I love this company…Period. After IDA took down multiple trees and left almost every utility line lying on the ground, we knew from previous experiences that it would not be long before we saw those trucks and the linemen that only DEMCO has. Through every hurricane we have dealt with such as Andrew and Katrina, DEMCO has always been working to bring back our coveted electricity. Less than one week later after IDA, we saw those reliable men walking down our long driveway. No matter who services our needs, we always offer cold drinks and even ice cream root beer floats. One man named Beau told us the truth (rare for most). and explained that we might not get our power back due to the severe widespread damage. My husband worked as a lineman and facility tech with AT&T for almost 45 years, so we understood Beau’s reasoning. He told us they would try their hardest but if they could restore 200 customer’s power first, we might be part of the 10 customers that need more attention before being restored. When they left (after dark) we waited for our security light to tell us we had electricity. Our neighbor to our right had lights, but we and several others were still in the dark. A few days later Beau came by to check on us! When we told him we were still without power, he freaked! Lol Literally.He said another lineman had a man with long white hair and a beard had stopped and asked him when we could expect to have power restored. My husband remembered Beau and told the lineman he found working on the side of the road that we understood, but our sweet neighbor has cancer and recently lost her husband. We had been sharing our generator with her too. God is amazing. The lineman found Beau and told him our situation and he came by on the way home. He was shocked to see that the fuse that powered us and our neighbors had not been re-set on the pole. He apologized over and over and took his ‘hot stick’ and VOILA! We had power!Never let it be said that DEMCO does not care about their customers. THEY CARE. God has ALWAYS sent us His very best people throughout our lives. Just remember they too have had tough times. Treat people how you would want to be treated. Thank you so much to all of the workers at DEMCO who like my husband did for AT&T, come from far and near to make sure we are back up and running. Wish we had Demco of years past. Recently had a power surge to which we received four different chase your tail stories from personnel that one would hope would be qualified to explain technical situations. Long story short- dont buy into any stories they may tell you- do your own investigation. Just sorry that we have to give them one star as we really would give none for the run-around they provided us !

This review is for the men who come out during power outages. At my previous address I had Entergy,and the power was always going out and it took forever to get it fixed. Demco has been much better. These guys were out there working in the middle of the storm. I have been really impressed with them.

Entergy has Demco beat hands down. Entergy has polite employees that actually try to help. I observed today at Demco, employees being rude and on a power trip to everyone they helped in their fish bowl. Not one smile. Not a hint of encouragement. Didnt even take the time to listen before shaking her head at people as they were explaining themselves. Demco Electric fire your fish bowl employees at the Denham Springs location.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!! They will cut your services with no hesitation for non-payment, but move slow and have a book of excuses on what they do wrong!!!!

This is a sad excuse for an electric company. I moved to my new home less than 4 weeks ago and have already been experiencing issues with this company. Previously, I had Entergy supplying my power for an entire year and NEVER had an issue, not even once! When I called into Demco to get this resolved, it was next to impossible to get a human on the other side of the phone. Once I was finally connected to a person on the other end, the woman seemed uninterested in the fact that my power had turned off for no reason. She was also absolutely no help at answering my questions and could not even provide a reliable time frame in which my power would be restored. This is a Thursday in August, and if power is not turned back on by EOD Friday, then it wont be back on till Monday since they dont do services on the weekends. I then asked to speak with the supervisor, since I had been given some misleading information earlier in the day. This supervisor was extremely rude to me and also not much of a help at all, even though I was extremely polite on the phone. All I have to say is RUN, RUN FAR AWAY FROM ANYWHERE THIS COMPANY SERVICES. Or if you cant, PRAY that you never experience an issue with your power. And to Demco, GET YOUR FREAKING ACT TOGETHER.

Horrible awful shameful service always have excuses but dont do their job have been waiting 3 hours told them my baby just got shots and they say well we cant give you any type of time. Well its been 3 hours and I swear if I could change company would in a heartbeat horrible
