Zeke the barber is the BEST ever! The whole TEAM (allie, lauren, and anne, jasmine,some and KD the barber!) at studio one16 is amazing every time me and the kids go we are greeted like family. Everyone is positive and full of spirit and their work is beyond perfection! Colors, cuts, fades, you name it they do it! We do not go anywhere else. We trust them with our hair!!! I love them all!!!!!

I do not recommend Lauren Logan as a stylist. I don’t know much about the other stylist there. I got nothing what I asked for and it is the worst color job I’ve ever had and I’ve been getting my hair done for 15 years. She spent five hours putting a semi permanent color on my roots and THATS IT. I asked the stylist if she had done this look before and she said “yes a ton of times.” When I was about to cry she told me “it’s just hair.” And blamed my hair type for the result when my other stylist have never had an issue. I am spending about $350-$400 just to correct it. I wish I could post pictures but I don’t see the option.

I know many makeup artists, hair stylists, and have become regular clients to many salons over the years in hopes of finding a home salon. After having said that since I discovered, met and tried out for myself the services provided by this beauty bar... that I will NEVER be on the hunt for a home salon ever again. That is also easy for me to say being that I now live in a completely different state and MAKE TRIPS to see my girls specifically for my hair! They are so amazing, empowering and caring! They really take into consideration the integrity of your hair skin etc unlike most other salons who just want your business and money. They do an excellent job of make you feel not only right at home, but SAFE! I cant wait to plan my next trip to Texas for my hair appointment! I MISS MY LUCKY LOCKS LADIES!

If you want a unicorn transformation or just a touch up this is the salon for you. These ladies are beyond talented. Mimosas, margaritas and other tasty beverages are always available. I feel better just walking into this place. And ALWAYS look amazing when I leave. ❤

These ladies are amazing! If you want a real beauty bar experience this is the place. I drive all the way from Fort Worth for every special occasion to get my unicorn on at Lucky Locks. They have the best price on extensions and make overs. Not to mention these ladies are very involved in the community, you cant get much better!!

Truly one of the the best kept secrets in Denton! If you are looking for a one of a kind look, when it comes to hair, makeup, hair or lash extensions, airbrush tanning, the list goes on, this is your place. All the stylists are professional, but most of all, compassionate. They are there to serve your unique needs, wants and desires. Not sure how you could want more than that from a salon.

Buyer beware. I set up a consultation with the owner for microbead hair extensions. She was 30 minutes late to the meeting so I should have seen that as a sign and gone elsewhere but I didn’t. She quoted me a price that we agreed too and said she would order the hair. She called me when it came in so I could have it put in. During the process I was happy but thought it was weird that she did it with my back to the mirror. She said she wanted me to be surprised with a big reveal at the end. When she was done and turned me around I had long hair and was good with it. When I got home I went to put it in a ponytail and realized she didn’t put in microbead extensions she put in the tape extensions. I called to complain and was told they are just as good but less harsh on the hair and was asked to please give them a try. I didn’t wash my hair for 2 days as instructed. When I could finally wash my hair on the 3rd day all but 6 of the extensions fell out. Do you think the owner solid anything about it???? Nope she couldn’t care less. Please save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Being new to Denton, I needed to find a salon that listened to my needs and knew how to do my hair. Im graying now and that has presented some challenges for me. Enter Lucky Locks. They listen to me and do a fabulous job with my hair. They are up on the latest trends, yet do not force me into that mold. I also very much appreciate the female empowerment and support that the salon embraces. Im a Lucky Locks believer!

I have seen some previous reviews and it was totally not my experience at all. I think it has to be a mistake of some kind. The owner personally acknowledged my presents and is so kind and will go out of her way to help me feel young again!! My husband was with me and was treated as great as I was! Go see for yourself. **BLOCKED ON FB BY OWNER TO AVOID A NEGATIVE REVIEW**I loved this salon until they made a mistake. They did a great job the first time on my hair; I received so many compliments! This time instead of my hair being highlights with low lights - it was over processed and turned gray/silver/light purple. Even though the refund policy says the deposit is non-refundable; they also refused to refund the cost of coloring my hair ($185) even though the hair dresser messed up. After the owner called me telling me my hair was done correctly and that I was advised it would take two weeks for my hair to be the color I wanted; it made me very nervous about allowing them to attempt to fix it. All I asked for was the money spent to color my hair back so I could go to a different salon to fix the damage they had done. I think the issue here is they were over booked, which I imagine is common for a 5 star salon, the hair dresser was attempting to color two clients hair at the same time. Unfortunately mine got neglected. The left side was light gray, back was almost white gray, and the right side of my head was purple. I washed it three times with sulfate free shampoo (no color) and the gray and purple stayed - no blonde. Rating two stars because they did do a great job the first time.

These ladies have the skill and knowledge of a much more expensive salon-- but the atmosphere is that of a friendly neighborhood shop. Virtually anything you could need from a salon is handled with fantastic results here. Low-key yet professional, these ladies have set up a high-end salon experience with small town charm. Nobody is better than Amanda with my hair. I have so much trouble going anywhere else because no other colorist or stylist yeilds the same result with my hair in nearly 8 years. I schedule appointments in advance of my trips back to Texas (I dont even live in the state anymore but I still go to Lucky Locks) so that I can get the best cut & color services in the DFW area. Highly recommend!

Lucky Locks Beauty Bar saved me from MUCH embarrasment!!! I tried to put some blonde in my hair and turned my hair into a horrible mess. It was a Sunday and they were closed and i had to be at work by 1 on Monday!!. Lauren contacted Allison and she got me in the next day even though it was her day off!!! WOW!! The salon smelled like weed and all of the girls had dirty/messy hair. I came in to get an appointment and everyone ignored me. They were clearly there to party and not professional at the least. I finally left after 30 minutes, and I was in there so long I probably smell like weed to.
