A great welcoming party, full of interesting conversation & product knowledge for new clients waiting to be seen. Then, ANNALISE was very polite, thorough, and informative for each test and procedure that she walked me through. She was also very understanding that Ive neglected my eyes for almost 2 decades, definitely a judgment-free zone. Next, Dr. JENNY Won is outstanding as a person with her patience, careful to take the time needed to make sure things were carefully reviewed & explained. The fact that she was genuinely relatable and complimentary was great! EMILY is laid back in a way that makes you feel very comfortable for the finishing stages of the visit, especially when I needed to spend a larger amount of funds than I prepared for this visit. I left there feeling very silly for not taking an interest in my vision for the last 20 years, lol. (Im nearly 40 at the time of this visit). This place is GREAT! Dr. John Bardash has phenomenal bed side manner. I came to him for a second opinion after receiving a bad prescription from another eye doctor. Not only did he confirm the original Rx was bad, but he reassured me that if I had any issues with my new one from him to come back and he would re-review the Rx for free. He was professional but casual and it made the appointment very comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely go back! 10/10!

I’ve been to Dr. Spex’s for about two years now. The front office ladies are always amazing and incredibly helpful, specially Stephanie. She always has a tremendous attitude and disposition, not to mention she’s great with kids and my children LOVE her. I was seen by Dr. Wong today and she was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I always love coming to this place, whether it’s for contacts or to get new glasses. They go out of their way to please you and help you - like when I run out of contact lenses and I’m due for my yearly checkup but my appointment is a week or so away and they give me free trials until then. They don’t have to do that but they do. They glasses selection is great too, good for all budgets. I’m glad I found this place.

Dr. Won and her staff were incredibly accommodating. First, they worked me in as a very last minute addition. Secondly, Dr. Won spent so much time working with me to ensure that I had the lens that I needed to deliver the clarity and crispness that I was looking for. I actually felt that I was taking up too much of her time and keeping her from other patients with my OCD like pickiness. Medical people make the worst patients - I know this - and for that I truly appreciate just how much effort she gave to make sure all of my concerns, questions, and well, what about this random thoughts/ideas were addressed. I cannot recommend Dr. Won and her staff any more highly.

Dr. Spex is great! I have terrible vision and do not trust just anyone to care for my eyes. The front desk people were friendly and efficient. The eye tech was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Dr. B is friendly, personable, and I felt like he truly wanted the best for me. Finally working with TJ to figure out the right glasses, and sunglasses was seamless and efficient. I needed contact lenses, prescription glasses, and prescription sunglasses, got them all, in/out, and got a consultation for LASIK! They’ll be my go to from now on!!

Dr Bardash is an excellent optometrist. He not only updates my Spex prescriptions but has also sent me for additional procedures indicated by the annual retina scans.

Would be 5/5 if they didn’t get my first glasses order wrong (causing me to make a second trip in) and if they didn’t mistakenly mislead about one of the rebates (which I thankfully caught in time, but still this will require me to make another trip in). Great doctor, great personality in staff, but internal processes could use some work.

We were so impressed with the staff, service and use of technology at this office. We were happy to hear they don’t do the puff of air test anymore, but they use an updated technology to test for issues, as well as an optional Optomap technology instead of dilation (for an additional fee). The staff and doctor did a great job explaining everything and were all very friendly. I felt like they provided all the options and guidance to use my insurance benefits in the smartest way possible! So happy we chose Dr. Spex.

I’ve been going to see the crew at Dr Spex for a couple of years now and am always impressed with their helpfulness and completely satisfied their services. They’ve gone out of their way and even “above and beyond” to accommodate and assist, and spent as much time helping me that was necessary, I’ve never felt rushed. Doctor Bardash is great, friendly & down-to-earth, and very knowledgeable. Working up front, Stephanie has always been extremely accommodating, friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Their business is a class act!

