal with! I came here for HELP and received instructions to have EST electric shock therapy where they electrocute your brain causing small seizures! SORRY GUYS I THINK YOUR DUMB FOUR MAKING THIS SUGGESTION! Thanks for nothing guess the suffering must go on and Ill keep praying for the suffering to end.........

Dr. Kevin Schmidt is an amazing doctor who actually listens to you and then discusses the plan of action to treat your specific needs. Ive never met a more empathetic and considerate doctor who is willing to try as many types of care as needed until something finally works for you.

Dr. Schmidt saved my husbands life one week ago due to opioid dependence created by other doctors. He and the staff are the most professional, compassionate office we have found from Pueblo to Denver.

Dr. Schmidt tried to do a facet injection, but not realizing that I would be doing this under local instead of anesthesia, I had a vasovagal reaction. After I felt normal again, I asked Dr.Schmidt to please do it then with tears in my eyes, and he refused. I feel he genuinely cared about my health.The only complaint I have is the staff. The person who called to follow up on the procedure telling me that any Dr. who would do this under sedation did not have my best interest at heart, very arrogant. The staff in the surgery center were mediocre. Some very caring, others talking to eachother, ignoring me, unprofessional.5 stars for Dr. Schmidt 1 star for the staff.

The office is run really inefficiently, they mixed up my appointment and I had to wait over 2 hours. Cathy is very rude, lazy, and doesnt care about patients well being. I dont want to come back unless they fixed up who runs the front office.

Dr. Kuklo did a great job getting me back together. The entire staff from reception on up have been caring and helpful. I was lucky to find Dr. Kuklo through an internet search.The doctor that was recommend by the e.r. after receiving my MRI, but never reviewing it, said I didnt need to be seen in any rush and scheduled me 3 months out from my accident for my initial visit. I made a cold phone call and visited with one of the PA at CCSI and I was seen the next day by Dr. Kuklo and his PA Katie. They immediately scheduled me to be operated on. While we have had some highs and lows in my treatment over the last several years, I am forever thankful our paths crossed . I highly recommend this practice.

Mixed. The doctors are good but the office is run poorly. Havent had an appointment yet where I was seen within 45 minutes of the appointment time. Last one was at 11 am. I got there at 10:56 and checked in. At 11:40 I asked when I wass going to be seen. I was told the soonest would be in 40 minutes. 12:20 pm for an 11 am appointment is ridiculous. I took an early lunch for the 11 am appointment. They seems shocked when insiitedd on getting my co-pay back and rescheduling. They told me that the next appointment was a month later. The appointment is for a two week follow-up after a minor pocedure...it was alreeady schedduled three weeks after the procedure. So now my two week follow up appointment is seven weeks after what it is following up.

Not sure what to say? just bad! bad customer service. impossible to talk to a human and once you do they transfer you to a answering machine to leave a message for a human to call you back!
