Best place to get a Mac fixed the right way. The worker there was very helpful and honest bout everything. He had my Mac fixed in no time. And he helped me with every question I had, and showed me how to do this and that what to expect later down the road. Not to mention the pricing was very good for what he did.. Even told more bout which Mac to buy and how soon to buy it.. Overall they were very very good at they do.. Thank Mac Tracks of Denton TX.

The first time I called I received above and beyond customer service. The second time I called when I was ready to proceed with my repair, the representative was rude, argumentative, condescending, unprofessional and told me he couldn’t help me. When I explained to him my previous experience and information provided by other technicians, he told me I was foolish. I do not recommend this service because he in no way attempted to attain my business when I had called specifically to schedule a repair.

I have taken my computers to Mactracks several times and always received top-flight treatment. The quality of their work is unsurpassed; their professionalism is beyond approach. Jason is a treasure; he explained every part of their service until I was completely clear. He, as a representative of Mactracks, has not only repaired my laptop, but he has taught me how best to use my computer, that is, informed me of practices that might shorten the life of my computer. And value? I believe that their fees are fair and appropriate. So, the true value of Mactracks is that they offer all of this at a fair price. Obviously, I recommend them highly; they are expert.

My son dropped some water on my MacBook so I took it in to this shop, JUST TO DROP IT OFF I HAD TO PAY 90$. Then I was told it would be 48hrs before it could be diagnosed. They didn’t get back to me for a week. A week is a long time to go without your computer during a pandemic where everyone works from home. A phone call to let me know they were working on it would have been thoughtful and professional but no, zero contact. Then I get a call saying the “quote” is ready. Just to have them look at my computer it’s already cost me almost 100$. Now they call and say It will be 890$ to fix my computer but they aren’t sure whether it will work or not. To transfer the data to another device it’s going to be $190. I’ve been in the IT world before, data transfer isn’t hard and considering I’ve already paid 90 I assumed that the remainder of the cost would be 100$ but no, looks like it’s the 90$ to give me a quote and 190 to transfer data and 890 to fix. This computer sells new for under the cost to “fix with doubts of working” what a total joke and waste of time and money. I’m going to go get my computer back and find an honest company to help me, stay away from this company it is a total scam.

I went to Mactracks for a battery replacement on an older iPhone. As another reviewer mentioned, the Apple website lets you schedule an appointment, even though batteries very likely wont be available when you show up as theyre in short supply at the current time. However, the staff at Mactracks went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied and and to take care of me as quickly as possible. Once a battery was available, it was handled promptly and in a quality manner. The only negative is that they call you when a battery shipment is received and you have one hour to show or they make the battery available to another customer. Fortunately, they called me to make me aware that a battery was available just as I was leaving work for the day and I was able to get it replaced that day. It worked for me, but I would suggest a little more flexibility (maybe 24 hours to arrive) would be more reasonable. Other that, it was a very good experience.