I paid $200 for a contact lens prescription that I still dont have. Dr. John Bardash did not have any trial contacts in stock, so his assistant, Stephanie, supposedly placed an order for trials. I needed to try three different prescriptions, and two different brands because the sizes are not uniform across brands. So ok great, I can wait for trials to come in and then the doctor will finalize the prescription. No problem--here is my two hundred dollars for the exam and the prescription that will be finalized in a few days. Sounds fair to me.I waited three weeks and no one called me. I called the assistant Stephanie, and asked if my contacts were in. She said oh um, yea we have one pair, but not the others. I think the delivery must be delayed. Uh, ok- so I went to pick up one trial pair and took them home. I asked her when the others would be in, because the whole point of ordering multiple pairs is so that I can compare them. She said she does not know how long it will take.My original exam was on July 24th. I called again at the beginning of SEPTEMBER to ask if my contacts were in yet. Stephanie said no they are still not in. And I said- ok, well I need a refund because it’s been about six weeks since I paid you for a contact lens prescription that I still dont have. At this point, Im in desperate need of contacts, so Im going to have to go get ANOTHER exam done by a different doctor. I just want a refund. She said she would ask the doctor for a refund.I went another week not hearing from the office, and called again on September 9th, and the receptionist told me she doesnt know about my contacts because Stephanie is on vacation. So I said ok, I just want a refund. She said she would ask Bardash if I could have a refund and she hung up.An hour later, John Bardash left me the most condescending and threatening voicemail, treating me like a naughty child. He said if you want to come in to the office and be NICE, then I will agree to finalize your prescription. This is about seven weeks after I already paid him for a prescription. His office STILL doesnt have the trials I need in order to finalize the prescription, and on top of that, hes telling me he will only give me what I already paid for if I crawl in on my knees and be nice to him?At this point, I just want a refund. I already went to another doctor, who ordered trial contacts that arrived in three days, at which point he finalized the prescription. So six weeks after an exam, I still dont have a prescription from Bardash, I just want my refund.

This place was awesome! I immediately felt so welcome and comfortable when I stepped through the door. Everyone, including Dr. Won, was so kind and helpful which made everything flow seamlessly from check-in, to the exam, and check out. I will definitely be back for my future eye exams!

The care and service I received here was probably one of the best I have had for eye care! I came at the very end of their day and was the last appointment to be received. Usually at the end of a shift people are tired or you feel like they are in a hurry to get you out but not at Dr. Spex! Everyone was super friendly and genuinely kind. Eye exams in general can feel rushed or like you arent doing the exam fast enough choosing between which fame is clearer or worse. Dr. Won was friendly and encouraging during each frame we went through. I never once felt like I was making the wrong decision on which frame was clearer, or feeling like I was second guessing myself. I appreciate that the team gave me time to pick out glasses an give genuine feedback on what worked great for my facial features. Genia was fantastic and helped me feel comfortable trying new frame styles. Its the friendliness of this office that makes me want to come back again.

My initial visit wasnt so bad, however they did refer me to a specialist that wasnt covered under my insurance, given that they asked for this information prior to the appointment, that was a bit irritating. Otherwise appointment was pretty standard.When I came back for my fitting, a different doctor worked with me. I had already been advised the prescription I got was the highest available and since my prescription was above that, it was only going to be ok vision, not perfect. , the second doctor advised me he could get me a stronger prescription. Okay, great! I like being able to see, and if you can help me see better thats awesome.So then I went up front to pay. The receptionist-who was a little distracted and seemed unsure of what he was doing- argued with me that Id already used my benefits for the year months prior, which, at the time he was stating 1. I had barely gotten the insurance and 2. was under quarantine. he kept arguing then called my insurance. Oh silly him, my insurance had been used on my initial appointment. No real apology, he just finished processing me.So then I paid, went home, and got a call back from them. Same receptionist had charged me for the wrong contacts and the right ones were about $80 more. Im already super annoyed with this guy but whatever, paid them over the phone and was told I should get my contacts in a week.3 days LATER the second doctor calls me back and advises me that he was mistaken, they dont actually make contacts in the prescription he prescribed, so the first prescription was the best they can do, which was disappointing and also very irritating that he didnt bother to check on what was available before submitting the request..Overall Im less than impressed with my interaction with them and its not likely Ill go back to them again.

Dr.B is always kind and willing to listen to what’s going on. He’s positive and makes each visit enjoyable. His staff are nice people too! All around nice group to visit!

This is now the second experience at this eye doctor that I haven’t enjoyed. I really wish I didn’t have to write this, but it should be known. I should mentions that it is not the eye doctor that should be blamed, but unfortunately the staff that assist in the process have not been efficient at the job and also not very professional. I spent 30 minutes of them trying to get the right image of my eyes instead of being asked to forego the machinery and just dilate my eyes with drops. It was clarified when I addressed with Doctor that it was the machine, but there was never apologies exchanged for the inconvenience. I also had a staff in a previous visit very impatient that my peripherals were not registering (it’s my vision like if there’s a problem, it should be known). I will not be returning.

First time going to this clinic and i am very happy with the service! Staff was great, organized and friendly, everything was explained to me easily, eye exam was fast and the doctor was very dedicated to get a precise result for my prescription, everyone working there have a good energy and friendly touch. Definitely will recommend this clinic to friends and family.

