The excellency exhibited by Dr. Hood & his staff began the day before I actually went in. My situation was somewhat of an emergency as I am needing my wisdom teeth extracted. The receptionist checked all of their locations to try and accommodate me. She was able to schedule me for 8am the next morning. Upon arrival my paperwork was labeled on the counter. Everyone was extremely friendly and the office has a very clean and contemporary feel to it. I will definitely be back.

Needing a new dentist is not fun but in an emergency situation it a must. Hood dental employee, Holly, answered my call after hours and set me up for the next morning. I had lost a crown during lunch that day. Next day I got the pleasure of meeting nearly all of the employees and Dr. Andrew and spent hours with them. New dentist, new plan to get back on track, repair made same day and no pain! I’m hooked and happy as can be. Thank you all for making it such an easy start with your office and handling my problem so quick!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental office! Everyone was so kind and made me super comfortable with everything going on. Hood Dental in Watson La. did a great job of assessing my needs, referring me to an oral surgeon for removal of two impacted wisdom teeth then seeing me for a crown placement and root canal. They have been nothing but professional and courteous. Dr. Danny is super nice, explains procedures in detail and is empathetic to the patient needs. Maddie assisted in my procedure yesterday. She was attentive and anticipated Dr. Danny’s needs during the procedure very well. I have approximately 80-90 direct reports in my daily job as an ER manager and I can say I’d choose Hood Dental again for my needs as well as my family’s needs.

I had to get 2 crowns in most likely the worst spot in your mouth(for you and the dentist)sorry Danny, but it went very smooth. Dr. Danny and Maddie(hope I spelled that right) were both very accommodating during the whole process, I felt no pain during the procedure, I didn’t even feel the shots because they numbed my gums with gel prior to the shots. At the end when it came to the part of inserting the actual crowns, we went over and adjusted my bite until I was satisfied. Me and my family recommend Hood Dental for any dental needs that you may have, especially root canals, they love doing those!(and are very good at them) Anyway, everyone here works seamlessly great together and are genuine people that are there to take care of you and your dental needs.

I recently had an old filling redone - I don’t like going to the dentist especially outside of my semiannual exam and cleaning appts. The sounds, the invasiveness of someone in my mouth, etc. all make me super anxious. That being said, Dr. Hood and his staff were REMARKABLE. They told me in advance it would take about 5 minutes to do the actual work and they stood by that. Dr. Hood asked me probably 10 times if I was okay during the treatment and made it as painless and efficient as possible given the situation, knowing how I was feeling. Once the numbness wore off I felt 100% normal and no pain or rough areas where the work was done - I have ever had a filling done by another dentist where I couldn’t feel the material on my teeth afterward, so this was a first and I’m so appreciative. 10/10 would recommend Dr. Hood and his staff for your dentistry needs!

Very nice people and good at what they do.

Wife went in for a consultation visit months ago and told the Dentist that she wanted to have 2 implants put in amd 2 crowns installed and was given a single price sheet of $6000. She goes back in for the next step appointment and she’s told that it’s going to cost almost $15000 for the complete process. Terrible communication on the Dentist and staffs part. If you use them make sure you get a signed total price sheet up front!! Highly not recommended.

I have had several dental procedures over the years. A few crowns and a few fillings. I have never, in 37 years, enjoyed going to the dentist. But since we recently moved to the Watson area, and needed a new dentist. Hood came highly recommended. After a few months of procrastination, I finally made an appointment. I could not believe how nice and friendly all the staff was. They hygienist and dentist were so nice, explained everything, made sure I was comfortable. They made a dental plan that made sense to me and will keep my dental health in great shape. I could not have asked for a better experience at the dentist. I never thought I would say this about a dentist, but Im looking forward to my next visit.

I have had the pleasure of meeting a great dentist in the Zachary area at Hood Dental. Dr Free replaced a crown on my tooth and did an amazing job of explaining each facet of the procedure. So many good things!! They have longer hours on Wednesday so kids don’t have to miss school. Also, Zoom whitening is available for instant whiter teeth at a reasonable price. The staff is really helpful and friendly. My granddaughter and I were very happy with Hood Dental in Watson!

The most amazing staff! From assisting me in scheduling myself and both kids and working around my work schedule. They informed me of what insurance would cover and not. Took care of my son when he had an anxiety attack over getting a cavity filled. They took care of each child as I bounced from room to room to check on them. They saw all 3 of us, performed new patient x-rays, cleaning, sealants, fluoride treatments, and dealt with an anxious child cavity all in 2.5 hours. My kids absolutely loved Dr. Andrew and the entire staff there. They are actually excited to go back!

Everyone was nice except for the dental hygienist. I found that it is more about getting paid than it is about pleasing the clients. I told her that she missed a spot that was really bothering me when she was doing a “so called” deep cleaning. She told me if she missed anything she would get it on the next visit. Why didn’t she just clean the area. I started to make an appointment with another dentist because,of course, my gums hadn’t healed cause she missed the problem area. After spending so much on a deep cleaning there I decided to give them the opportunity to correct the problem. Second visit she did her ,so called, cleaning and still missed the problem area. I told her she missed the area again. She told me she did clean it. Why wouldn’t she just go back over the area? I’m trying to decide after thousands of dollars should I start all over again with another dentist. I wouldn’t recommend them.