I had everything backed up, but Mac tracks wanted to charge me $600 to install a new 2tb sea gate hard drive that was still under warranty by the manufacture. Mac tracks of Denton would not work with me and told me that this happens with user installed hard drives. Then when I showed them that the hard drive was installed by them they said they would not charge me the $48 check in fee. For a hard drive that was still under warranty and that was less then a year old Mac tracks would not help me. Mac tracks is good at fixing computers, but when it comes to fixing their mistakes they blame it on someone else and won’t help you. Also most of them will recommend that you only buy the mid 2012 Mac book pro and that it was a mistake for me to fix up my 2011 MacBook Pro, after I had paid them to fix my computer. DISHONEST! My mid-2011 iMac is considered vintage by Apple, so they pointed me toward Mactracks for an upgrade to my current RAM of 4GB. I called and was quoted a price for adding an 8GB package (for a total of 12GB). When I took my computer in, they wanted to charge me $50 more than what I was quoted. After some back and forth, they honored the original price I was told. It didnt take them long to add the memory, but when I got back home and turned on my computer, I saw that I only had 8GB installed. What happened to the other 4GB?I have 4 memory slots on my computer. Two held one 2GB card each, and they were to install two more 4GB cards in the remaining slots. I called Mactracks and was told that they had moved the original two 2GB cards from the primary slots to add the two 4GB cards in their place and inadvertently skipped a step in which they reset the memory in the computer. Because they had not reset the computer, it wasnt showing that the two 2GB cards were there. I was told to bring the computer back in so they could reset and I could see all 12GB of memory. I insisted that when I arrive, they open the computer and show me all 4 memory cards. Given the disagreement about the price and now the missing memory, I did not feel good about whether I was being cheated. They said they would do as I asked. When I arrived, they started to take the computer to the back. I told them I wanted them to open it and show me the 4 cards first. They said they needed to connect it to their network to reset it and then they could show me all was in order. I allowed them to take it back because I was tired of arguing with them. When they brought it back out, they showed me the 4 cards and turned it on to show me all 12GB of memory was there. I went home feeling frustrated by the service but glad I eventually got what I paid for.I have since called Apple tech support and learned THERE IS NO RESET REQUIRED when memory is upgraded. Basically, the cards that are in the slots - any slot - will show up when you turn the computer on. If you go to About This Mac and look under the Memory tab, it will show you exactly what is there. SO MACTRACKS LIED. Whether they simply forgot to put the two 2GB cards back in (which is a human error I can understand) or whether they purposely only installed the 8GB I purchased, we will never know because THEY LIED about the process. You can make up your own mind on that one, what I do know is that they thought I am such an idiot that this reset line would be good enough to shoo me away.Once I confirmed there is no magical reset button and that they LIED, I called asking to speak to the owner. I was given an email address. When I asked for a number, I was told that she doesnt even give her own employees her number. Seriously??? Now, you dont have to be a computer genius to see through that one. There was no offer to take my contact information and have her contact me instead, simply a rude question of what more do you want?. I suppose wanting honest service and accountability is too much to ask. Apple needs to stop referring people to this place.

Mactrack told me they needed to diagnose the problem for $48.71, then I was told I needed repairs cause by surges, note that; Apple had told me all I needed was the battery, but I agreed out desparation and was charged $195.92 for this said repair which ended up taking a week instead of the initial 24hrs I had been told. when I finally got back my laptop, it worked for 5 days and shut off again, I was still under the warranty with Mactracks so I took the laptop, they asked me to pay more money for diagnosis again, apperently for some excuse warranty was not applicable. I refused their service and went back to the Applestore I had began with and Alas, was told nothing was wrong with my laptop this whole time except the Mactracks guy had not fully screwed in the logic board. Needless to say I will not be recommending Mactracks to anyone I know. I definately intend to tell anyone who can listen about my experience.

This is the kind of business you want to use if you want personalized attention and not be turned into just a number with an assigned appointment time.Kudos to Brandon Crofford who helped me verify what I thought was wrong already. I needed a new MagSafe power adapter for my laptop. I was thankful that my laptop was not checked in for a service fee when it was such a simple fix. This will be my go to business for fixing my iPhone and MacBook. It’s a little tricky to find if you’re not familiar with the area though. Get yourself into the Mayhill Plaza behind the QT and Dickey’s BBQ and you’ll find it.

I was charged $50 just for them to tell me what i already knew, just was trying to get my computer unlocked and that problem wasn’t fixed at all and i was still out of $50.. on top of that, there were missing screws to my computer when i got it back and my computer was just thrown back together with no care at all. very poor experience with mactracks

I had brought in a computer for services. I spoke to Someone over the phone. They did not let me know over the phone before I drove out of my way what their protocol was, and that because my computer was out of warranty that I would have to pay for diagnostics. I wasted an hour and a half of my day on this. Boo!

Stole my money and did not fix the computer. At first they offered to send someone to repair it, and then changed their mind and told us that when we walk out of the shop with the computer they are no longer responsible. Threatened to use police and lawyers to try to scare us. Thieves!!!!

They kept my Mac for a week, charged me $50 for a diagnostic and told me the entire thing needed to be rebuilt for $750. I took it to a non “authorized” guy with a small shop and he said it was just the IOS=$89. They tried to rip me off. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!