All I can say is WOW this has been the best optometrist experience I have ever had! Every single person in this office was so incredibly nice, made my wife and I feel very welcome and like they genuinely cared about us! I can’t begin to say how refreshing that was, especially coming from America’s Best where the help is mediocre at best. So glad we chose them, can’t wait to continue to give them my business!

Fantastic place!We had been going to a place we weren’t happy with for far too many years, hoping that somehow it would get better, but it didn’t, so we went shopping for a new optometrist, which I hate doing. I hate shopping for anything new, it’s always such a pain and you take a gamble that it’s going to be even worse, you know?So, I will admit, I was skeptical at first, because there wasn’t an online appointment form to speak of or anything, and when I called, nobody answered the phone and I had to leave a message for somebody to call me back. Honestly, I figured that was the end of that, but it’s close to the house, (walking distance if it wasn’t literally freezing outside) so I left a message and kept looking through the other optical choices on my insurance website.Poked around online and procrastinated a bit, (whatever, you know you do it, too) got distracted, looked at frames, plated some online games on my phone and then lo and behold, probably an hour or so later I got a return phone call!I was on the phone with a client at the time, so it went to voicemail and I promptly forgot about it. The next day I listened to the message (after my melodramatic brother called and left three voicemails that I had to listen to the first five seconds of that reminded me I had a voicemail from the doctor’s office). Immediately I had to play the message for my daughter, because the voice on the message was the kindest, bubbliest, most enthusiastically friendly sounding voice that I’ve ever heard in my life. It seemed unreal. I was compelled to call back. I had to see if the person that left that message was really as kind as they sounded. (Spoiler alert: the answer is yes)From the people you speak to in the phone and at the front desk (like Annie, the enthusiastically sweet voice on the phone, who was just as lovely in person) to Annalise, the optometric technician who was thoroughly adorable and put both my daughter and I at ease. Then there was Dr. Won, who was kind, personable and very thorough in both of our exams (she even had a lengthy discussion with my preteen over the merits and wisdom of Disney’s seeming determination to remake every one of their animated blockbusters into a live-action film... and who might be cast in future roles).Not to be outdone, Genia who helped us with our frames and insurance questions, was very knowledgeable and also personable and friendly. Both she and Dr. Won stayed late helping us with our glasses and chatting like we were all old friends at a wine club.She helped us find the best frames for both of us, made sure they were a good fit and that the options we wanted were available and when one of the options I really wanted simply wasn’t being manufactured anymore, she went out of her way to find an alternative for me that IS still being manufactured and is very similar to the option I was pining after.All in all, we spent about an hour longer in the office than I had planned to, but it was honestly the best care we’ve ever received from start to finish and we left feeling like we had found our new optometric home.We both give this place and the fantastic people within an enthusiastic four thumbs up!Highly recommend you check it out yourself.

I thought their pricing was fair. I will definitely continue to go there in the future for eye exams/glasses.

I was pleasantly surprised by this facility. Dr. Jenny Won was cheerful and thorough. She educated me and answered all my questions. She even took the extra step of measuring my cornea thickness to see if I could get a Lasik touch up.The staff was extra helpful in figuring out how to pay for glasses and contacts. ( A VISION CARE INSURANCE POLICY. Apparently is cheap). They even gave me the name of several they knew worked well.The facility was visually appealing. The selection of glasses frames was great. This was a very positive experience.

So many good things to say, so Ill just list them: appointment was quick, no puff test, option to *not* have eyes dilated during appointment, large selection of frames, very helpful and friendly staff, great prices. The two associates who work up front are especially fun to work with (who ever thought one of these appointments could be fun?); one picked out a set of frames for me I would never have considered and the moment I put them on, I knew they were the ones. Dr. Bardash is so easy to communicate with and he takes time to explain test/imaging results in terms that are easy to comprehend.

Ive been coming to Dr. Spex (Dr. Bardash) for a few years after my husband found him while suffering lifelong issues with his vision. Dr. Bardash was the first to correct what had been plaguing him for years. Although my sight issues arent nearly as bad as my husbands, the awesome customer service has kept me coming back. I used to work in DTC (thanks to Covid, I no longer do), but I will still drive way out of my way to come here for my vision needs. Everyone in the office is personable, responsive and caring. Seeing Dr. Bardash is like seeing an old friend everytime I visit... down to earth, knowledgeable, caring, and just awesome! So glad that my husband found him!
